Amazing house; the three individual bedrooms were perfect for us and the large pool in a secluded area made it an absolutely amazing experience.The house was very clean, had everything and more than we needed, with four independent A/C units, plenty of space and excellent exterior lighting as well, that allowed for late night swims too!The host was very polite, super nice and had arranged basic groceries for us upon arrival, so we didn’t miss anything. Location is roughly 15 minutes up the mountain from the city of Avola, so a car is required, but we loved the quiet neighborhood as well as the mountain roads, so a perfect fit for us as well. Very close to the Cava Grande trail start, which is definitely worth a visit!

The property was as expected. The pool was amazing and we used it daily. The house was clean but we did find there to be ants especially in the kitchen which was a little frustrating as we tried to find places to store snacks that had been opened. The beds were comfortable and the couch as well. There was limited storage room for luggage. We loved the outdoor area and used the grill and patio seating and eating area often. Neighborhood was quiet and had adequate parking space. Note that it is very easy to go over the maximum kilowatt allotment and you will need euros to pay this fee at checkout. Despite the couple minor inconveniences the home was wonderful and would definitely recommend and the property owners/tenders were wonderful people!

Great spot

Beautiful home, well appointed with exceptional outdoor space including pool and eating, lounging area. Great views of Avola. We used this as our base to tour the Val D'avola. Our host, Ino, was very conscientious in helping make our stay very comfortable.

Vacation in the sun

Nice, roomy and bright vacation home with nice view of the surrounding hills. Very nice and clean pool. Would like to come again in the near future.

Fantastic jump off point to explore this part of Sicily. Beautiful pool and comfortable home. We missed having towels for the pool and beach, beach chairs or an umbrella. The kitchen was basic and could have done with a few more of the basic essentials - wine glasses, newer pans, a grater… You pay for extra electricity and it is a flat amount whether one week or more. So the longer you stay the more you pay. We were conservative in our use but 100kw is not enough for two weeks. Would we come again? Absolutely, but expect a bit more next time.

Lovely view and a comfortable house.

We enjoyed our stay in the area. Lots of beautiful countryside and the sea in the distance. the house was great for two couples. You should be aware that a car is essential as there is nothing within walking distance. The coast is 10km down hairpin bends, hence the view! Avola and the surrounding area is lovely, much to see and many beautiful towns and villages. The need to get in the car everytime is a disadvantage, especially in the evenings.

Family holiday

Perfect for a quiet relaxing break. Villa comfortable (beds, lounge, showers). Limited local facilities as far as restaurants/ shops - a 15 min drive required. Initial issues with hot water were dealt with promptly by agent and owner. Electric is charged over and above 100kw at (local rate) @0.48. Swimming pool very clean although shallow for us (6ft!). Feedback provided to owner well accepted. Amazing views from, and close by the villa.

Villa Avola Antica

I really enjoyed my holiday here. If you’re looking for a place to relax this is the place. Lovely villa with pool close to the airport, Noto, Taormina and Siracusa, I will definitely come back. The only thing was the 100KW per week which in my opinion is too low especially when on hot days the air condition is needed. I think it’s fair to put a limit on electricity usage and there is a certain flexibility, maybe 150KW would be more realistic. But again this doesn’t change my feedback and I recommend this villa where I spent a wonderful holiday.

Jolie maison en haut d'une route à lacets avec belle vue sur la montagne de la grande terrasse

We stayed for 1 week at two couples. Villa style hacienda perched on a hill, do not fear the laces. The swimming pool with its beach is very nice, the large garden is beautiful and the large terrace which is actually the living room, there is a beautiful view of the mountain. Very quiet location, with a restaurant a 10 minute walk. The interior is clean, well furnished (new and old). It conforms to the pictures. Small flat for one of the two showers a little narrow. To know that the owner comes 2 times 3 hours to water the garden and to maintain the swimming pool. Pleasant stay! Patricia

Beautiful Villa, amazing relaxing location in Avola Antica

Beautiful Villa in Avola Antica. We really enjoyed our stay. The house is fully equipped as clearly listed in the description. Three big rooms with 3 bathroom. Amazing view and a swimming pool. The house is 12 minutes from Avola and 500m of altitude. During the night we didn’t have the needs to use the air conditioning, nice wind! During the day the black floor outside attracted the sunlight and we felt bit more the high august Sicilian temperature. Silent and relaxing location. Alessandro and the owner of the house responded and support quickly to all our questions. Etna erupted just few days before our arrival (rare event but it can happen) and didn’t helped to find the house fully cleaned. It was cleaned before the eruption but I would honestly have the house cleaned again before our arrival. A good ants disinfection must be done. Is common in summer to find ants in those type of house but disinfestation can help! I would recommend this house to all people who want to find a relaxing and cozy place in Sicily

Not as we expected.

