Cozy Lake Almanor Getaway

Vores rummelige kabine er beliggende i en lille, malerisk område i Prattville direkte overfor søen. Det er en perfekt enkelt eller multi-familie hytte, der kan sove op 11 gæster komfortabelt. Kabinen er gåafstand til søen, lystbådehavnen, Carols Café, Camp Prattville, og en fælles strand til en eftermiddag sjov i solen med børnene. Den største sal har et fuldt lager og operationel køkken, spisestue, stue, 2 badeværelser, soveværelse og vaskerum. Ovenpå er der 1 soveværelse med en kingsize-seng, et kollegieværelse med en konge seng og to enkeltsenge, og en bonus værelse med en over-størrelse sofa, fladskærms-tv og to madrasser, der bliver til dobbeltsenge. Der er også et badeværelse ovenpå. Den bedste del er den enorme dæk ud i køkkenet er udstyret med havemøbler og grill. Medbring en blow-up seng og sove på dækket under stjernerne! Der er en million af dem! WIFI og parabol-tv er inkluderet

Very easy to work with, great location! The property could use a good cleaning, the smell is a little much, I’d think new carpet or a professional cleaning it would be better. Location and deck are amazing!

The cabin was super cute and massive! We loved the funky layout and there was plenty of room for our large group (and plenty of parking). The views were gorgeous and we ate every meal out on the deck enjoying the perfect weather! We loved that it was only a 5 minute walk to the beach and a 15 minute walk to Plumas Pines. The kitchen was really well stocked, the only thing it didn’t have that we needed was a coffee grinder but the food processor did a well enough job. The house unfortunately did have a strange odor though. The worst of the odor came from the master bathroom which is entirely carpeted, it smelled like mold/mildew, and something else really foul that we couldn’t really identify. This smell spread into the master bedroom and then into the rest of the main floor, we could keep it mostly at bay by keeping the windows open, the fans going, and the bathroom door shut but it’s pretty potent.

Very cozy and right across the street from Camp Wilson and Carol's cafe. The deck was incredible and so nice to sit on in the evenings. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and the Wi-Fi was great. I was able to take several video meetings throughout the week without an issue.

Relaxing lake house

We enjoyed our stay being close to the water and a nearby cafe. Great deck and lots of room to house our family and pups with total comfort!

Wonderful stay as always

This was our 3rd summer staying at this home away from home and it was the best yet! A big thanks to the owner for a few of the updates done to the cabin, including a new floor grate and extra beds upstairs. Excited for next year!

Fun times at the lake

The cabin is about 1/4 mile from the beach which we enjoyed daily. Carol's across the street was handy. No Ac but it was only warm in the late afternoon.We had fun with the family here.

Relaxation!!!

We really liked the property. It was located in a great spot only a mile from the boat, dock ramp . We were able to walk our old dog down to the beach. A very short distance from the home . She just love that and so did we it was gorgeous. The Husband caught many fish. Browns, rainbows, and even a Salmon!! Carol’s has the best fish and chips!

Perfect Location

This location was exactly what we wanted. The house was well set up for our family to stay for the week. It was nice to have laundry and a kitchen. There were plenty of beds for everyone to sleep and we enjoyed the porch. We could not get the oven to work, and we did put the trash out the night before it was supposed to be collected, which I would not do again. A bear went through the trash and we had to clean it up from up and down the street the next morning. There were rodents in the house and evidence of them in our bags that were downstairs. They didn't bother us in the kitchen, and didn't seem to get into our food.

Beautiful Experience

We spent almost a week in God's country. The house we rented was overall a bit big for two people. There were only two of us. But the way the house was built it worked for two and would have worked for twelve. The patio was wonderful. Gave a view of the lake and had sufficient shade to be able to enjoy it during the day. The house appears to be a comfortable home that the owner was traveling and asked you to take care of it for them. The area is all mountains and trees with a big beautiful lake. So far Los Angeles has not found Chester and Lake Almanor. No crowds, but all of the amenities you need for a terrific vacation. We loved the house and the area and look forward to returning to both soon. Peter and Sharon Stoterau

The home was older but not bad lots of room. The carpets were very dirty lots of pet stains did not like carpets in the bathrooms. Overall dusty and a lot of spider webs. The hot water heater quit working. Although the host called someone who did come out it was not fixed No showers the last two days. We came back from suntan lotion and sand and couldnt shower. The host said she had problems since May she sould had addressed it way before our stay.. we will probably not return to this property. Almost feel we deserve a small refund for our last two days for no hot water.

