This a beautiful apartment with a stunning terrace in the heart of busy Naples. It was a haven to return to after a day of sightseeing. It was great to have some basics provided for cooking (olive oil, salt, washing liquid) . Communication with Annamaria was great, we met her at the apartment and she also gave us some restaurant recomendations. The only downside is Netflix / Amazon prime was not available although there is a DVD player.

Great location, great apartment

We loved our stay in Annamaria's apartment.Napoli is a very chaotic city, and it was very nice to be in such a peaceful place. We were very comfortable with our stay. The only isssue we had was the inconsistent hot water of the shower.

Beautiful artsy space with 180 degree view!

The apartment had everything we needed and was an oasis in the busy city. Annamaria was friendly and helpful and even left us pastries and wine. Wonderful place to stay. Two bedrooms but one much larger than the 2nd. Recommend highly.

It was the best vocation for me and my family, as the appartment is very comfortable, with a wonderful terrace. It has a beautiful location, close to metropolitan station. Hostess Annamaria is very lovely and attentive. I really want to go back for the next vocation, thanks to Annamaria for everything!!!

Great place to stay in the heart of Naples

I originally rented this place thinking a friend would join me. I ended up staying there by myself, so a little more room than I needed, but it was perfect. Great bed, great bathroom, great kitchen. I did a little work while there, so I can vouch for the great connectivity. The crown jewel is the terrace. Perfect view for a morning cup of coffee or a drink after a day of enjoying the city.

A haven

This is a comfortable home-from-home, lovely to return to after a day in lively Naples. It has a superb location: minutes walk to the Toledo Metro station, bus lines, several streets of restaurants, and a welcoming bar across the street. The patio is beautifully planted, a great place to sit in the early morning to watch swifts flying, and in the evening to see the sun go down behind the Certosa di San Martino. Thank you, Annamaria.

fantastic real Naples

We had a wonderful week staying here. This apartment is in perfect location - on a smaller street, but steps away from the metro and funicular (take the funicular up to Vomero, and walk down the Pedimentina to your home - awesome!); walking distance from the port, archeological museum and most other major sites. The apartment is spacious and has a patio with the view of Certosa di San Martino. This is not some cold, synthetic, corporate looking rental, but a real home, with books, doilies and even a piano. And with Sig.ra dePalma's relaxed and friendly hosting you will feel like you are visiting your grandma.

Booked the apartment and the host accepted. Later, she changed my reservation date to two weeks later and told me the place was already reserved for when I originally booked it. I asked her to please cancel- she refused and told me that I should cancel. Yet when I looked at the cancellation policy I would have lost 50% of my money for a date that I didn’t reserve. I pointed this out and she still refused to cancel. It forced me to spend over an hour on the phone with VRBO to get my money back. She tried to scam me- beware. I wouldn’t stay here with your money.

A beautiful flat in an excellent neighborhood. There was air-con and wifi aplenty. So close to Vico Lungo del Gelso where there are endless eateries. A Pignata was recommended and it did not disappoint. The check-in was a bit confusing as we weren't privy to the information on which floor the flat was. That could have taken lots of time off our check-in.Signora is a lovely host, and her flat reflects that. It's full of art, plants, and music. The outdoor areas were sublime. She left us a beautiful array of typical Neapolitan pastries for us to enjoy, and we most certainly did enjoy them. The view at night were stunning, and the sounds of the neighborhood were a joy to partake. We found the bed uncomfortable, but that's personal preference and a gamble with any rental space. Excellent water pressure in the shower.

Highly recommanded!

Great value! You feel directly at home: there are a lot of beautifull flowers on the terrace, music and books in the living room, some personnal lovely stuffs,… It was really clean too. Anna-Maria welcomed us very friendly with some fresh pastries, wine and coffee! we were five people(3 adults and 2 teens) and it was spacious enough to stay together. Wonderfull view from the terrace where we ate each time. Good place to visit Napoli (near the underground "TOLEDO") but it is a little noisy during the night because of the scooters. In fact, you stay in a very popular area of Napoli: the spanish district. The lift is also a little bit capricious so you have to go up the four stairs because the apartment is just under the roof. We will come back! Thank you so much Anna-Maria! Sophie and all the family.

Sophie thanks for the compliments for the stay in the apartment. I'm glad you had a good time, I'm sorry for the elevator but it is not dangerous, the inhabitants of the building using it regularly. When you want to return to Naples I will be happy to welcome you. see you soon. regards Annamaria

We (couple, (30yrs old) h...

We (couple, (30yrs old) have enjoyed our stay in Napoli very much! The appartment is just incredible. Everything is organized neatly, it was very clean and we felt like at home. Mrs. Anna-Maria P. has been very friendly and prepared several brochures for us to give ideas how to spend our time in Napoli. The appartment offers all the things you need to feel comfortable (kitchen stuff, pillows, music instrumentes, books, washing machine, air condition etc. and has a tremendous view to St. Elmo and is just wonderful to be at in the day time and evenings. As it is in the spanisch quarter it is sometimes quite noisy (motor cycles and cars) when windows are open but that didn`t bother us (we used air condition at night time). We stayed at the appartment for a couple of days to study but we also took day trips to the island of procida, the vesuvio, herculano, pompeij and of course the historical city centre of napoli. Close to the appartment (10 minute walk) is a wonderful market for fruits, cheeses and wine. So we spent romantic evenings on the terrace with a view of napoli, pasta and wine. Thank you Maria for this wonderful time, we will recommend your place to all the italy fans we know!

Grazie Sig. Annamaria. Alfredo

Pretty good but....

In general, the apartment is pretty good. It is just a short distance from Toledo metro station and the terrace is really pleasant with a nice view. The apartment itself would be pretty good with just a little touch here and there. Our main problem was the bathroom. Hot water runs rather randomly and when it runs, it does not run for a long time. We are talking about 60 - 90 seconds here. It didn't work very well for 3 women who want to have a shower and wash their hair. But OK, we managed somehow. It's actually quite refreshing to wash your hair in a cold water :-) Other problem I would like to mention would be the lack of space where you can put your stuff in. The apartment is full of .... things. There are clothes in the wardrobes so unless you take it out, you live from your suitcase. Not a big deal, we experienced worse ... but still. Also, but this is not Annamaria's problem - the elevator didn't work the whole week we were there. We have been told that it broke just before we arrived. OK. But we are talking about 4th floor. 121 - 126 steps (I was not able to keep my mind on counting them so I always got a different result ...anyway, it's lot of steps if you carry few bottles of wine, melon and some bread and cheese :-) or a luggage to or from the apartment. In general, I would recommend the apartment to people who are not too "sensitive". We had a great time there but we are pretty seasoned. If you expect something "posh", then look elsewhere.