The location of the property is high up a mountain with hair-pin bends with no street lighting, even as an experienced driver this was quite treacherous, however the views were spectacular. There was additional charges once we arrive which was personal taxes. There was no mention prior to arrival that you could not put toilet paper in the toilet, the smell of drains in the bathrooms was overpowering. There was lights not working, we changed the bulb ourselves in the kitchen to find it was the fitting not the bulb. The back bathroom had the plug in the sink not working and had to use a knife to lift it to drain the water, the window would not close and we had to call the owner in to close it. There are lots of wires in extension leads, which is not good if you have children. The kettle and toaster again was in an extension lead and both had to be turned off manually as they did not automatically turn off. We had some storms, which we then had leaks in the roof, one of the beds had to be moved as the mattress was getting very wet, the owner came when we told him and he put bowls out to catch the water, he was quiet apologetic when he saw the leaks. Also the windows in the lounge was very drafty and let in water when it rained. The owner lives directly opposite with access through a door next to the pool, they seem to enter the property without your knowledge as we found light on when we returned in the evening, and windows open. You do have to pay extra for any electric used during your stay. Be aware that there are feral cats around the property, so you are unable to leave doors or windows open. The owner also expects you to recycle rubbish, but to also put different bins out daily for the collection, I have NEVER had to put any rubbish out at any property I have rented especially when paying a cleaning fee. I am not sure what the cleaning fee is for, as we went to use the coffee maker and it had stale coffee still in the filter, therefore would not use it. Unfortunately, had I had seen this kind of review, I would not have entertained this property.

Wir haben uns in der Villa sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich, wir haben uns beim Checkin und am Abreisetag gesehen. Die Villa liegt in einer angenehm ruhigen Gegend und ist gut ausgestattet mit allem, was man so braucht. Wir haben nichts vermisst und haben vor allem das Frühstücken auf der Terrasse im Sonnenschein sehr genossen. Die Poolreinigung ist mit einem Poolroboter erfolgt, wir waren die Tage also völlig ungestört. Von Avola aus kann man gut Ausflüge nach Noto, Ragusa, Syrakus, Catania und zu den Stränden machen. Wir können den Aufenthalt auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Wir haben 4 Wochen in diesem schönen Haus verbracht und empfehlen es wärmstens weiter. Ino, der Gastgeber ist sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit und kümmert sich rührend um den Pool. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und die ruhige und etwas frischere Lage oben in den Bergen sehr genossen. Die Distanz zu Avola und damit Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Meer ist nicht nennenswert, wir sind mehr mehrfach täglich dort gewesen. Der Pool ist fantastisch Das Haus ist sehr schön und gemütlich, die Klimaanlage funktioniert sehr gut. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und bedanken uns für die schöne Zeit!!

The property was beautiful and exactly what we hoped for. Location is exceptional. We were early and the host was waiting for us to arrive. There was a thorough tour of the property with lots of information using Google translate on both sides, but all was understood. The property is large and sunny and well equipped, worth noting though that the property sleeps up to 8 but there are 4 sun loungers, 4 outdoor chairs, 4 dining chairs so it required improvising as we are a family of 5. The pool area is lovely and the pool a good size and clean, the outdoor space is very spacious. It is worth noting though that the allowed amount 'free' for electricity is nowhere near enough for 2 weeks. We had to pay 85 euros in cash before leaving and we only had the Aircon on for 2 nights for a few hours and we had turned off all of the hundreds of decorative lights, if we hadn't the bill would have been astronomical,annoying especially given the price of the property. It is also worth noting that the WiFi is poor and the mobile signal non existent so if you have a family who like to keep in contact it can be very frustrating. We had a great holiday here, but it's good to get honest feedback!.

