Romantic Chalet Villa, Quinta Boa Vida

Located on the Silver Coast, a 15-minute drive from the famous white-sand surfing beach “Nazare” and surrounded by beautiful scenery and must-see attractions, Quinta Boa Vida is a picturesque countryside property featuring five small, independent villas, just about a 3- to 5-minute drive from the town of Alcobaça. After passing through the green iron gate, leave your car in the free parking area and follow the granite cobblestone path to the traditional Portuguese-style stone villas to enjoy the gardens, pool, BBQ area, and more.
The Space
Nestled in the hills of Alcobaça, our picturesque 1.7-hectare property is a beautifully renovated farmhouse perched on a characteristic hillside with 360° views of the surrounding vineyards and nature. It features its own creek, a few rows of vineyards, an apple orchard, olive and fruit trees of all kinds, mountain views, and a small forest—all of which give you the impression of being in a remote countryside, even though most essentials and city amenities are just minutes away.

The 37-square-meter ROMANTIC CHALET is a small, standalone house and very cozy.
It features a fully equipped kitchen, complete with a refrigerator, stove, oven, dishwasher, toaster, and coffee maker, and provides all the utensils, plates, mugs, and glasses you’ll need for any occasion, as well as everything necessary to enjoy a meal with your loved one.

The bathroom is surprisingly spacious and very comfortable. It features a large shower with excellent water pressure and a sliding door to maximize space.

The bedroom has a queen-size bed (160 cm x 200 cm) and a freestanding closet. The bed features comfortable mattresses for a perfect night’s sleep. If you look out the window, you’ll see beautiful trees, vineyards, and the sunset in the evening. It also has a sliding door to maximize the space.

The living room area has a TV and a comfortable couch—perfect for snuggling up with your loved one—and offers Wi-Fi and cable TV. The patio in front of the villa is perfect for enjoying a meal outdoors or simply relaxing in the garden.
The villa has air conditioning that can cool or heat as needed. We provide bed linens and bath towels for our guests (guests are asked to bring their own beach towels for the pool).

The Quinta itself offers a wonderful blend of comfort and relaxation, with breathtaking views of the surrounding area. Our pool area is located on the highest part of the property, set apart from the villas to ensure privacy. It features an outdoor shower, a wooden gazebo with a large circular table, and a grassy clearing shaded by an ancient cork tree right next to it, where you can relax in the hammocks.

We also offer a communal BBQ area with a one-meter-long grill space that will satisfy even the most discerning grill expert in any group. There’s also a traditional wood-fired pizza/bread oven and running water/sink so that you and your loved ones can prepare an outdoor meal fit for any food lover.

On the lower part of the property, there is an open field with a small creek bed, made up of stones placed hundreds of years ago, through which water flows during the winter months. Next to it, you’ll find a walnut tree that is well over a century and a half old—the perfect spot to read a book or enjoy a glass of wine. If you’re in the mood for a nice evening walk or a quiet picnic, please enjoy our private mini-forest, complete with a short loop trail and a stone picnic table along the way.

Guests have access to everything within their private accommodations, as well as the shared amenities such as the pool and BBQ areas, etc.

Help us conserve resources: Please turn off the air conditioning and lights when you leave the villas to go sightseeing.

No parties or events: Parties, gatherings, and functions of any kind are strictly prohibited on the property.

Smoking: Smoking is prohibited inside the home and on the property.

Unregistered guests: Under no circumstances will visitors be allowed to stay overnight.

Checkout: Checkout is at 11 a.m. Late checkout may be accommodated if agreed upon with the host at the time of reservation.

Trash: All trash must be disposed of in the designated bins and should never be left around the property.

Noise: Guests and visitors must keep noise to a minimum so as not to disturb other guests at the property, especially during nighttime hours (e.g., 11 p.m. – 8 a.m.) and upon arrival and departure.

Parking: You may park one vehicle in the designated parking area on the property. For additional vehicles, please contact us prior to check-in.

Illegal activities: All illegal activities, including but not limited to the use of illegal substances, are strictly prohibited.

Lost key fees: Keys must remain in the primary guest’s possession at all times during the stay. The keys should never be duplicated or left out of the primary guest’s care.

Maintenance: Please notify the host if anything breaks or isn’t working properly, and we will do our best to resolve the issue during your stay.

Fire prevention: Do not smoke or use candles indoors, and be sure to turn off the stove when it is not in use to prevent fires. Barbecues are only permitted in the designated barbecue area.

Appliances and electronics: Guests are permitted to use the TV throughout their entire stay. Guests are not allowed to purchase, download, or rent any subscriptions or entertainment using the appliances.

Swimming Pool Policy

📌 There is no lifeguard on duty at the pool; all children and anyone who cannot swim must be supervised.
📌NO GLASSES, BREAKABLE OBJECTS, or GLASS BOTTLES are allowed inside or next to the swimming pool.
📌 Appropriate swimwear must be worn at all times.
📌 Noise and music are strictly prohibited.
📌 The swimming pool is exclusively for guests with reservations.
📌 The pool will be closed from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
📌 The use of infant personal flotation devices or arm floats is encouraged.
📌 Running along the edge of the pool and diving into the pool are strictly prohibited.
📌 Persons under the influence of alcohol will not be permitted to use the pool.
📌 For hygiene reasons, all guests are requested to shower before using the swimming pool facilities.
📌 Guests swim at their own risk, and the Quinta will not be held responsible for any injuries sustained while using the Quinta facilities.
