Very nice apartment

Very nice and quiet. We loved the apartment. Sweet dogs outside the yard. Easy self-check-in.

Peaceful

A quiet courtyard with clacking jackdaws and the gentle trickle of water from the spring makes for a very relaxing stay. Many towns and the beach are within easy reach for a day of site seeing but it was lovely to get away from the bustle of the towns for a quiet sunset and romantic dinner. We loved it

Silence and peace

We were completely happy with our stay in Masseria. The Place is unique. Peace and quite. Severe. Beauty. Contemplation.

Beautiful apartment in rustic setting

We highly recommend a stay at this apartment. The rustic apartment is situated within a beautiful family run olive tree and wheat farming compound. The bedrooms were simple and comfortably furnished. The public rooms were full of local character and family collected art and curios . It was really nice coming home to a relaxing and quiet home after a long day of driving and touring. We wish we had spent more time exploring the olive groves and fields. The owner was very helpful with directions and suggestions and met us at the local market to allow us to buy groceries right way. It's hard to imagine a more relaxing environment.

Highly recommended

We stayed one week at this beautiful farmhouse during our 3 week holiday in Sicily this year. The house is situtated in a large olive grove. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a quiet place in the middle of nature. During our stay we visited sights nearby (Piazza Armerina, Morgantina, Aidone, Caltagirone, Mazzarino) and Palermo and Cefalu (it's not too far from the highway, so also a good starting point for trips to sights a bit further away). The remaining time we relaxed at the courtyard in front of the house. The apartment was really clean and well equiped. Spacious living room, large kitchen, comfortable beds. Upon arrival we were received with great hospitality. Thank you Emanuela & Giuseppe, we had a great time!

Logement plein de charme au calme

Mes enfants et moi avons passé un très agréable séjour en visitant le sud de la Sicile avec une prestation adaptée à la canicule (ancien corps de ferme avec clim, fontaine, piscine, végétation... Le logement affiche plein de charme dans un écrin de verdure (oliviers, amandiers, figuiers, citronniers...) avec une vue panoramique exceptionnelle. Hôte très accueillant et bienveillant qui a répondu à nos attentes afin d'optimiser notre séjour.

Perfect for us

We are two active 80 year olds. This was perfect place for us. Very comfortable, quiet and in beautiful surroundings. We visited Villa Romana, Siracusa, and the coast. Our hosts were most gracious and very responsive to our questions. All in all we had a great week!!

Unique rural farm stay

Our stay was very enjoyable. The location in central Sicily allowed access to many sites. The rural roads were challenging to drive at first but we became quite adept by end of stay.

Beautiful remote romantic get away

We spent two weeks in the beautiful house. The house is well equipped and clean.. The surrounding is beautiful and rural. The landlords are very kind .

Romantisch und stilvoll

Es war ein Glück für uns, dass wir diese Unterkunft gefunden haben. Wir haben es genossen, frisches Quellwasser aus dem Brunnen zu trinken, abends vor dem Kamin zu sitzen, und beim Heraustreten aus dem Tor die herrliche Aussicht zu genießen. Die Ferienwohnung ist mit allem, was man braucht, ausgestattet. Den Wirtsleuten herzlichen Dank für den warmen Empfang und alle Unterstützung!

Relaxing getaway worth *****

This is a wonderful, charming place to relax. We were here in the Spring, when the area is filled with wild flowers. On the drive to the Masseria, we passed fields of prickly pear cactus being cultivated like any other crop -- truly unique. The apartment is spacious yet cozy, with all the amenities you could want. Emmanuela and Guessippi were very attentive to our needs; fresh drinking water is steps away at the fountain in the courtyard; and the dogs and cats are friendly and love a bit of attention. Don't forget to visit Mazzarino, which is a wonderful town.

Magnífica casa en un lugar súper relajante

Somos una familia de España y hemos pasado unos días estupendos en la Masseria Floresta. Emanuela y su familia fueron muy amables, y además nos obsequiaron con sus magníficos aceite, miel, vino, y mermelada de naranja. La casa es muy bonita, refrescante en el calor del verano, y con un entorno muy muy relajante. Desde ahí se pueden hacer muy buenas excursiones en todas las direcciones, y resulta así un punto estupendo desde el que desplazarse por la región. Los chicos lo pasaron muy bien con el cariñoso perrito, al que llamamos Montblanc. Muy, muy recomendable. Gracias, Emanuela. Carlos, Rosa, Álvaro y Gonzalo.

