Visninger fra hvert vindue

Dette er en højkvalitets kirkeomdannelse, som vi blev forelsket i, da vi først set den. Det er vores hjem, når vi er i Skotland og er et fredeligt smukt sted at være baseret på. Udsigten er fantastisk og huset er nemt at nyde med kvalitetsmøbler og inventar og velproportionerede værelser.

Det er centralt beliggende i landsbyen, ideel og alligevel privat og stille med en traditionel pub meget tæt på. Der er også en landsby butik, slagter, en anden pub og deli / cafe alle inden for 25 meter, men sommerhuset er entydigt privat og stille.

Kippen er et lille og tæt samfund og i nærheden af vandreture og landskabslandskaber er forbløffende. Pubberne giver også god mad og atmosfære efter en dag udforskning. Det er ikke langt at besøge Stirling, Glasgow eller Edinburgh og ture til bakkerne og højlandet er også let tilgængelige ved hjælp af Kippen som base. Vi elsker dette sted og håber du vil også.

Huset har gulvvarme hele vejen igennem. High speed WiFi og et kvalitetsunderholdningssystem. Huset har udsigt fra hvert værelse over det skotske højland.

Super cottage in Kippen

Centrally located in the village of Kippen views from lounge were superb. Cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. Kippen is a great village has a Mini Supermarket and two pubs both serving good food. If you are visiting the Homeland as we were Kippen is a great location for motorway to Glasgow and Edinburgh and Fife. Our only criticism was the weather which Kippen or the cottage has no control over!

I liked that it was in a quaint village. We chose this place because it was economical. We could prepare and have our meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was only 10 miles from Stirling. We had challenges with the refrigerator not closing all the time. We fixed it. The neighbours were helpful with regards to the recycling.

Quite disappointing

Absolutely no wardrobe space in a two bedroom property!! Furnishings look good but come with owner's request to use caution - the two Chesterfield sofas are light cream,covered with(light cream) throws and you are asked not to scrape kitchen chairs on the floor.lt's impossible to close the blinds on 2 of 3 sides to the living room and the large kitchen window has neither curtains or blinds.. The second bedroom is two singles pushed together without a headboard with the mattress of one side being pushed over the socket connecting the bedside lamp. Heating is supplied by a "complicated underfloor system" the controls of which you are warned against using but that "hopefully the temperature will be fine for you"!!! It wasn't on a mainly wet October week. This owner is charging premium rates - it was disappointing to experience the shortfall.

Excellent rental in a quiet town

We loved this place! So cute! Kitchen was large and well stocked. Bed was super comfortable and had plenty of pillows available. Beautiful views as advertised. The large clawfoot tub was wonderful! I normally shower but chose the tub every time because it was so deep and relaxing. Only thing that could have made it better was the clothes dryer was not working. Would absolutely stay here again!

Fantastic place quietly tucked in the back with beautiful scenery.

We had a great stay in Kippen. The location is perfect to take in the beauty of Scotland and have easy access to other cities, the mountain and lake region, plus a number of distilleries! The town was tiny but beautiful, and had everything you could need. The people were kind and treated us well. We really enjoyed the quiet and beauty of Kippen, and would love to go back again! A car is pretty much a nessessity for this location. Adrian and Jenny were wonderful hosts, and very helpful. They provided plenty of information on the house and the area, and were great with communication. The house was charming, and had all modern conveniences. One full bathroom downstairs for the one bedroom, and an ensuite with a claw foot tub for the master. We had a great stay, and would love to come back.

Tolles Objekt mit wundervoller Lage und Aussicht

Top Ferienwohnung in einer umgebauten Kirche, mit wunderschönem Blick in die Highlands. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in Kippen und Highlands sehr genossen. Ein traditionelles Pub mit gutem Essen direkt nebenan, ein Cafe gleich daneben und zum einkaufen muss man nur über die Straße gehen, perfekt für unsere Zwecke. Vielen Dank das man diese tolle Wohnung mieten kann.

Comfortable stay with friends.

The property was clean and tidy, with all facilities just as described. The heating was on thankfully, as it was November and freezing. The beds were very comfortable and having two double beds and two bathrooms was ideal for two couples. Please note though, if you arrive after dark the passage down to the cottage is pitch black and you will not find the key safe without a pretty good torch.

