If you’re looking for peace and relaxation near the Schlei, you’ve come to the right place: Welcome to the tranquil village of Scheggerott, nestled in the countryside between Süderbrarup and Kappeln! The stylishly furnished house features a park-like garden—where deer occasionally wander by, squirrels are often spotted, and birds chirp merrily—as well as a pond and lovely terraces with beach chairs, offering the perfect spot to relax and enjoy beautiful views of nature.
The house is the front half of a large two-family home: The large bedroom under the roof features two single beds that can be pushed together. A lovely bathroom with a toilet and bidet is also located on the upper floor. On the first floor, there is another private bedroom with its own bathroom (shower) and a separate toilet. There is ample space here for three people or two people who each wish to use a separate sleeping area. The house features a large living room with a TV and a lovely sunroom (with an exercise bike) overlooking the beautiful garden. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, a washing machine, and a dryer. The open kitchen with a bar and bar stools for a casual breakfast is a lovely spot for people who enjoy cooking.
At the back of the house is a converted stable that can also be rented (for two to three guests). The garden is spacious enough that the two groups can keep to themselves or, if they get along, share the space. There are two beach chairs and plenty of garden chairs and furniture. Thanks to the furnishings and the beautiful surroundings, the atmosphere makes this the perfect place for a very special summer.
One parking space—possibly two, upon request—is available.
We recommend traveling by car, as public transportation in this quiet, rural area is not well developed ( NAH.SH-App provides more detailed information).
Attractive destinations are within easy driving distance: The Schlei and the Baltic Sea are not far away. Interesting places to visit include Kappeln, with its narrow alleys and harbor where you can buy fresh fish (9 km, less than 15 minutes); the picturesque town of Arnis on the Schlei, Germany’s smallest town with charming cafés (11 km, 15 minutes), the Viking town of Schleswig with the Gottorf Castle Museum or the Viking settlement of Haithabu (approx. 26 km, just under 30 minutes), or Glücksburg on the Flensburg Fjord with its historic moated castle.
In the village of Scheggerott, the legendary corner store “Pfefferkorn”—Germany’s smallest EDEKA—ensures that groceries, fresh rolls, and everyday necessities can be purchased within walking distance.
There are hiking and biking trails in the surrounding area.
Free Wi-Fi is available.
Pets, smoking, and events are not permitted. Please treat the beautiful, delicate furnishings with care.
