Komfortabelt sover op til 4 voksne og 2 børn med en queen size soveværelse, en fuld størrelse soveværelse og et soveværelse med en trille seng, der udvider til to enkeltsenge. Peach soveværelse er ud i køkkenet og opretter forbindelse til gule soveværelse og andet badeværelse. Maksimal belægning er 6 personer i enhver kombination af voksne og børn.

Åben grundplan fra køkken til stue og terrassedøre til stranden. Stort privat dæk med udsigt over Chesapeake Bay, grill, udendørs boblebad og to sit-on-top kajakker gør dette til den perfekte strand hot spot !!!

Perfect family vacation on the beach

Love the Bungalow!!! Virginia Beach Bums 2024

Tom & Cate made it a wonderful experience for our family vacation!!! Excellent communication and the home was well stocked. Only missing item was a pizza cutter, but we made due! The beach was relaxing and clean, we were able to see Dolphins, and we were super happy to be able to do our laundry as needed. I recommend bringing your own laundry detergent, as I’m allergic to what was provided. We will definitely be back!!! Loved every minute of our stay!!! Thanks again!!!

Great Location

The location of this property is absolutely phenomenal for families with young children. The beach is literally steps away from the house. We appreciated the added amenities of the kayaks for something different to do in the ocean as well as the shed full of beach chairs and toys. The crow’s nest was fun to use early in the morning or late in the evening when the temperature outside was cooler. The house itself worked well for our family’s needs, though it had a difficult time maintaining its temperature despite outside doors not being opened. It was a little challenging to wrangle our toddler into the shower (as the house has no tubs), but we were aware of this prior to our booking. The washing machine was huge which was super helpful for doing laundry mid-week. Also, we appreciated the lack of knick-knacks for decoration as they can be a problem with kids. For future renters: 1) the cabinets were well stocked with spices, 2) there are no extra blankets, 3) there is limited space in the bathrooms to store personal items, 4) the blinds do not block out sunlight completely.

Beach Bungalow

We had a great time. The weather was great and the water was cool and warm at some times so u can just jump right in. Tom and Catherine were awesome hosts. We didn't get to see Piglet but we did see the dolphins. Thanks again.

Beautiful Beach Bungalow

We had a wonderful time at this beach bungalow. The home was lovely with extra amenities provided. The area surrounding was equally lovely. The trek to the beach was hot hot hot but perfect!! The crows nest was probably one of our favorite parts of the bungalow. We saw dolphins every morning!! If we decide to come back to Norfolk we would definitely consider staying here again!!

Relaxing

The house was comfortable and clean and the owners were kind and accommodating. It was so nice being right on the beach and we had great views from the top deck. Location was close to the airport and local attractions. We were about 1/2 hour drive from Virginia Beach. Great place to relax on your own private beach.

Perfect retreat

This was our second stay at the Beach Bungalow, and we loved it even more! This time we saw the dolphins and had amazing weather every day. We also visited Busch Gardens and Virginia Beach and had great meals at Longboards just down the road. Outlet shopping is also a short 15 minute drive. Best part is always relaxing on the beach and watching the sun rise and set each day. Our kids enjoyed boogie boarding and Lodi sing crabs with their flashlights. After a long day in the sun, The bungalow was cool and cozy, and we loved how the kids had their own bathroom and wing of the house. This time we met the owner Tom who was very friendly and helped us have the best family vaca. We will definitely return!

A great relaxing getaway location!

We really enjoyed the Beach Bungalow during our stay. The property was clean and very well organized. It was exactly the way it is described and looks in the pictures. We only used the beach chairs and umbrellas, but there were many other pieces of beach equipment on hand. Our favorite part was the view from the Crow's Nest. It was very relaxing to sit up there every morning and evening taking it all in! The location was great as it was a nice central location between the areas we went to from Virginia Beach to Williamsburg. My wife just adored the cat, Piglet, and watched for him every morning to feed him. Piglet is so sweet and is very comfortable around people. He would follow us up to the Crow's Nest and sprawl out on the deck at our feet. We had no problems during out stay, but it was reassuring to know that the owners, Cate & Tom, were just a phone call away. We would highly recommend the Beach Bungalow to anyone looking for a place in this area to relax, unwind, and spent time at the beach!

Perfection!

What a beautiful beach bungalow right on the beach! Perfect get away location from the hustle and bustle of every day life. The beach is right out the door and so peaceful. Dolphin watching from the crows nest was my favorite way to enjoy my morning coffee. Bungalow was well equipped. Couldn’t have been any better!

Relaxing getaway!!

We had a wonderful stay at the beach Bungalow this week! The house was so nice, clean and had everything that we needed for our stay. Our favorite part was having the private beach access , which was especially nice and convenient with our little ones. Tom and Cate were great, and were quick to respond to any questions that we had. Thank you for a great time, and we hope to return for another stay in the future!

