Family Vacation 2025

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family has been staying here almost every year for 30+ years.Condo needs to be renovated given the current rental price.

A Place at the Beach II 1k June, 2025

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall an enjoyable visit, although the unit could use some updating. The over oven microwave is broken so a countertop unit is in place but that takes away the little prep space that existed. Bug houses on the counter were a bit off putting. Bedroom carpet was stained. The TV service was really lacking, we couldn't even access all major networks. Minor issues, but they start to add up. I would recommend to a friend with the above caveats.

Second stay in same unit much different than first stay

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I booked this 3 years ago and was very pleased back then and so booked it again for me and my family this year. The property is very clean and it has the basic essentials for cooking. The location is perfect and check in and check out was easy. Aside from the pros, we will not be renting this unit again. First, we were miserably hot the entire time, despite keeping the condo on 72 which was the lowest we were instructed to set the thermostat. The AC unit would come on for a few minutes and then turn off again. Sometimes the air felt cool, sometimes it didn’t feel as cool. It was extremely loud when it would turn off and on which disrupted the sleep of my son in the second bedroom. I looked at the AC units of this condo and the others around us and it is obvious this unit is old and passed its effectiveness. My second main issue was the mattress in the master bedroom. It has zero support and sinks in the middle. My back was killing me each night and I had to sleep on the very edge of the bed for any support. The whole purpose of a vacation is comfort and relaxation. And it was not very comfortable or relaxing in the most important of ways. I don’t appreciate the deception that assumes renters should be okay with old mattresses and ineffective cooling systems. If these things are too hard to maintain, then he property shouldn’t be rented or it should be known that little is being done to maintain the property. 3 years ago, I thought this place was perfect, hence my decision to book again. After all, it’s decorated nicely and the furniture (aside from the mattresses) is nice. But it’s hard to enjoy those things when you are hot, tired, and your back is killing you. I will not be renting this property again.

Built in microwave did not work and countertop microwave took up precious counter space.Location as always is outstanding!With two outstanding restaurants, The Quay and the Gulf Stream Cafe, right across the street cut down on having to drive.

Lovely stay for a lovely vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in other condos in this building before because we love the location. This one was perfect and met our needs well. It was clean and felt cozy and comfortable. It was decorated nicely and felt inviting. The location is perfect. My only complaint is a lack of countertop space for cooking. I had to get REALLY creative to try and figure out how to cook a nice meal without much countertop space. The condo also didn't have a can opener (despite having 4 wine bottle openers), and that surprised me and made cooking a bit more challenging until I could go buy one. Overall though, that was small potatoes in the grand scheme of the lovely time we had there. We would definitely stay in this condo again.

We enjoyed the pool facing unit and convenience to the beach walkway leading to a quiet beach, along with ample parking. The only little issue was the toilet in the smaller bathroom would "run" on a random basis and woke us up multiple times at night till we got used to it. Also, we didn't use the pool but it clearly would benefit from more frequent water condition testing and maintenance.

Family beach time

Weather was perfect, pool was amazing, proximity to beach was great. We have stayed in various units in the complex, this unit is not at the top of our list. Well stocked kitchen, clean unit. Master bed is worn, and mattress collapses to middle. Also seemed smaller than the advertised queen. Couch was comfortable, but sits very low to the floor. Chairs were worn, also sits low to floor, and cushions seemed to sink into the frame. Beds in 2nd bedroom were comfortable. Bathrooms were clean, but need updated and some minor repairs. I love this complex, but this unit needs some updates.

Condo was clean, kitchen was okay with only minimal supplies, master bed could be tightened so bed doesn't shift when one moves, overall nice condo. We'll be back to A Place at the Beach!