Smelly house

I have to say I will not stay here again due to the horrible smell!!! The back hallway and upstairs bedrooms were so awful we lit candles and sprayed scents thru out the house and opened windows to air out the carpet looked so bad we always kept our shoes on thick spider webs in several rooms including bathrooms dirty finger prints on bathroom doors can’t believe we were charged a cleaning fee the carpets at the very least should be cleaned !! In reality should be removed . I felt bad for my family sleeping upstairs with the horrible smell . If it wasn’t for that the house would be fine plenty of beds a nice deck and good location

Health and child safety issues

My expectations are not high. Clean and child safe are important for me. Cabin ratings of almost 5 🌟 from 15 people looked appealing and this property looked so cozy and appeared to meet our expections. Unfortunately this vacation was a nightmare. Previous ratings have to be from family and friends. Mouse poop in kitchen and living room along with some other issues were addressed the first morning. A handy man was to stop by (didn't happen). Owner says "the little buggers" are the norm. Kitchen needs a deep cleaning, everything in kitchen had to be washed prior to use. Used Kleenex (plural), cold medicine(child friendly issue), trash, dog leash etc. under beds.I. I sent pictures to Owner and she said she couldn't believe it(?). Master bedroom is not private, you need to walk into master bedroom to get to laundry room and upstairs bedrooms and bathroom. Sorry for the negative review, but the owner has taken my concerns very likely.

In my defense I did not take Mary's complaints lightly! I offered to send my handyman out to do the things she required(she said I didn't leave her enough wood)one she never called me back. As far as the cleaning I have talked to my housecleaners and have rectified the situation. I take great pride in my cabin and can not let this review go unanswered. I also gave her the choice of cancelling as soon as I found out that the new deck I'm having installed would not be finished by the time they checked in because of the weather. She said it was fine and then complained about it afterwards. I've apologized to her a few times and even offered to refund her back some of the stay but she never responded except for a horrible review! I have informed VRBO about her and gave her a bad review for not letting me do anything for her when she was calling me constantly about things and then not answering my requests to help her. I could not win!

propane tanks were empty, so had to pay for a propane exchange, which I left for the next guest. Garbage can was full so had to transport our garbage to a dumpster down the road that was suggested by a neighbor. Other than that, it is a nice home and great location! The home is clean and comfortable. I would recommend it to people with families as there is plenty of room.

Cool cozy cabin great location near the lake

Nice cabin big new deck in front of house sleeps eight people easy 2 full baths nice kitchen and dinning area the cabin does needs some floor heater vent repair there was a sign that said it was going to be repaired and to watch your step the owner Linda was very nice we texted each other and she was available for any questions cool cabin just like the pictures show lots of fun to be had

Family Time at Lake Almanor

We had a busy long weekend for family at the lake. I loved the charm and the history in this home. Also it was very nice to have a super equipped kitchen for family meals - enough plates! The deck is so nice for a meal or just to watch the world go by. Very quiet.

Lake Almanor fix

Had a lovely getaway week at this VRBO. Place was spacious and clean. Front deck was lovely. Linda was great to work with on some minor issues. Proximity to Carol’s Cafe was great. Overall gave us a much needed Lake Almanor “fix.” A real bonus to bring our dog along. So happy Prattville was saved from Dixie!

Great house, great location

Very clean large house, well equipped kitchen, great front porch. Very near our favorite beach and Plumas Pines Restaurant. Lots of sleeping arrangements in the spacious upstairs. Would definitely book again.

Great location, great home, and Linda is a great lady who is very responsive to your communications. We have stayed there many times over the years and it is the ONLY place I will stay when I go to Almanor.

The cabin is across the street from Carol's Café and down the street from Marvin Alexander beach and picnic area within walking distance. I even provide a wagon to haul the kids or the picnic basket to the beach! Such a great location....
