OLD NAGS HEAD COTTAGE CHARM .... KORT GANG TIL STRANDEN

Placeret på MP 6 3/4, er Parrot's Abch "mellem motorveje" dette SAT-SAT sommerhus er fantastisk til et par, lille familie eller grupper, der ønsker at holde yderligere familie og venner i nærheden. Vores hjem er, selv om det er traditionen for Old Nags Head-stil, totalrenoveret og ajourført. Denne ejendom er frisk, ren og moderne på indersiden ... og ud ligger Parrot's Aborre på en stille dam. Det er et godt sted at sidde og slappe af på dækket for at se gæs, ænder og skildpadder.

Køkkenet er fuldt udstyret, helt ned til masser af kaffekrus og vinglas. Der fås også strygejern / -bræt, hårtørrer og håndklæder leveres uden beregning, basale faciliteter såsom sæbe, papirprodukter og papirkurver, der leveres ved ankomsten. Medbring dine egne lagner.

Komfortable siddepladser i opholdsstue for en familie på 6 personer.

Dækket med udsigt over dammen er et godt sted at få en solbrun midt på dagen og til madlavning om aftenen. Nyd verandaen til kaffe og morgenmad om morgenen og er et godt sted at sidde og chatte om aftenen. Vi leverer en grill- og tøjline til vores gæstes bekvemmelighed.

Huset ligger i stueplan, så det har nem adgang for dem, der har behov for færre trin.

Restauranter, shopping og biografer er inden for gåafstand. Det er hurtig kørsel til det historiske Wright Brothers Memorial, golf, putt-putt, lydadgang til vandsport, Avalon Pier, Dare County Parks & Rec til basketballbaner, tennis og legeplads. KFUM for en ekstra gebyr, tilbyder et ugentligt medlemskab på deres faciliteter, herunder en udendørs pool og mere (kontakt Y for yderligere oplysninger).

I loved this property and the little things that set it aside from other rentals. The decor is beautiful. The feeling and vibe of the front porch and back deck puts you in vacation mode. This property is well maintained and it shows. The pond and turtles are a superb bonus!!! Close to many restaurants and grocery stores.

Wonderful, Parrot Perch!

Our family loved staying at Parrot Perch for our summer vacation this year! The house is adorable, clean, and has all the beachy vibes, just amazing! Feeding the turtles and wildlife were a highlight of the trip! Our dog loved the yard so much! Thank you, we can’t wait to come stay again!

Short Stay

going in we knew that we couldn’t stay the whole week. However Parrots Perch made the days we had a wonderful experience. The cottage is decorated beautifully and was very comfortable. But is was the deck over the pond and the turtles and other wildlife that made our stay truly spectacular. We ate all of our meals at the cottage on the deck and leftovers and extra bread went to the permanent residents.

Perfect vacation spot

We had a blast during our stay. The house was very accommodating for pets. I loved the gates on the porches, worked out well for our husky. Seeing all the wildlife in the morning was a huge plus. Location was awesome, close to the beach and across from the grocery store! We will be planning another stay there in the future.

We LOVE this property!!!

This was our second time staying at the Parrot's Perch and we will definitely be back! It's a beautiful home and has everything we need for a lovely week at the beach! It's clean, cozy, and well-stocked. Our border collie loves the yard - it's perfect for throwing frisbee, our kids love the turtles and birdwatching, and my husband and I love the deck and swing, which are perfect for morning coffee and relaxing. We got to meet Debby, the property owner, this trip and she was such a delight! Our family feels so at home here and we just can't recommend it highly enough! From our perspective - it's the most perfect place in the OBX! We love it so much!

Another great stay

This was our fourth time staying at Parrot’s Perch. We just love the little cottage. Has all you need. We ate every meal outside on the deck. Grilled several nights and my little dog loved the backyard and the family of ducks that visited on the water often. The new furniture arrangement in the living room is much better and we watched the Olympics every night. Over the years we’ve seen the addition of the swing and the picnic table. Can’t wait to see what’s in store next. Thank you!

Family Vacation

This is the third time that our family of four has stayed at Parrot’s Perch and it has never disappointed! The house is wonderful and cozy and the kids always look forward to seeing the turtles. The perfect vacation place

This house is beyond cute and so lovely. The host is so very generous with amenities, there is coffee and other cooking supplies. I am amazed at the cleanliness and overall decor, it’s so cozy. The fenced in backyard is perfect for dogs or kids (and adults too). The grass is so well kept you can walk around barefoot. There are lovely flowers all around the property. It’s close to the beach and just about anything else you may need, including restaurants and ice cream. This is the second year we have stayed here and we hope to book it again next year. I highly recommend this lovely house.

Wonderful Family Getaway

My family really enjoyed our time here! The inside is cozy, and had everything we needed for a family of four (with two younger kids) to feel comfortable. Outside, we really enjoyed sitting on the patio to enjoy the pond and cool sea breeze. The turtles were a lot of fun, and after spending each day at the beach the outside shower was indispensable. Overall, it was a great place for our first OBX vacation.

Better Than Expected...

