In advance of guests stays we provide our personal home and mobile numbers in order guests can contact us with any questions before or during stays. Guests are advised and welcomed to make contact at any time if there is something they need or if an issue arises in order we can make their stay as happy as possible. We operate on a key safe system and a code is provided in advance of stays. This works well, usually, guests feel free to arrive and depart as they please especially for those arriving late at night as in this case. Given the close proximity of our home and garden we try our utmost to not be intrusive and most guests find the key safe to work well and only wish to contact us if they need to rather than have us calling in on them. We are as advertised a self catering apartment and provide no food and drink items. In the past we have provided things and it has proved not something that guests wanted, as such things are a personal preference. There is a very small local shop in walking distance and a Coop and M and S food at the Garage a very short drive away open late - this information is provided on our listing. We thank you for any input on additional items to add in the flat and we will consider some purchases, aswell we have defrosted the freezer throughly. Our flat is not a home from home and items included are as advertised in our listing details and photos viewed at the time of booking. Reviews of previous guests can be found online and therefore we have not used a guest book in the past, we will look to make some improvements and start an information pack to go with the leaflets and information we already provide on attractions and places to eat. From our view we do expect guests to be respectful of our property and to drive at a slow and reasonable speed up and down our drive and report damages caused particularly significant ones which was an issue in this case. We maintain a professional and kindly approach to all our guests and we have never deducted anything from the damage deposits which we have maintained for these guests aswell, we would however not recommend or accept a return visit from these guests.

Many thanks for your review, we appreciate feedback and have purchased a number of your suggested missing items for future guests - including a cheese grater and extra pan (now making 4 pans) as well and extra spatula and extra pillows. We have also added some coat hooks downstairs for convenience. Unfortunately we have decided against providing food items as this is to tricky and is personal preference to the guests staying. Cleaning items are in the flat and available to guests under the sink. Should anyone require an iron and iron this can be requested and brought from the house. We apologise for any inconvenience caused during your stay.
