Panschenhagen is an idyllic little village. At its heart is a spacious village square with a historic manor house, which today serves as a pottery studio. Be sure to visit the pottery studios of Friedemann Henschel and Mario Knobloch.
You’ll find plenty to do in the climatic health resort of Waren (Müritz), 10 km away, which is well-developed for tourism and has a lot to offer (historic old town, marina, boat rentals, pubs, cafes, restaurants, the Müritzeum, a climbing park, and much more)
Nearby destinations also include the Mecklenburg Switzerland Nature Park and Lake Kummerow, the 1,000-year-old Ivennacker Oaks, the Müritz National Park, Lake Müritz, Lake Ulrichshusen, Lake Malchin, and the particularly beautiful swimming spot in Schorssow.
The castles—Schlitz Castle, Schorssow Castle, and Basedow Castle, as well as the well-known concert venue Ulrichshusen Castle (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival), form a true cultural trail through Mecklenburgische Schweiz, which borders directly on Panschenhagen.
Many artists and artisans have settled between Waren and Teterow. Visit the sculpture park in Görtzhausen or Suse Döbler’s hand-weaving workshop in Dahmen. Local recreational activities include horseback riding in Klocksin with the Enning family, hiking, water hiking, biking, golfing in Teschow or Serrahn, fishing, swimming, and wellness.