The Beautiful South of Sicily!

We booked for 1 week in Casa Granaio. No trouble getting there, we got a perfect explanation how to drive. Arriving at the farm was a pleasant surprise. The pictures on the internet looked great but in reality the place was even nicer. A warm welcome from Emanuella and Giuseppe and all the information you need. The 'house' (a part of the farm building) was spotless clean and neat. Everything you might need was there. Some extras (like the BBQ, the CD's e.g.) came in very handy. Nights were refreshing, even in daytime the house felt cool. The place had a very 'at home' feeling. We can recommend this place to anyone needing a great and a bit remote summer hiding place from where to explore the beautiful south of Sicily. On top of that, the owners are 2 very friendly and intelligent people with whom you can easily feel connected.

Fantastic

Probably the most bucolic place that we visited in Sicily. And with a most gracious owner, Emmanuela that greeted us with a bottle of wine and a bottle of olive oil from their plantation. You will find a Spar grocery store at the entrance in San Como next to a pizzeria that make a great Marguerita in a wood burning oven. A great place to rest after fighting the Sicilian roads with their crazy traffic signs

Un appartamento molto particolare

Questo appartamento è stato veramente una buona scelta! Si estende su tre piani, si potrebbe persino dire su quattro livelli diversi. Già questo crea un' atmosfera straordinaria. L' arredamento è accogliente e rivela un senso per piccoli dettagli. Soprattutto la cucina è arredata in uno stile che corrisponde perfettamente alla vecchia casa. Anche dal punto di vista pratico la cucina è ben attrezzata. Fuori c' è il bellissimo cortile, un luogo ideale per leggere, cenare sotto la pergola, osservare i gatti o semplicemente godere la tranquillità. Anche il paesaggio con il bizzarro Monte Formaggio ci ha affascinato, e durante il nostro soggiorno (aprile) i prati sono stati completamente verdi e coperti di fiori. Dalla masseria si raggiunge velocemente la Villa Romana del Casale, mio marito ed io abbiamo anche visitato la Valle dei Templi a Agrigento da lì (circa 1,5 ore in auto). Abbiamo avuto un bellissimo soggiorno. Ringraziamo Licia, la proprietaria di Casa Colombaia, per la sua gentilezza e ospitalità!

Simply Wonderful!!

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Casa Ribatteria. The property is very clean and well equipped with everything you can possibly need. Everything is very well maintained and the bathrooms are brand new. However you must be fast in the shower as the hot water tends to run out quickly. The location is beautiful surrounded by flowers and orchards and is a true getaway from city life. Gabriela is such a nice host and made us feel very welcomed and comfortable. We would highly recommend this property. The only little downside we experienced is that it was difficult to sleep past 8am, it gets quite busy and loud with the tractors and Italian conversations between the upstairs neighbour and the gardener at our front door but I guess that's the charm of the Sicilian country side.

Desidero ringraziare tantissimo questa simpaticissima coppia. E' bello poter offrire la propria casa a chi riesce ad apprezzare anche i minimi dettagli. Il riscaldamento dell'intera casa, alimentato dal termocamino, inoltre, e' stato pensato a affinche' si possa raggiungere durante l'inverno un caldo tepore. Infine è stato un piacere indicarvi le tante cose da vedere intorno alla masseria. Grazie.

Le gite se trouve dans une magnifique hacienda importante et cossue. L’équipement est très correct. Un micro-onde et un grille pain seraient les bienvenus. Idéalement situé pour rayonner dans toute la Sicile (Trapani, le plus éloigné est à 2h30 en voiture). A proximité (- de 40 km) à voir des sites superbes dont la « casa romana del casale » à Caltagirone ( 5 étoiles). L’accueil du prop. Giuseppe Guccione est remarquablement chaleureux et quasi familial. Les habitants de San Cono sont d’une extrême gentillesse. A noter : le café et la boulangerie près du municipio - le rest. » TRE ARCHI » via Don Luigi Sturzo à la sortie du village – le rest. « PRIMAVERA » des frères Randazzo au : Ss 117 bis Gela/Piazza Armerina 95040 San cono. En conclusion secteur à découvrir et à connaître.

Famiglia con 3 bambini piccoli

Ottima soluzione per chi ama la tranquillità e vuole effettuare delle escursioni nella parte centrale della Sicilia. Abitazione molto spaziosa, ben accessoriata. Ampio cortile con fontana e vastissima distesa di ulivi. Posto auto. Proprietari molto cortesi e disponibili.
