Built in 1890 as a forest ranger station and used as a children’s home from 1950 to 2006.
Nestled in a wooded area, the vacation rental on Kammweg in Jöhstadt offers the perfect retreat for families and nature lovers. Enjoy the breathtaking view of the picturesque landscape and the passing Preßnitztalbahn (steam train service from May through October), which runs right through the valley in front of the house. Countless adventures and experiences await here.
The surrounding area is ideal for hiking and biking, while in winter, sledding and snowshoeing await you in the snow. For younger guests, there is a children’s playroom as well as a playground in the forest (about 300 meters away), highlighting the family-friendly nature of this accommodation. 
In summer, you’ll be thrilled by kilometers of bike trails along the Schwarzwassertal valley.
In winter, approximately 12 km of cross-country ski trails are groomed in Jöhstadt for cross-country skiers. There’s also a ski lift right behind the house. If that’s too easy for you, feel free to head to the ski resorts in Oberwiesenthal, Bozi Dar, or Keilberg, all about 15 km away.

Spacious vacation rental (approx. 140 m²) for 6–8 people on the 2nd floor of a former children’s home in Jöhstadt

• Living room with integrated kitchenette (approx. 36 m²) featuring a dishwasher, mini-oven, refrigerator, freezer, ceramic cooktop, coffee maker, electric kettle, microwave, toaster, dining table for 8 people, LED TV, and a cozy corner sofa.
• "Garden View" double bedroom: 1 box-spring bed (180x200), large closet, 1 dresser,
• Children’s room approx. 20 m²
"Mountain View" double bedroom: 1 box-spring bed (180x200), 1 wardrobe, 1 dresser
Double Room “Valley View”: 2 box-spring beds (90×200), wardrobe, dresser, 1 small bathroom sink.
• Bathroom: 1 shower and 2 toilets in the same room, separated by a wall; 3 sinks and 1 children’s sink.
• Common lounge on the first floor, approx. 36 m², with TV, foosball table, game console, projector, and stereo system.
• Garden, approx. 800 m² with plenty of space to relax and enjoy yourself. Barbecuing is possible on a portable grill or, optionally, in the barbecue hut; 1 fire pit, 1 seating area, and more.



On-site costs: A 20% deposit may be charged after booking. Payment is due in cash on-site. Cancellations made up to 14 days before arrival are free of charge. Later cancellations will be charged at 90% of the total price. Check-in is from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Check-out is from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Keys will be handed over in person on-site or via a key safe. The owner lives in the house. Pets are not allowed. A baby bed/rollaway bed and a high chair are available upon request. The guest tax is €1.80 per day per person and is payable in cash upon arrival. A security deposit of €200 per stay is due on-site upon arrival. Non-smoking home! Check-in is available from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and check-out from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
