Great Place for the Price

Property manager was very accommodating with early check in and late checkout. The house was tidy and was perfect for our weekend trip!

All of our necessities were met, as we were there for a.wedding. The kitchen was well.equiped. The house does need some TLC and cleaning. Upstairs bed and pillows need replacing. Could use a good bug spray inside as I found spiders on the bed.

Close to all different kinds of activities.

Our place here was good. We were close to all different kind of activities whether it’s food, nature outings and adventures, or just simply to relax.

Birthday getaway

This was such a beautiful place to stay to celebrate my birthday and watch the kids play together. We had 3 family's of 4 and it did not feel crowded at all. It was close to everything we needed. The house had everything we needed to make our stay wonderful and memorable.

Great house 10 mins to Heavenly

We had a nice vacation skiing in Heavenly. The house suited well for 8 people. I like that both bathrooms are accessible from the common space and not attached to the master bedroom. There are a big table and a cozy fireplace upstairs. Minor things: there was no hairdryer (management promised to fix) - we used a fireplace fan; only one extra toilet paper roll for two bathrooms with started rolls inside (safeway is 7 mins drive).

Snowboarding weekend

We stayed in this house during the weekend (10 people). The house is beautiful and big. Enough space for everyone. The location is very convenient, ~10 mins driving to the California Lodge.

I enjoyed my Stay I would have rated 5 star but the heater was not functioning properly it was 18F• outside in the home was 59• the heater was not heating the home up properly. Overall I enjoyed it. The house was equipped with what we needed. But like i mentioned I wish it would have been comfortable warm we were freezing at night.

Our stay in your house was good. This is our second time. The only thing that wasn't very good was the hand soap in the bathrooms. it was old.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: here's a list of issues: 1. Kitchen - limited cooking items. No a ladle, no liquid dish soap, someone previously unplugged the fridge, so it took 12+ for the fridge to work so we had to use the freezer for our meat. Bathroom: nasty hair on the floor, plugged sink in the upstairs bathroom 2. Main concerns: dead rat smell in the downstairs bathroom, old stale furniture and beddings, old bath towels. all the twin beds were uncomfortable and so were the sofas 3. beer bottles next to the front porch I was on a vacation, but due to the various signs about what I should and should not do, that we should be quiet at all times, it really reminded me that this wasn't a vacation. I'm sorry, but for such an old house, there's way too many regulations. There was no air circulation for the upstairs so it was hot all weekend. We had to sit downstairs during the day.

Looked like a cute bachelor pad.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property has a great location about 15 mins. from the strip. The place was pretty clean and in a quiet neighborhood. The deck was large and spacious, but they should add more outdoor furniture so that it’s not just a large deck with nothing on it. The fridge barely stayed cold enough to keep our food in. We tried to open the fridge the most minimal amount of times possible. The furniture was like they picked everything up from a garage sale down the street and was in poor condition. Master bed was the only bed in the house that was comfortable to sleep on. I think my biggest complaint is that there were NOT enough fans provided for how hot the upstairs gets. You almost have to have all windows open at all times to not die of heat up there. Personally it reminded me of someone’s cute/old Bach pad. If you are looking for a place to just crash and not enjoy the amenities than this is the place for you! Also, this was not the original house we rented. I got stuck with this one a few months before my trip because the original house I rented was under construction and not ready in time...

Quiet neighborhood among the pines...peaceful!

To begin with, we enjoyed our stay in this home. It has no garage but we were able to do without. Bikes were locked to porch. Lots of parking in front. The picture on VRBO is the front of the property which shows long driveway w/lots of pines. The deck is in the front and since the house it set back to the end of the lot, there's peaceful view of pines in front. Didn't feel crowded felt was far away from neighbors to feel secluded and peaceful. Kitchen was well supplied w/necessities. Good amount of beds so everyone had a bed. Hot water comes out quickly. 2 TVs in home, one box style down stair w/lots of kid movies (DVD) and 1 HDTV upstairs. There were games available to play. House looks old and worn from outside but the inside was updated. My only complaint is that the living room furniture is really old and uncomfortable...really needs to be updated. Same goes for the patio furniture..the table was unstable and many of the chairs were not usable or safe....though they had enough metal folding chairs but those are not comfortable to relax. They need to dispose of broken chairs and junk that clutters the deck and provide a sturdy table w/comfortable chairs. The deck was our favorite location. I would also suggest a more secure front door lock, looks a little flimsy...possibly a deadlock. For added comfort, I recommend a screen door for door leading to deck from kitchen to prevent mosquitos and flies from entering home. All windows had screens which is a plus...open the windows and by evening you get a cool breeze so a hot day is no problem. Downstairs keeps cool all day. Bike riding from home to trail not recommended for young kids because you need to go down Black Bart which is a little steep and does not have enough of a bike lane for kids to feel safe...you would have to drive down the hill to the neighborhood below, park and take off on bike from there. If I didn't plan to bike ride from the home, I would rent again because it is in a nice location right between the Y and casinos. But you will need to drive to get to where ever you want to go...nothing within walking distance. Traveling on Pioneer Trail toward Stateline area will help you avoid the traffic on 50.

Not worth the price

It was not clean, the bed linens and bath towels were mildew smelling-I had to wash them before use. The beds were at least 20 years old, there were no mattress covers on them, you could feel the springs when lying on them. The blankets were soiled and dirty-I washed them as well. The pillows had no zippered covers on them. At least if you are not going to replace the mattresses foam toppers should be put on them. There was not enough toilet paper for 2 days/6people. The bear-proof trash receptacle was full so we were not able to deposit all of our trash in it upon check out. The carpet was dirty and didn't look to be vacuumed before our stay. There was debris and dead spiders in the washing machine agitator (the top was missing so things could crawl in), the walls were dusty and had spiders in the corners of the rooms. The upstairs bathtub was slow draining. The doorknob on the front door was loose, not secure. Since the inception of VRBO/Airbnb this was the worst VRBO we stayed at and for the price, was definitely not worth it.

Great Home but a few problems.

We had a great stay. However, when we walked in the entire house smelled like the soap provided to wash your hands. Also, there was cobwebs in most corners of the home. We cleaned some, but not all. We also had to rewash the dishes in the dishwasher machine because they were still dirty.
