Our “Hus op’n Diek” is located in the heart of the beautiful Altes Land, the largest contiguous fruit-growing region in Northern Europe. The picturesque location on the dike, right on the banks of the Lühe River, offers the perfect conditions for a relaxing vacation close to nature. The house, a former blacksmith’s shop, was completely renovated according to the latest energy-efficiency standards, expanded with a new addition, and completed in the summer of 2025.
Welcome to one of our 3 comfortably furnished vacation apartments of various sizes. Each vacation apartment is equipped with everything you need for a relaxing vacation, has a separate entrance and its own terrace overlooking the Lühe, while the large lawn is available for shared use. Enjoy the view of the Lühe from inside or from your terrace, and be fascinated by how the river’s current changes direction with the tides. Watch the birds, fish, or passing boats and kayakers on the water. It’s also perfect for anglers, who can comfortably pursue their hobby after purchasing a guest fishing permit. Canoeing or stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) is also well-suited here, provided you take the tides into account.
