Few days at Jekyll Island

Bliss your Heart is an absolute gem! The house layout is perfect for our group and we are looking forward to coming back! We all adored the house. The location is top-notch. We rode bikes from there to the north one day and to the south the next. Thank you for providing such a lovely home!

Comfy, close-to-beach house

Plenty of room. Comfortable house. Not fancy, but plenty of room and close to beach. We enjoyed it. Back bedroom was warm, but my daughter preferred that. The beach nearby was almost like having a private beach—very few people.

We loved that the home kept many original features from the 50s making it feel like a throwback to a simple beach cottage. We would definitely stay again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Bliss Your Heart is one of the first homes built on Jekyll Island after it became a State Park, and its mid-century vibe is apparent. The location close to the beach is excellent, particularly at sunrise, and the Bliss Lane neighborhood is charming. The kitchen is especially well equipped, and Jekyll Realty's customer service was top notch as usual. I recommend this home, especially for beach-lovers.

February 2024 Stay

We had a wonderful time. The biking/walking trails were great! Driftwood beach exceeded our expectations…it was absolutely beautiful! Spent a lot of time walking the beaches and learning about the history of the island. The island is perfectly located so we had the chance to enjoy St. Simons island and visiting Savannah. Our accommodations were excellent and very well furnished. Looking forward to coming back next year!!

Jekyll Realty is always great to work with and do a great job responding to any issues. Properties are typically well-maintained and this was no exception. Despite being an older property, it was quite comfortable and spacious.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We always use Jekyll Realty because the staff are incredible. The location was perfect and we loved the area it was in. I would stay here again. It has some great history behind it. However, we’ve never had issues with the cleanliness of a home, but on the 2nd day, we found a piece of food on a chair in the living room and crumbs under it. There were several dead bugs in bedrooms. It was obvious that whoever cleaned it wasn’t really doing a thorough job. Kinda scary considering the COVID issues going on right now. I was glad I took some cleaning things with me. But I would stay here again anyway! Just go prepared.

The home is very comfortable and very close to the beach. we kept five bikes on the back porch and rode everyday,the house it's very close to bike trails we thoroughly enjoyed our stay the only issue we had was the third bedroom was warmer than the rest of the house and we had to purchase a fan.

It is an older home which provided adequate facilities and amenities for our week near the beach with 8 guests. Screened porches have potential for use but cobwebs and grit collect on furniture quickly. Ours was a beach vacation,with eating out, visiting friends and touring the area. This house was okay for the time we spent in it.

I will note that the furniture and kitchen furnishings are aging and some need replacement but this is still a very nice "blissful" place to stay. The rental process is easy and everything went according to Hoyle. Will stay here again.

Our family loves to play games, work puzzles etc while vacationing and there were lots of different areas to enjoy those activities as well as spend time at the beach nearby. Only one small issue with the house was the step up into the kitchen from the bedroom/bath and laundry room area. We were grateful for the available handle to help negotiate the step, but we did have a few mishaps with family members tripping on the step a few times. Overall we had a fantastic time that week and wish it could have been longer.

Although it is one of the original houses built on Jekyll, it has recently been remodeled keeping some of the charm of original cottage. The living space and the bedrooms were good sized. Huge oak trees overhang the street making it cool and shaded. The beach is a short walk and even at high tide, we always had room for our tent and chairs. We would certainly rent it again.

There is a nice yard and two screened porches.People who are looking for a luxury rental would not be happy. We, along with our children and grandchildren think it's a great vacation house. Great location also.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Well, On the first day, a tree branch hit my husbands truck and him in the head. It took two days for the rental company to respond. The toilet and drains backed up every time you used the washer and we had to call twice for that. There was water that constantly stayed in one room. The bed in one of the room was broken and it tilted to the floor to where the kids couldn't even sleep in that bed. We love Jekyll Island and will continue to vacation here. However, this property I would never recommend.