We honestly have nothing bad to say about Parrots Perch. From the moment we walked in we did not want to leave. The cottage is so warm and welcoming. Tastefully decorated and well stocked with items you may have forgot. Very short walk to the beach and so convenient to stores and restaurants. The real allure is the turtles and other wildlife. As soon as someone walks out on the deck the turtles come swimming, looking for food. The outdoor space is as pleasing as the inside. Our Dachshund absolutely had a blast. Pretty sure he had the best vacation ever. Truly a slice of paradise. So blessed to have had the opportunity to spend a week at this gem. Thanks for sharing!!!

A little slice of heave

We absolutely loved our stay. The place was very clean and well stocked with anything you might need. We brought our dogs and the place is very dog friendly with the fenced in backyard and the gates in the deck. The grass in the backyard is plush and nice. We enjoyed the turtles coming up to the deck every time we came outside. The house is close to the beach and most everything else too. I would highly recommend staying here and we hope to stay here again!

Family fun at the Parrot’s Perch

From the moment we stepped into the house, we were relaxed and ready for our vacation. The house was sparkling clean and tastefully decorated, with much care given to special details that gave us an immediate beach vibe. Our family loved feeding the turtles and enjoyed relaxing on the front porch and back deck. We looked forward to unwinding at the house after a day at the beach, which was a short walk away. Our dog loved running around the spacious and fenced backyard. The house was centrally located to restaurants, grocery stores, and the beach. We will definitely stay here again when we return to OBX.

Delightful cottage

We loved our stay! The home is much bigger than it appears from the outside and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The added bonus of the outdoor porch and swing and feeding the turtles was a delight. Took about 5 minutes to walk to the beach. It felt like being at home instead of a staged vacation home and that's exactly what we love. Only negative was not having beach chairs available - we ended up buying one. But overall, it was wonderful and we would love to return!

Ideal rental!

This was the most perfect rental for our family! We enjoyed watching and feeding the turtles in the backyard pond from the GORGEOUS deck every morning. The yard was perfect for our dog to run and play and catch frisbee while we relaxed on the swing with afternoon drinks and watched the wildlife. The house was clean, comfortable, well-stocked, and beautifully decorated. We had everything we needed and communication with the host was perfect! The location is right next to our favorite beach access and an easy walk to the Jolly Roger for breakfast! We loved this house so much we hope we never have to stay anywhere else when visiting our favorite place in the world! Thank you for an amazing week!

Nice little cottage setting over a pond full of turtles, close to beach access!

The family loved the house, the deck on the side of the house setting over a pond completely full of aquatic turtles, and the outside shower was very nice. Great location just over 1 block from the 3rd St. beach access. Only problem of the trip was being blind sided by our 3rd St beach access being shut down for 3 days of our trip because of the beach nourishment. The beach was off limits from Avalon pier down past 1st St. (Sections of the beach veried daily). The main reason for getting this house was being close to a beach access and not having to drive/fight all of the traffic!! The drive to the public parking access was very inconvenient, to say the least!! All in all we had a great time and the house was nice!!

Lovely and dog heaven

Not obvious, but the location on an estuary, with a coveted deck over the water, was delightful. Sea turtles, and wide range of coastal birds offered a constant demonstration of the costal marsh ecosystem . Our small dogs loved the beautiful, well kept yard. A great stay, recommended to all, but especially anyone traveling with a furry companion. Everything was easy, and in good order, as a vacation should be. Thanks! P.S. you bring your own sheets, and some highway noise, but neither an issue for us.

Great experience. Absolutely loved the place

This is the perfect place to take your family on a vacation. Just want to compliment the cleanliness of the property. I enjoyed all the decorations. The front porch has a nice air conditioning & a swing. Kids loved to read books swinging. So many small little details in a house.. Also outside back porch is wonderful. My kids loved to feed the turtles & watch the birds. Outside shower is very convenient coming after the beach & being covered in sand. Kitchen has everything that you need for cooking. Everything was in working condition. Also you are planning to bring a dog there is a really nice fenced in are. Only downside is that house is close to the main road. U can hear traffic at night. We are from country. I couldn’t sleep well for the first night. Also make sure u bring a spray for the mosquitoes. They are big & angry at night. Be prepared to walk to the beach. There is no good sidewalk. Cars passing by made me nervous walking with the kids. Overall really nice experience. Thank you for hospitality!

Delightful!

This home is all that was advertised and more! Perfect beach vibe. We felt like we were on vacation from the moment we walked in the door. Terrific decor, perfect size for us and cozy! My only concern in booking this home was the fact that there is a pond in the back and I was worried about mosquitos! Didn't see one! Plus, feeding the turtles was so fun! We will be back!

We are Mike and Debbie both from Smithfield, VA and have vacationed and enjoyed the Outer Banks for many years.
So after renting 'Parrots Perch' when it came up for sale we knew we wanted it to become our second home.

Derfor valgte værten dette overnatningssted

Its location and single story 'Old Nags Head' cottage style fits our needs perfectly. The grass with NO sand cactus in the large back yard for pets and children was an added plus!! The deck off the kitchen allows quiet reflections while watching the area wild life enjoying the neighboring pond.
