Hus Bockara – Traditional Holiday Home in Småland

Welcome to Hus Bockara, a traditional holiday home in Småland, peacefully located between Högsby and Oskarshamn. Surrounded by forests, fields and the typical Småland countryside, this more than 100-year-old wooden house is ideal for guests who want to spend their holiday in Sweden in a peaceful, nature-oriented and authentic setting.

The holiday home offers approximately 85 m² of living space and accommodates up to 5 guests. It is particularly suitable for families, couples or smaller groups.

There are 2 separate bedrooms. The first bedroom has a double bed measuring 180 × 200 cm. The second bedroom also has a double bed measuring 180 × 200 cm as well as an additional single bed measuring 90 × 200 cm.

The cosy living area is a pleasant place to relax after a day in nature. Especially on cooler evenings, the wood-burning stove creates a warm atmosphere and an authentic Swedish holiday-home feeling.

For entertainment, there are 2 televisions with German channels, a DVD/CD player and various games. Wi-Fi is not available in the house – instead, the focus here is on peace, nature and spending time together.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and includes a dishwasher, cooker, oven and refrigerator.

The bathroom is equipped with a shower.

Outside, you can enjoy the peaceful surroundings as well. Hus Bockara has a spacious garden with seating, a barbecue and a fire pit. Here you can enjoy meals outdoors, spend a relaxed evening by the barbecue or end the day around the fire.

4 bicycles are also available for exploring the surrounding area.

A special extra is the nearby swimming lake. On warm summer days, you can swim here and spend relaxing hours by the water. A rowing boat is also available at the lake, allowing you to discover the surroundings from the water.

The landscape around Hus Bockara is characterised by forests, fields and numerous lakes and is ideal for walking, cycling and excursions through Småland.

The house is also conveniently located for day trips. The historic city of Kalmar, with its famous castle, old town and proximity to the Baltic Sea, is within easy reach.

For families, a trip to Vimmerby and Astrid Lindgren’s World is also worthwhile. There, the stories of Pippi Longstocking, Emil of Lönneberga and many other well-known characters come to life.

There are also interesting excursion destinations around Virserum and many opportunities to discover the nature of Småland.

If you would like to spend a day by the Baltic Sea, you can also reach the coastal region around Oskarshamn with its harbours, swimming areas and typical archipelago landscape.
