Our family had a lovely time staying here! Our folks live down the street and it was the perfect location for our visit. There was plenty of space to hang out and the kids loved the arcade games. We would easily stay here again if available for our next trip.

We loved our stay, the Cottage was very clean and right next to the lake (across the street). Plus there was a Marsh within walking that had many water birds and wildlife. The location is about 15 minutes from Port Clinton and Catawba Island. I highly recommend if you're looking for a quiet getaway close to the lake.

My family and I enjoyed this space! Clean and comfortable. On the smaller side but that was what I wanted. Myself, my husband and our teenage children were able to spend quality time comfortably! Love the arcade machines as pinball became a competition within our family. Outside space was perfect for corn hole and to relax around a fire. Beaches so close and the amenities such as the beach chairs were a perfect touch! Looking forward to our next trip and would love to rent from the hosts again!

It was quiet, well-equipped, comfortable and just what we needed for our retreat. We especially enjoyed the large back porch and the back yard. The grill was excellent. We did a lot of cooking and had everything we needed. We hope to stay again next year.

Cute, comfortable, well-supplied cabin. There were only 2 of us but there was plenty of space for a larger group. Perfectly located for nearby birding hot spots. Stacy was very responsive and a pleasure to deal with when we had questions.

Cozy Retreat on Lake

Angler’s Anchor offers a cozy cottage, close to major tourist activities, but also far enough to offer a relaxed stay in a quiet neighborhood.

Great Location

My family and I stayed here while birding for a few days at Magee Marsh and Ottawa National Nature Preserve. It was a very convenient location for both of those places. The house is small, but laid out nicely and there was plenty of room for the 7 of us because of the bunk room which was great! We really liked the sunroom in the back as well!

Comfortable cottage

My family and friends have wonderful 3 days in this cottage, the rooms are very clean, the amenities are completed, there are every things you need, there are lots of toys and things to do for kids, in the future we will come back again.

Great for family trip

We stayed here for my daughters dance competition. Everything we could have needed was provided. Everyone loved the pinball machine.

Cozy cottage nice atmosphere

My husband and our 5 kids enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The cottage itsekf was very cozy. The area around the cottage was very quite and had a nice lade back atmosphere.

Very nice

Very nice cottage everything we needed. The patio was nice it's screened in and has a pin ball machine. Bed was very comfy. Would rent again.

Great place if you want solitude

We came here for our honeymoon and it is a little bit of a trip to get anywhere but if your objective was to take a couple of day trips while spending the rest of your time hiking, enjoying the lake and relaxing then this is the place for you.

Just Right

We always want to be close to the water where we stay and this house is perfect for that. All kinds of amenities for lake loving guests. Stayed on the back porch when I wasn’t at the lake’s edge. It was just right for the outdoors kind of person.

Part of a 2 house rental

We enjoyed having the two houses owned by the same folks. The owner I talked with was accommodating and friendly. The house has a great back porch!

Memories for a lifetime

Really enjoyed our short stay. Neighborhood was super quiet, close enough to activities. Loved how child friendly the house was. My 5 year old found the “jackpot” of toys in the 3 seasons room! Super short walk to the beach access. We were the only ones there every time we went. Owner was super responsive! Would definitely recommend.

Vacation and fishing get-away

Loved most everything about it EXCEPT that the nuclear power plant is so close. so disappointed about that. but loved being able to walk across the street to a small beach area and see the waves on Lake Erie from the cottage windows.

Anglers Anchors

The house was just as described. It was easy checking in, and they had all the amenities we needed. The back porch was great. May flies were stuck everywhere, and we had a large rainstorm at night and the backyard had standing water the next day. Because of storms the beaches were all pretty small.

We are so glad that you enjoyed the cottage. :) Yes, Mayflies occur once a year, for about a week, sometime in June, and you just never know when that will be. Fortunately, they do not bite!! I apologize if they were a nuisance! The rain and water level of Lake Erie have made all of the beach areas, anywhere on Lake Erie, smaller this year. We hope that they return to normal soon, but am glad guests can still enjoy swimming in the lake and have some sand to play in! We hope to see you again! Thank you for staying with us!
