Villa Luna by the sea in Calabria

Relax in this peaceful accommodation with panoramic views of the sea, the beach, and the picturesque old town of San Nicola Arcella. This region in southern Italy is blessed with sunshine—and not just in the summer. Enjoy the picturesque towns of San Nicola Arcella, Maretea, Tropea, Naples, and Pompeii, or the long sandy beaches and caves with azure-blue water. If you love the mountains, you can also go hiking or mountain biking here in the hinterland. Calabria is one of Italy’s most beautiful regions.

The Accommodation
First, park your car in the free parking lot in front of the house. You’ll enter the enclosed garden with views of the sea, the historic center of San Nicola Arcella, and the mountains. The garden, paved with natural stone, is approximately 100 square meters in size. Then you’ll climb a few steps up to the loggia (with a washing machine in a niche) and the front door of the house. You’ll enter directly into the approximately 30-square-meter living and dining area, which features a pull-out sofa bed for two people. There is also a pull-out single bed, a wardrobe, a fully equipped kitchenette, a dining table, a TV, etc. A spiral staircase leads to the bedroom and the bathroom with a shower. From the bedroom, you can access the balcony with a panoramic view. From there, a spiral staircase takes you up to the 20-square-meter rooftop terrace with a 360-degree view. Of course, our house is equipped with lounge chairs and outdoor furniture, as well as an outdoor shower.

Additional Important Information
Calabria features mountains, rocky plateaus, beaches, and caves… so the landscape has significant variations in elevation. Buses and trains are available. However, we recommend planning your vacation with a car, motorcycle, or moped. Our house is also located on a rocky plateau about 100 meters above the beach. The beach is a 3- to 5-minute drive away. Due to the relatively steep path, we recommend that only physically fit guests walk or bike to the beach.
