Denne lejlighed med 1 soveværelse ligger kun få kvarter fra restauranter, shopping og natteliv og er det perfekte tilflugtssted til enhver lejlighed. Beliggende i det historiske distrikt, få blokke fra Oxford Square, ligger den maleriske lejlighed på en halv mål stor grund. Du vil nyde al den sydlige charme, denne opdaterede og restaurerede 1950-værelses lejlighed med 1 soveværelse har at byde på.

Lejligheden deler en fælles køkkenvæg med hovedhuset. Lejligheden har en privat indgang og parkering udenfor gaden til to biler. Et stort dæk tilbyder et sted at grille ud og slappe af. Parkering fra gaden er en stor bonus på ballgame weekender.

Lejligheden er velindrettet med originale hvide egetrægulve, gamle fyrretrægulve i køkkenet, en ny pejs, LCD-tv, sovesofa i queensize-seng og et stort bagdæk, 12 'x 20', der tilbyder et fantastisk udendørs område til spisning. Bordet og stole på dækket har plads til 8. Lejligheden har en privat og separat indgang fra hovedhuset og parkering udenfor gaden til to biler. Det sover op til fire.

Our stay in Oxford

We absolutely loved this place and chatting with Lesley was a bonus. We wish we would have booked Oxford for longer, the entire area is lovely. Am following her Instagram for her coffee business. Am excited to see the progress of her new coffee shop, we know she'll do awesome. Highly recommend!!

Great place to stay in Oxford - great location

Perfect place to stay in Oxford. We went for a game and we were able to walk to the game as well as the Square. Hosts were very accommodating.

So cute and convenient

Two of us booked a stay for an Ole Miss football home game. It was perfect for the space, walkable convenience to downtown, etc. The property could not be cuter. And our hosts were so generous and gave great recommendations on places to eat, etc. Would love to come again and spend more time seeing Oxford

Cute little cottage, excellent location walk to square long walk to campus/game. Clean, comfortable bed, all you need for a nice weekend stay in Oxford.

Home away from home

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this property. It was comfortable, welcoming, safe, beautiful. The location is perfect, it was an easy walk to the square, just around the corner is the beautiful Rowan Oak property that I enjoyed walking so much (which the owner suggested to me, along with numerous other things which I also did) I am so grateful for her kindness and thoughtfulness she had for me (I was staying alone) and I can’t wait to get back and stay again (and again)

A perfect place in Oxford!

We were in town for a football weekend and my husband’s first experience in Oxford. The neighborhood is beautiful, and the walk to campus and the Square were easy (in good shoes, of course). Lesley thought of everything in the cottage, and it was very comfortable. Grab this listing if you can!

Coziest cottage

This was the perfect place for my family and me to stay when in Oxford. It is probably the coziest bedding we’ve ever seen in a VRBO location. To include the sleeper sofa that my two teenage daughters slept on. Lesley has added lots extras that show her attention to detail… and you can’t beat the location . Will definitely stay again when in town !

Convenient Cottage

This cottage is absolutely perfect for a weekend in Oxford. The neighborhood is beautiful and conveniently located to the square. The cottage was clean and well stocked with supplies. The owner was wonderful as a host. I definitely will stay here again!

Small but cute

Conveniently located walking distance from the square, campus and the football stadium. This place is attached to the owner's residence but we felt like we had very good privacy.

Oxford beautiful neighborhood

Beautiful neighborhood of older home with character. Love the cottage. Host was wonderful. Walking distance to The Square down a beautiful tree lined street. Would definitely stay again!

Amazing location with everything at your fingertips

Everything from the communication to cleanliness of the house, this cottage has all you need. Walkable to the square, Faulkner’s home, and ole miss campus it allows you to walk wherever you want to go. Leslie and her husband were extremely welcoming and took extreme pride in their home. Will definitely come back for all future trips to Oxford. Cannot recommend this place enough if your looking for a quiet place in the best town ever.

Great location

Cute, clean mini cottage within easy walking distance to the square and maybe even better…walking to Ole Miss through the pretty trail through Bailey Woods. We chose this cottage over staying at the Graduate Hotel and I’d hoped we made the right choice. Walking through the sweet wooded trail to campus was the No. 1 reason we chose this property, and I’m so glad we did. Why mess around with Ole Miss parking when you can just walk through the woods to get there? Loved it.

Cozy Side Street

PERFECT Cottage!

Absolutely everything about our stay at the Walkington Cottage was a dream. Our host Lesley, was in contact with the exact info we needed, always at the right time, and she made sure we felt welcome and comfortable from start to finish. The cottage is well appointed with thoughtful details throughout…..including the delicious, smooth Velvet Ditch coffee, freshly ground and awaiting our arrival……a wonderful way to start each day. We enjoyed our time in Oxford immensely, and the Walkington Cottage played a big role in that. We walked to The Square and to Ole Miss to watch their game against Auburn (Rebs won it!), and the walks were easy and pleasant. I could walk those beautiful Oxford streets every day, and never tire of them. There’s just a special kind of magic in Oxford. There really is. It was difficult to leave behind family, and say ‘goodbye’, and leaving the cottage, where some of our sweetest memories of this trip were made, was also bittersweet. We are thankful and appreciative to Lesley and her lovely ‘home away from home’ for everything. Until next time……Hotty Toddy!

Lovely

This is a really great property. The owner has everything set up so perfectly with attention to many details - the coffee, bathroom supplies, bedding, etc. it was very easy to access and the location is very convenient. Will definitely stay again. Only downside is renting it before others! It will be in high demand!

Lesley is a Mississippi native with roots in Oxford where her father was born. She also spent many years in Nashville and San Diego, but came back home to enjoy Ole Miss ballgames, sweet tea, pecan pies, and sitting on the front porch with her family.
Lesley is the owner and roaster of Velvet Ditch Coffee Roasters in Oxford, selling her Specialty single origin coffees at Oxford Creamery on the Square, Chicory Market and online at VelvetDitchCoffee.com where customers receive free shipping on orders over $45. She's committed to sourcing and roasting Specialty coffee profiles to elevate every coffee lovers experience. “Coffee is similar to wine, craft beer or spirits, where the enjoyment is in the nuanced flavor of the beans themselves,” Lesley said. "My goal is to create a memorable experience in the cup for coffee enthusiasts like myself. I believe every moment is more special with Velvet Ditch Coffee in your cup,” Lesley says.

Our location is very unique! Our craftsman-style bungalow is also unique to the area, built in 1939 (apartment added in 1950's) with lots of charm. We are on a quiet cul-de-sac. The house sits on half-an-acre in the heart of Oxford's Historic District. Guests can walk everywhere -- steps to Rowan Oak, about four blocks to the Square and walking distance from the Grove.

The Main House and Apartment are connected via two sets of locked adjoining doors, including a "solid core door", between the two properties. The apartment has a private entrance, a large back deck and private off-street parking which is a big bonus on ballgame weekends.
