Fantastic vacation spot! Everything we were looking for and more. Very reasonable pricing. Good communication with host. We all had a great time and are already looking forward to next years stay.

We had an awesome stay and My two sons including myself all got master angler Bass!! Great hosts, very tranquil if you just need to get away from the hustle of life

A quiet and beautiful retreat from the day to day. You are removed from the hustle and bustle of life. We came for some fishing and bonding time and were not disappointed. It took me back to my younger days when get aways and camping trips were simpler. Great hosts and hospitality.

The lake and cabin were lovely in many ways but not so in other ways. We had no water off and on for two days, There was no a/c which we knew but it got to be 35.5 in the cabin and we only had two small fans to help with the heat. The owner knew this but did nothing to help. Two of the people staying were over 70 and it was difficult to sleep. The most disturbing thing that happened was on day 4 we found mouse droppings in the toaster that we had used. Then we looked further and found them in the cutlery tray, bowls on the top of the fridge on the counter and my daughter found them between the mattresses in her bedroom. We later found a mouse trap in the kitchen. The owner came and vacuumed and left. We were left to wash all the dishes and cutlery, counters, drawers. Everywhere we thought they might have peed or pooped on. My daughter had an anxiety attack about it! On the very hot days there was a strong smell of feces in the entrance way and kitchen from the septic tank. It was disgusting. We complained and the owner said he had tried to fix it but that’s just what happens when you have a cabin on an island. That was it. No other help given. Day five the owner said they were leaving the island for a few days and left a small aluminium boat for us to take All our baggage and food plus four people back to the drop off point! We were told earlier that a pontoon boat would take us back. There was no one left on the island to help us if we needed anything. Not a great time.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the lake and cabin, and sorry some issues affected your stay. Our cabin is on a remote island, where occasional challenges can occur despite regular maintenance. When concerns were raised, we responded - restoring water, addressing the mouse issue, and investigating the odor. The listing notes there is no air conditioning; we provide fans, both the main bedroom and bathroom have ceiling fans and many guests enjoy the lake breeze, and cooling off in the water (the best way yo beat the heat) We continually maintain and improve the property, and guest feedback helps us do so. Our goal is always to respond promptly and resolve issues as quickly as possible. We are committed to quick responses and helping ensure an enjoyable island stay. Multiple families return each year for the peaceful setting, great fishing, and unique island experience.

Our family has had been blessed with growing up at the lake. It's been such a natural inspiration for us, that we believe it's worth sharing the location with others. We love seeing the expression on guest's faces when they arrive for the 1st time and also - after they've spent a few days on our island.

It's a peaceful, natural paradise. Being close to the water, tucked just into the woods - the perfect place to get away from the city, relax, refresh and escape into nature's paradise. The air is cleaner, food is tastier and the sleeps are deeper.

It's an island cabin, but only 5 mins from mainland. We have the convenience of proximity, however exclusive privacy for our guests.