Wir haben das Ferienhaus für eine Woche gebucht und waren rundum zufrieden! Die Ausstattung ist super und alles war sauber. Die Kommunikation (obwohl wir kein italienisch können ;-) ) lief immer reibungslos und super freundlich.Da wir abends sehr spät angekommen sind, wurde uns als kleine Aufmerksamkeit ein kleines Carepacket für das erste Frühstück vorbereitet. Wir können die Ferienwohnung ohne Einschränkung weiterempfehlen.

Die Villa ist perfekt und manchmal auch atemberaubend - weil Sie so wunderschön - sich in die Natur einbettet. Ino der Gastgeber war steht's da wenn man einen Wunsch hat. Wir waren mit 6 Personen zu Gast und fühlten uns sehr wohl. Unser Enkel wollte garninicht auf die gebuchten Ausfluge mitkommen - er wäre lieber dort geblieben und hatte in den tollen Pool geplanscht. Wir bedanken uns sehr, für den super Urlaub - kommen nächstes Jahr bestimmt wieder.

Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich, aber für uns zu sehr im Detail.Der Stromverbrauch wurde kontrolliert und vorgezeichnet, obwohl er nach dern Angaben bei VRBO inclusive war.Ein Hottub ist angegeben, obwohl keiner vorhanden ist. Das sollte eigentlich den Preis reduzieren. Ansonsten eine schöne Unterkunft. Sehr ruhig zum entspannen... Etwas zu teuer für die Lage und die Nebensaison.

Wir haben unsere Woche in der Villa sehr genossen und uns mehr als wohl gefühlt!Unser Gastgeber waren sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was wir als Familie benötigt haben.Die Lage ist perfekt für Ausflüge im Süden und Osten von Sizilien (Ätna, Cava Grande di Cassibile, Pantalica, Altstädte von Syracuse und Noto,...). Nicht zu vergessen eine ganze Reihe von schönen Stränden zum Baden. Im Oktober war das Meer doch deutlich wärmer als der Pool. :-)Wir können das Ferienobjekt uneingeschränkt empfehlen!

Wir wurden sehr herzlich vom Vermieter Ino empfangen und haben uns vom ersten Moment an willkommen gefühlt. Ino war auch immer für Fragen zu erreichen, er ist sehr freundlich und herzlich. Das Haus ist modern eingerichtet, die Zimmer und Bäder sind schön – alles entspricht genau der Beschreibung. Besonders der Poolbereich ist toll und lädt zum Entspannen ein.Man braucht zwar ein Auto, um flexibel zu sein, aber in Avola gibt es viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Die direkte Umgebung ist wunderschön und angenehm ruhig – perfekt für einen erholsamen Urlaub. Ein schöner Strand ist auch nicht weit und die Stadt Noto ist ideal für einen Ausflug und um eines der vielen Restaurants zu besuchen. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und würden das Haus jederzeit wieder mieten!

Der Vermieter was sehr aufdringlich und immer präsent. Bei der Ankunft waren die Toiletten nicht gereinigt. Der Rest der Wohnung war Ok. Eigentlich ist das Haus mit dem Pool sehr gut, aber der Vermieter ist mit seiner Aufdringlichkeit und ständiger Überwachung sehr nervig.

Wunderbare Aufenthalt

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit in diesem Haus in Avola mit unsere Familie. Ino war ausgesprochen sympathisch und hat uns von der ersten bis zur letzten Minute mit allem geholfen. Er war stets hilfsbereit, aufmerksam und sehr fürsorglich, sodass wir uns sofort wohlgefühlt haben. Das Haus war makellos sauber und mit allen erdenklichen Küchenutensilien ausgestattet. Die Betreuung war einfach hervorragend besser hätte es nicht sein können. Wir können ihn und das Haus absolut weiterempfehlen und bedanken uns herzlich für die schöne Zeit Ino. ;-)

Komfortables Haus mit sehr bequemen Betten

Das Haus ist mit seinen 3 Schlafzimmern plus Wohnküche ist sehr geräumig und hat äusserst bequeme Betten. Die Zimmer lassen sich gut verdunkeln, die Badezimmer sind ebenfalls modern und komfortabel. Check-in und Check-out liefen einfach ab. Der Pool hat den Kindern viel Spaß gebracht. Leider gibt es im Ort keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, dafür muss man nach Avola runter fahren. Alles in allem eine sehr angenehme und komfortable Location!
