Lovely home, great views

This rental home was exactly as described in previous reviews. Host was super nice and location was great. We hope to visit again.

Great stay

We had a wonderful stay. There was plenty of room for 9 of us. House is older but has be updated. Needs a few more improvements but nothing that affected our stay. There are a lot of stairs to get into the main living area. Also you have to go outside to get to the garage.

Family of 9 and 2 dogs

Spacious and plenty of room for everyone! Very clean! It is alot of stairs to walk up and down but it was a beautiful view to enjoy from upstairs patio! It overlooks the river where you can watch people fish, ducks, and even close enough to walk and put your feet in! The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet and very friendly. The drive to get to Silver Dollar City was tops 15 minutes from the time you pull out of the driveway…and scenic! We enjoyed our stay very much!

Brandon stay

It was a good stay. There are some things that need attention, curtains need changing in den, mattress needs replacing on all beds but king sized beds, could use a few more towels for large groups. Home was extremely clean and well stocked. Quiet neighborhood and felt safe there.

Great family gathering place

We chose this property for its proximity to dad/grandpa's place, and to his prior place that was just down the road on Foggy River Road. His passing brought family from 5 states together for his funeral. This house was very well kept and clean, stocked well with amenities, and the living room/dining room / kitchen became a gathering place for all to play cards, games, and share memories of dad/grandpa's 93 years on the earth. We couldn't have asked for a better location and home to be together. Thanks so much for allowing us to share your beautiful home.

Spacious and clean

This home is very spacious and clean. My family of eight people (grandma, adult kids, spouses, and a baby) and their dogs needed a lot of space to get ready for and lounge around in between Branson shows. Everyone said their bed was very comfortable. The home needs a little maintenance work and has a billion stairs to climb, but other than that, it was perfect for us. I would love to visit in the summer months and enjoy some lake time and the outdoor space.

Perfect View

The property has tons of room and great views. You're right on the water. Onky downside is that you have lots of steps to get into the house no matter what. Is only a problem when you're bringing your stuff in or out. Otherwise everything else was great!

Beautiful House & Great Location

Convenient location with main attractions less than 15 minutes away. Great local restaurants, and short drive to Branson Landings. Well equipped property on the water (it’s a river even though it is called a lake). Nice trout fishing, but if you are looking for other species, it’s a short drive to Table Rock Lake. Catch Rainbow and Brown Trout off the bank, walk up to the house, clean, grill, and eat them (it was so good). The water is clear, but don’t expect to swim here, the current can be strong (depending on the Hydro-electric Dam schedule), and the water was 50-55 degrees (in Mid-June) even in the 90 degree heat.

Great view. Comfortable and clean property. However, lower floor vacant, elevator not workiing so taking stuff up and down over steep stairs was problematic. Only entrance to locked property was thru the master suite, up a bunch of stairs. Building in need of updating. Floor from living to master suite sags. Nice amount of condiments and spices. Good supply of cups, plates, etc. Nice area with nice walking available, especially with the dogs.

Disappointed

There are many things wrong with this property structurally. Not only is there a bunch of steps to climb the steps are falling apart. Multiple bad spots in the floors. Water damage. Screened in porch screens are missing and tore up. Master bath drain did not work and faucet was falling off. We had little kids with us and had to watch them constantly due to missing spindles upstairs. This house is not kept up. The house was not clean either. We had to wipe the showers and tubs out ourselves. The outside fire pit area was nice and the location and neighborhood was nice. Would wtay here again if things were fixed.

Great space but needed maintenance

The property was great space for the group that we had. It appeared that no one had stayed at the property in a while. There were a lot of spiders. It made me a little nervous for the kids that we had traveling with us. We contacted the manager to inquire about the elevator but never received a call back. It was a lot of stairs for our elderly parent. There were some things in the home that I felt like could have been cleaner. Nothing that was a deal breaker. Would stay again if we had access to the elevator.

Great location, good space needs major repairs

Location is great and very pretty. House size was great for our group, access was less than ideal. Starting off we expected stairs so it was not a big deal but beware it’s a lot of stairs. Not ideal for older or less mobile people. The house was as advertised but in poor condition structurally. The floors are all sinking. The stairs in the house are all slanted. The slats on the upstairs landing were missing bars and ziptied together with furniture covering the gaps so nothing could fall below. The roof has obviously been leaking for sometime. There is black mold and rot in the main living area the foyer area and one of the upstairs bedroom. The upstairs stand alone bathroom toilet did not work. The top bunk on the bunk beds slats were broken and duct taped back together. Upon arrival there was an overwhelming smell of gasoline in the house. There was 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom for our 5 day stay. There were no additional trash bags in the home. All that being said we made due and enjoyed a family thanksgiving with minimal time inside. That is why I gave a decent rating. However I would not stay here again.

Dissatisfied

The house itself did not meet our expectations. Two of the bathroom doors did not latch/lock. Oven and outside grill were not clean. Dining room table leg not secure. Spindles are missing from upper living space(zip ties are being used instead) numerous carpet stains, many spiderwebs throughout the house. Jet bathtub had hair all over it. We cleaned the screened in porch to make it usable. Overall, the home did not feel clean. I messaged owner about the issues, no response. The house is in a nice area, and we enjoyed going for walks. Unfortunately, we would not return

Comfy beds and good location.

The beds were all above averages comfort. They had all the appliances, dishes, utensils, bowls, skillets and pans we needed plus some. The location just a few minutes from The Landing and about 20 minutes from Brandon’s main strip and the outlet malls. We caught about 18 trout during our stay, and all from the bank behind the house. We kayaked early in the mornings and was beautiful and calm. However we had to be off the water my mid day beach use about noon they would start releasing water from the dam and the current was too fast unless you had a decent motor on your boat. It may not be like this year round. We stayed in late July. With all of that being said I also want to mention the elevator from the garage to the 2nd and 3rd floor does not work. So you have a trip up the stairs to get into the house (no inside stairs). Also, all but one bedroom is on the third floor. So you don’t want this house if you have someone in your party that has trouble with stairs. My complaints are that there were water stains in a couple places and in a storm during our shay all of those water damage spots were active leaks, there were a couple spindles missing (including one on the third floor indoor balcony), and the internet would drop a couple times a day. If we reset the internet router it would reboot and come back up, but was annoying.

Thanksgiving retreat

We had 8-10 people staying at this house for 4 nights, as well as hosting Thanksgiving Dinner for 25, which included an additional 15 relatives from the Branson/Springfield area. We were very comfortable in this house. Gorgeous view. My husband about had a heart attack when we pulled up in front and saw the many, many stairs up to the front door. He had forgotten the house is complete with an elevator which transports you from the ground level in the huge garage, up to the 2nd story of the house where 3 of the bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are. While many utilized the stairs, inside and out, with bad knees, the elevator was the absolute PLUS in this house for me. While we didn't allow the kids to operate the elevator, they enjoyed an occasional supervised trip up or down. While not expected, a 2nd refrigerator in the garage would have definitely come in handy. We had an issue with just a trickle of water in the kitchen sink, but all I had to do is make Steve aware of it and he was there the next day working until he had it fixed. The washer and dryer got a little use and were much appreciated too. There were many dishes, pots and pans, but we missed having a beverage pitcher or two. If they were there, we didn't find them. Thanks to Steve for making this really nice home available for rental!! We really enjoyed the large deck and screened-in porch too! The house description provided was very accurate, and the property was pretty well-maintained and cleaned. I would return here. The location is good for shows, groceries, gas, etc.
