HØJT PÅ HELTON - Lang front på Helton Creek-En af de bedste statslige ørredstrømme i det vestlige NC. Du kan ikke slå High On Helton! Du vil elske den fredelige, skovklædte omgivelse langs åen med ildsted ved vandet. Du har mange måder at nyde udendørs på! Denne 3 etagers bjælkehytte ligger på 10 dejlige skovklædte acres. Det giver adskillige muligheder for at nyde det naturlige skønhed i området, herunder muligheden for at se hjorte og vilde kalkuner. Kabinen har et omviklet dæk, der omfatter fronten, der er overdækket og stort sidedæk. Dækpladser, gårdhave sæt og gas grill. Nedre gårdhave tilbyder boblebad at slappe af med lyden af åen og stjerner om natten!

High on Helton tilbyder tre niveauer af boligareal. Stueetagen er varm og indbydende med et åbent køkken / stue / spisestue med katedral, synlige bjælkelofter. Køkkenet har køleskab med ismaskine. Komfortabel siddeplads, perfekt til at krølle op ved den varme pejs og se spillet eller din yndlingsfilm på fladskærms-satellit-tv med stereo surround sound. Gratis wifi. Soveværelset på det overordnede niveau har en queensize-seng og et 42 "Smart TV til streaming, og det fulde bad er adgang til fra soveværelset eller gangen.

Property is exactly as described. My husband loves to fly fish and he loves the location right on Helton Creek. We lost count of how many trout he caught. He wants to make this an annual trip!

Great stay!

Our family truly enjoyed our stay. Everything was exactly as described or better! We spent most of our time by the creek fishing or playing pool downstairs.

Perfect getaway

The cabin was amazing. The hot tub was nice and the property was very secluded. Even caught a few trout in the creek. Will definitely be staying there again

Beautiful spot

Excellent location with lots of opportunity to take in birdwatching from porch or hot tub, fishing on the creek, grilling on the porch. We thoroughly enjoyed our drives to Grayson Highlands and Lansing and just exploring the beautiful area.

Absolutely amazing spot! I actually like the fact that there was no cell phone service. Me and my husband was able to relax and have a nice little get away. The bed was comfortable. We love that we could just watch the deer play on the hill side from the kitchen window. The cabin was very clean and the hot tub and pole table was a huge plus! Think yall for letting us enjoy your amazing home.

Beautiful Location

Had a great weekend with friends. Location is beautiful overlooking the water. Hot tub was just what we needed after a trip on the Virginia creeper. We chose to cook every meal there and enjoy the surroundings and amenities. Plan to come back with our kids on our next trip to the area.

Great stay on High on Helton

The cabin was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Although the driveway was described as steep, and it was, it was drivable and walkable. The property overlooks the creek below and was relaxing to listen to while we sat on the deck.

My stay

The beds were extremely comfortable, unlike most rental locations. The hot tub did a great job of helping unwind. I honestly expected more fish, but overall we had a great time. The only problem we encountered was buying beer, you should definitely do so before you get there

All supplies, groceries should be picked up in Jefferson or West Jefferson(approx. 30 minutes away) to have the most choices. Lansing(approx. 15 mins) has a small grocery store for last minute needs. Perfect Mountain Escape

We were looking for a quiet getaway and could not have found a more perfect place! The cabin was exactly as shown. All amenities were wonderful! Comfy beds, plenty of room and beyond peaceful listening to the sounds of the creek. We had to call for a fan problem with the fridge. It was taken care of immediately....even on a holiday weekend. Definitely want to come back

A little disappointing

Love the location and surroundings. Kitchen, upstairs bedrooms and baths very nice. We had to move or kill more than 10 wasps. The downstairs had a little smell to it. The washer had mold on the inside.

Hi, We are glad overall you loved the location and surroundings at High On Helton! As soon as we were aware of the wasp issue, we contacted the regular pest control company to take care of it so that it was not ongoing at all. Fantastic stay by the river

This property is very isolated and we deeply enjoyed listening to the river, the rain, and all the birds in the trees surrounding it. If you're into fishing, it looks like this would be a great spot! Otherwise, it's a fantastic house, with great decks and rec-room in a great location. Bugs aren't an issue, as I was worried they might be (being in the trees and so close to the river). The AC window unit also kept up well and the basement stays very cool on its own (although I would expect to stay a bit warmer during the height of summer, if that's an issue).

It is locally known as one of the best trout fishing creeks! If you just want to relax and enjoy nature and the best the NC Mountains has to offer, this cabin is definitely the place to get away from the busy life and relax for a while. The trees and covered porch helping with shade is definitely a benefit to the cool setting at the cabin and the window AC is efficient and sufficient for cooling, even on warm days. Clarifications

4 wheel drive was needed to go up wet driveway in July. Only AC was a window unit on the third floor. Creek access was farther than expected.

Most front wheel drive cars can get up without trouble with a running start. We are sorry you found it hard to navigate when the gravel was wet. What a find!

We had a wonderful time at High on Helton. The cabin was so clean and had all of the amenities and fun extra perks like the pool table, board games and hot tub. Gas cooking- inside and out- was a plus. The deck overlooking the creek was hit with bright sun in the morning and a perfect spot to drink coffee despite the cooler morning temps. Shady in the evening and a fun spot for happy hour. The creek and whole general area was just beautiful. Outside of the cabin, we recommend the hiking trails on Mt Jefferson and a trail ride at Burnt Hill Stables- both a little over 30 minutes from the cabin. We will definitely be back.

Great Getaway

We take all our kids and all our nephews every year on a trip for their Christmas gift. This place was so much fun. The kids were never bored at all with the hot tub, game room, fire pit and river at the back door. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The only thing I have to complain about was someone threaten to call the law on us for noise and we were not even being loud and the neighbors are not close at all. You could compare how loud we were to guys watching a football game. Also there were fisherman walking all on the property to get to the river and once I found them sitting at the fire pit. That made us very cautious with letting the kids have complete free range. Other then those 2 things, we hope to visit again and would definitely recommend this quaint little house to others. 1 more thing I would recommend taking a truck if you have one. Most of the roads are gravel.
