The Kötschach - Mauthen - Vorhegg ski area is a small but fine ski area with 6 km of slopes and 37 km of cross-country trails. Other ski resorts in the region include the Nassfeld ski area with 110 kilometres of slopes, the Zettersfeld ski area at the foot of the Schleinitz in the Lienzer Dolomites in East Tyrol with 21 kilometres of slopes or the Golzentipp family ski area in Obertilliach in the eastern Tyrolean Hochpustertal with 12 kilometres of slopes. There are many activities such as hiking, walking and mountain biking. Also visit Wolayersee and Frischenkofel to experience the impressive mountains and lakes. In summer, the Waldbad Mauthen natural pool or the Pressegger See east of Hermagor offer lots of swimming fun!