A wonderful beachside getaway

The beach bungalow was clean, well managed, and had everything we needed for our stay. The beach was just a few steps away, and we were able to utilize the chairs, beach toys, and kayaks that the owners provided for us. Everything was neatly organized for us upon our arrival including a book with suggestions of places to eat and activities to do during our stay. The friendly house cat Piglett was a joy to spend our mornings with while we had our morning coffee in the crows nest. Would definitely recommend!

The "great" and The "could have been better for us"...

The great: * Location - quiet, easy and short walk to beautiful empty beach * Nice, clean house which was well-appointed with cooking and beach items * Washer and dryer were great * Parking was easy and convenient * Ice maker easily kept up with demand * Loved the dolphins The "could have been better for us": * Cameras - installed in front of house (common and understandable), but also off the back of house which made our teenage girls uncomfortable walking to and from the beach in their bikinis knowing they were being recorded. Creeped them out and we hardly used the back deck to hang out on feeling we were always being watched and listened to. * Beds were not comfortable * Pillows were lacking in number and very flat - we ended up purchasing our own halfway through the week * After departure, we were charged $150 to replace 5(!) complete sets of towels because daughter accidentally used a white washcloth to wipe her non-waterproof mascara on instead of the black washcloth she was supposed to. We don't have a problem at home getting washcloths clean... This was something we have never experienced in the dozens of hotels, rentals from other companies and vrbo's we have stayed in over the years...

Relaxing Week at the Beach

Our favorite spot was sitting up on the deck at night watching for dolphins and ships in the bay. We spend mornings on the beach relaxing and fishing (caught spots, white perch and flounder). Piglet was bonus, he's a sweet cat that came around for food and company. This place is quiet for being on a busy road. It's an ride around Norfolk and to Virginia Beach. We recommend Watermans for the Crab Ripper sandwich and an orange crush.

Nice and peaceful

Property has everything you need. Owners answer questions quickly and are very friendly to deal with. Its almost like having a private beach.

Nice stay

You can’t beat these views from the crows nest and the easy and private beach access! The beach is calm and relaxing. Hosts were lovely. The bungalow is nice and quaint and as described — the kitchen was especially nice. Extra large washer and dryer were great to have during the week. Beach cat Piglet is adorable. Our only complaint is the mattresses, particularly in the green room and peach room were not very comfortable. Otherwise this place was wonderful.

Great place for family stay

Great little place, clean, great location, close to the beach. We stayed at the end of June, beach wasnt busy and was clean. We would definitely stay again. Great company of Piglet the cat :)

Everything we needed!

The Beach Bungalow exceeded our expectations! Our kids said it was their best vacation ever, and they are now in love with the ocean. We couldn’t ask for more! I miss my kids filling my pockets with beach treasures. My daughter and I each found a shark tooth! Our nightly crab hunts were also a lot of fun. The water was mostly calm with mild waves for boogie boarding and kayaking. Piglet the cat greeted us each morning and even joined us on the beach one evening. He helped our house feel like a home. We loved coming back to our cozy cottage after visiting the aquarium, the outlet mall, IFLY and the VA Beach boardwalk. We enjoyed dinners at the local Stony’s and Captain Groovy’s and did our grocery shopping at Food Lion. Very conveniently located! It was the perfect family vacation!

A week at the Bungalow!

We had a wonderful stay at the Beach Bungalow! The location can’t be beat. We loved being steps from the beach. We saw many dolphins and crabs. Piglet was a joy and never failed to remind us of dinner time. We didn’t do much cooking but the kitchen seemed to be well stocked with everything. Had a little issue with the A/C and Tom took care of it immediately! Would definitely stay here again!

Beach Bungalow Fun

Cate and Tom were amazing hosts. They were quick to respond to any messages and helped out several times. They were very kind and followed up to ensure we had a good time. The bungalow is beautifully situated on the beach with a little path. We loved getting to use the Kayaks and the beach shed was well stocked. I wished we could have gotten to use the fire pit, but the weather decided to be cold and wet most of the trip. The house is very intimate and reminded me of my childhood home with the lay out. I was disappointed that the piano and writing desk weren't available for use, but the hot tub more than made up in its size and heat. Of course the star of the trip was Piglet! He immediately greeted us when we arrived and we delighted in putting some weight on him. I loved going out on the deck and for him to follow me so we could watch the water together.

Private Beach-Peaceful

Property is well taken care of. After a long day we enjoyed the iJoy chair for a massage, then the hot tub to top that off. Tom and Cate were very nice. View from the Crow's Nest is the perfect spot for waking with morning coffee.
