Waterfront Getaway, Beautiful Hood Canal

Vores familie Beach House ligger på den vestlige bred af Hood Canal. De omkringliggende farvande Hood Canal forlade alle dem, der vover her, hypnotiseret med fabelagtig erindringer om disse besøg. Olympic-halvøen er stedet at nyde vandreture, cykelture, fugleture og spadseretur strandene bare for at nævne et par stykker. Huset indeholder fuldt udstyret; køkkener fyldt med kokke værktøjer, kaffekande og mikroovn. Sengetøj og håndklæder er forudsat. Vi ansætter lokale Professionelle Rengøring at rense alle vores boliger til standarderne for et førsteklasses hotel, og pr staten retningslinjer. Vores rengøringsassistenter stolte i deres arbejde for at sikre dit ophold vil slå dine forventninger. Vores Feriehus er en nem pendler fra Seattle, to timer efter Bainbridge færgen eller omkring en time fra Kingston færgen. Vi byder dig velkommen til at blive og håber, at vi kan dele den værdi, vi har oplevet her i mange år.

Der er to offentlige båd lancerer i nærheden af, Både Pleasent Harbor Marina (3 miles nord og bedre af de to) og Triton Cove (10 miles syd) er gratis og drives af Washington State Parks og kan findes online.

Perfect Stay

Lovely property right on lake with amazing views and great facilities. Comfortable beds and kids loved finding little crabs on the beach. It was the perfect family holiday or us.

Beautiful place, excellent host

The pictures don’t do this place justice…it’s beautiful, clean and very relaxing. If you have over 4 or so people, bring extra towels, TP and paper towels. They do provide of course, but bring extra. This place is probably one the best places we’ve been. The host was more than accommodating and very nice. Definitely recommend!!

Nice clean getaway reasonably priced

Quite, clean place that allowed us close access to Pleasant Harbor Marina. Off the main street and Highway which added to seclusion. Will come back.

Amazing all around

Peaceful, relaxing, amazing views, great host, wonderful amenities (games, books, telescopes). The floor to ceiling windows onto the Hood canal were the highlight of our stay. Amazing.

Great getaway

Beautiful location! Loved being right on the water. Felt like we were at a grandparents lake house. The house is nicely stocked, we had all we needed to cook most of our meals at the house. Plenty of firewood stocked near the indoor fireplace and outdoor fire ring down by the water made it super nice to have fires. The loft bedroom upstairs has a beautiful view! The games need an update. Jigsaw puzzle had a note saying pieces are missing. We would definitely stay again!

Relaxing and Rejuvenating

We stayed for a weekend, looking to "get away" from Seattle. In 2 hours time, we had escaped The City and arrived in the wonderful world of of this Hood Canal Beach House. Our weekend consisted of great nights' sleep, time on the beach, and lots of laughs around the fire-pit. We decided to not go out and ended up having a "Happy Hour" on the deck (it was sunny and warm!) with oysters that we collected during a low-tide beach stroll. In all, this is the perfect house to escape to. It's comfortable and cozy (in the best, least-claustrophobic way), literally RIGHT on the water, and has everything you need for a wonderful "home away from home." I can't wait to return!

Beautiful Views, Inaccurate Listing

I would like to start with the positives, and then offer a couple clarifications here so others do not have the same feeling of bamboozlement I felt when arriving at this property. First off, the location is gorgeous, with high tide lapping right up against the back porch. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful and the views from the living room are amazing. The property owner is responsive and helpful via text or email. The major drawback to this house was that the listing is inaccurate. It is NOT a 3 bedroom house and the way it is listed made it past all of my filters. When I travel and book a home I search for at least 3 bedrooms so that everyone has private space and room to spread out, which we don’t have at home. I look forward to quiet mornings in the living room with a cup of coffee while the kids are still sleeping. Unfortunately the house is actually a ONE bedroom with a loft overlooking the living room counted as a second bedroom (I will give them that one) and the LIVING ROOM counted as the third bedroom (with a sofa bed). I looked back at the listing to see what I could have missed, as the property should not have made it through my very detailed planning. The listing says 3 bedrooms with 3 beds and that is absolutely NOT the case. Since the pictures are mostly of outside, it is not shown.