Great Cottage

Wir waren Anfang Juni 2017 für 8 Nächte dort. Zu Beginn wurden uns alle Informationen von Adrian übermittelt. Auch während des Aufenthaltes war der Vermieter immer per mail erreichbar. Der Ort Kippen ist klein aber mit allem was man fürs erste braucht. Eine Pub gleich neben an und gegenüber ein kleiner Supermarkt. Edinburgh, Glasgow oder die Highlands sind in ca. 45 Minuten mit dem Auto erreichbar. Aber auch Stirling mit seinem Castle sollte man sich ansehen. Das Cottage ist gemütlich und gut ausgestattet und so für 4 Personen völlig ausreichend. Wir haben hier tolle Tage verbracht und können die Unterkunft mit einer wirklich tollen Aussicht uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Many Thanks to Adrian und Jenny

Lovely accommodation and Good Location to explore Scotland.

My family of four stayed at this house for a week in FEB and it was great. The house is modern and really well equipped. Situated in the quite village of Kippen with good amenities close by in the village and the town of Sterling. It's an excellent base to explore the wonderful surroundings. We had very good communication with the owner when I booked and during our stay. I would defiantly recommend this accommodation, and will be back again. Nearby the walks and rural scenery are stunning. The pubs provide great food and atmosphere too. It's not far to visit Stirling, Glasgow or Edinburgh and trips to the hills and the highlands are also easily accessible. We love this place and hope you will too. The cottage has under floor heating throughout. High speed WiFi and a quality entertainment system. The cottage has views from every room over the Scottish Highlands.

Good Location to explore Scotland!

I stayed here for 2 nights with my partner and 2 young boys. The property itself is of a good size and is very well equipped. Personally we just used the property as a base as we had plans to see Scotland but would have happily spent more time at the cottage. The reason i have not given it 5 stars is because it didn't look like the floors had been cleaned prior to our arrival and also we found the dinnerware was dirty and had food stains on from previous users, this is just a minor problem and can easily be resolved by the owner by getting a better cleaner. Apart from that a lovely property finished to a high standard.

Wunderbares Familien-Ferienhaus

Ein liebevoll eingerichtetes, sehr gut vorbereitetes Haus mit großartigem Rundumblick über Dorf, weite Wiesen und Hügel bis zu den Bergen. Kippen hat schöne kleine Wanderungen und in der Nähe ein interessantes Moor zu bieten, und ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt, um in ca. 1 Stunde die großen Städte und in einer halben Stunde Burgen, Berge und Seen zu erreichen. Wir können das Haus jedem für einen erholsamen und gelungenen Urlaub empfehlen. Vielen Dank an Adrian und Jenny.

Fully equipped modern cottage

Excellent communication with the owners Adrian and Jenny from day of booking. The cottage itself is very modern and really well equipped. Situated in a quite village with lots of amenities at hand, it provides an excellent base to explore the wonderful surroundings. Definitely recommended!

Hello!! A bit about us... I'm (Jenny) Scottish and Adrian is English and Fraser joined us in 2012 - he is a Kiwi. We have been living between New Zealand and the UK since 2006 but currently we're living in the UK.

We love all things good in life particularly being on our bikes but also: sport, music, films, food, gardening, people.......

Meeting new friends either here or on our holidays has always been the best part of our trips, so come and visit our home.

Derfor er dette overnatningssted unikt

Stirling Castle, Bannockburn visitors centre and Wallace's Monument are both in Stirling which is an easy 20minute drive away. The Blairdrummond Safari Park is also less than 20minutes away (although the garden bird life and nearby red kites, osprey and curlew may do the trick!) Access to all the beauty of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park is also within 20-30 minutes drive (the hills can also be seen from the The Cottage windows and garden). Edinburgh and Glasgow can easily be travelled to by train from Stirling or else they're both only a 40-50 minute drive away. There are good local distilleries nearby and many good places to eat both in Kippen and other local villages. Boat trips on both Loch Lomond and Loch Katrine are excellent and there is a wealth of fantastic local history to be absorbed and experienced whilst in the Kippen area. It is said Rob Roy frequented the Kippen pub (The Cross Keys) when he was taking cattle to and from Stirling market. The Life of Brian was filmed partly at nearby Doune Castle and parts of the local area were used for locations for Outlander. If you're keen on hill walking, rambling, mountain biking, road cycling, canoeing, kayaking, open water swimming, fishing and generally being in beautiful outdoors scenery then you will very much be spoilt for choice. Kippen is a beautiful, friendly traditional Scottish village to be based in and the surrounding area has something for everyone.