In addition, thank you for your feedback as it brought to our attention l a disconnect between our view of the listing via the "owners portal" and what is seen in the "public listing." On the water with beautiful views

It was our first weekend getaway in over a year and I was excited to have found a place that was originally stated to be on the water and to have a hot tub. After the owner confirmed no hot tub, he offered us a cancelation but I thought it was still a great home so did not cancel. I also then received a note that they hadn't gotten over to turn off the camera and we would just need to unplug it. No problem, but then we found a second camera that hadn't been mentioned. Also, to note, do not expect a close location for getting food as we arrived late enough that we only found a bait shop still open. That night we also discovered no hot water. We waited until a reasonable hour on Saturday and called, and once again, excellent communication, but was told to go to the circuit box and turn it on and wait for the hot water tank to heat. Then to note we were told that it's a small hot water tank and that you are expected to take short/quick showers. OK. The home is very comfortable and nicely seaside/fishing themed decorated. There seems to be quite a number of rules listed in their book, but understand, but one note that stood out was trash is $6 per bag. As previous Hosts ourselves, all these rules, costs, inconveniences remind me why my friends always prefer booking a hotel. I would never leave a hotel room trashed, and respect wherever I am staying. I believe that this is indeed someones beautiful second home and it might just not be one to share with others.

Hi Paul, Thank you for your review. Excellent communication has been critical to our success over the past decade that we've been renting our beach house. Our second camera had not been working prior to your stay but wanted to maintain the security presence that an obvious outward-pointing camera provides. The local options to eat include The Galley Pub, Halfway House Restaurant, and Geoduck Tavern are on seasonal hours, their hours are better between Memorial Day and Labor Day. I wanted to apologize again regarding our hot water tank not being turned on; we have reinforced this to our cleaning crew for the balance of the season. Once again, thank you for your feedback. We are always eager to hear suggestions on how we can do better and help make Brinnon/our rental special for others.

The cabin is an excellent location if you are looking to enjoy the Pacific Northwest away from the big city! Close to numerous hiking trails and the view of Hood Canal is unbelievable. We are a family of three and the cabin was perfect for our needs. Would definitely recommend!

beautiful views!

This cottage is a modest family cottage with million dollar views. The trees are fantastic and help keep the cottage comfortable on warm summer days. The kitchen is very well equipped with pots, pans, dishes, etc. While it would be nice if there was a window that opened on the water side, we stayed comfortable for our entire 9 day stay. The location is perfect for us as we were visiting family on the same street, but it's a short drive to many wonderful hiking areas. We even had a day trip to Hurricane Ridge! The neighbors are close but very quiet. We had a great stay! Thank you for sharing your home.

Kids loved low-tide!

We didn't spend much time at house as we were shuffling between North Cascades, Olympic, and Sequim but all of us were thrilled to return! Low tide was our children's favorite. They would see something and then at night would research online what they saw.

BEST TIME

We loved this house. The three kids slept up in the loft. Adults had the bedroom downstairs the kitchen was great, decks great, lots of chairs for outdoors. Saw; Eagles, otters, seals, kingfishers and ORCAS! We brought paddleboard and kayak. Great swimming. Very well loved house. We felt at home like it was a family cabin. Lots of personality. The owner was great and we were delighted to be there.

Spectacular & Panoramic Views from the Hood Canal Beach House will totally whisk you away from the daily grind. The floor to ceiling windows brings the outdoors in and the nautical ambiance will have you craving to explore our public beaches or kayak along our two rivers.

We do have a mooring buoy in the bay in front of the house. It is labeled with a big 'A'. Since we are located on the Duckabush River delta your boat may not be accessible at tides under 3.0'. Please be mindful of the tides. Do not try to access your boat when moored at the buoy by walking out to it, you will get stuck in the mud.
