Duplex bygget på den naturlige klippe Salobreña, og som er beliggende i et roligt cul-de-sac blandt spanske naboer. Det kombinerer moderne komfort og design med lokale, rustikke karakter. 1. sal: rummelig åbent køkken og opholdsstue, stort indbygget sofa, spisebord, og en lille terrasse perfekt til Alfresco spisning. Den oprindelige stenmur er en pryd af ejendommen, og den har en lysdæmper til hyggelige aftener. 2. sal: to rolige soveværelser med komfortable senge har udsigt til en smal fodgænger gyde, en skifer flisebadeværelse med stort badekar og bryggers. East orientering (ingen Poniente vind) sikre ro, kølige nætter. Bliver bygget på skråningen af bjerget har den overraskende virkning, at en meget behagelig temperatur både sommer og vinter. Bil adgang til den forreste dør, masser af parkeringspladser til rådighed. Ingen trafik støj. Sikkert for børn. Lokale supermarked er beliggende i yards. WiFi, Ipod dæk, 46 'TV, bøger, spil. 10 min gang til stranden.

Fantastic Old Town Apartment

We stayed 40 nights in Jorge's apartment and used it as a base for exploring the Costa Tropical and Andalusia. It was perfect and we feel we made a great choice. Well-appointed premises with easy access to everything (cautionary note - it is a climb of 160 steps from the bottom to the street where the apartment is located so a reasonable measure of fitness is handy!). Jorge is a pleasant and attentive host with excellent communication. Any at site questions were quickly attended to by the manager/contact Lidia. Thanks Jorge for hosting our excellent stay!

Lovely well-designed townhome

Enjoyed my week stay at this well-designed town house. Nice bathrooms,well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. Easy communication. It was a little tough to initially find, but worth it.

Very comfortable, and just as pictured.

We stayed for about six weeks at Jorge place. I very much appreciated the weekly sheet and towel changes as well as the cleaning that came with this property. His manager Lidia was fantastic. This was a great location for taking a lot of overnight trips to less known towns with so much fantastic history. I agree with an earlier review it’s a little tricky, finding the place but once you you get it down, it’s pretty straightforward. Parking was available for roughly 95% of our trip. Sometimes we had to park down in town and walk up the hill but it was a minor inconvenience.

Our week in Salabreňa

Jorge's house is lovely! What you see in the photographs is exactly what you get. Very pretty and super functional. Fab kitchen though it would have been nice too have had a small store of essentials like salt, pepper, olive oil etc as if you even want to cook the simplest meal you have to buy everything from scratch. We left everything we bought, hopefully for the next people to make use of. The area is great! The beach is delightful, with great beach shops and restaurants. A warning though, the approach from lower town to the house is steep and the stairs down to the beach road are many, I managed it even though I'm in my 70's but be warned, it's not for the infirm. The view of the sea and the mountains from the balcony is an extra bonus. The beds are comfortable and the linen good, pillows rather solid though and the beds weren't made up when we got there but we soon discovered the duvets in the wardrobes. Do take the no 2 bus from the end of the road up to the castle, it's well worth it for the views alone and very interesting history. On your way back down check into Eno's lovely little studio, you can't miss it and tell him we said hi. Suze and Fen

Fantastic winter break

The property was just as described by Jorge. We loved the location, and the challenge of the 165 step, but please note, it's easy to catch the little bus which runs every half hour. The bed was so comfortable, we both had wonderful nights sleep. We enjoyed the big tele, the fantastic shower and the ambience of the house. It was a pleasure returning there after our explorations. The heating was efficient, and we were always cosy and warm. We were there for a month, and I could have spent another month there. I think that says it all!

A fabulously stylish but extremely comfortable apartment. In a great location.

We stayed here for the 1st week in January and have been so happy with the location and ease and comfort if the apartment. Fell in love with the styling and lovely touches in the furnishings and the fab lighting collection. The bed was really comfy and the shower and bathroom so easy and spacious. The location was perfect for beach walks and great access to motorways to explore inland. Was great to be here during the 3 Kings bank holiday and the place was buzzing with soanish families all out to lunch along the many gorgeous restaurants around the beach area. Coming in January Salobrena had a really Spanish feel without all the tourists and we hardly heard an english speaking voice, which we loved and gave us chance to work on our spanish. We had great weather, gorgeous warm sunshine perfect for walking around in. Chilly at night but the lounge and that amazing sofa was perfect for cosying up beneath a blanket and reading. The huge TV was a bonus and we enjoyed you tubeing music on it. We loved the beautiful quiet village of Niguelas just off the motorway near Durcal and the views frim Pinos de Valle were stunning. An amazing week, thank you Jorge.

Super recommended

This apartment seems to be taken out of a magazine. Everything from the structure to the design and small details. Attentive host. The apartment is obviously up a steep road, as is the whole old town, but it is relatively close to the bottom part of town and to the beach. Do note that there are 2 flights of stairs (we were there with a baby and it didn't bother us). And while you're here, do go to Restaurante La Roka - absolutely beautiful spot with unmatched food for very reasonable price.

Wonderful!

Fabulous property, Jorge has thought of everything to make sure clients have an enjoyable stay in his lovely home. Comfortable beds, linens, towels, and a superb bathroom, the shower is amazing! Salobrena is a lovely old town and the beach is easy to get to, this is by far the best property we have stayed in.

Jorge's Casa

We felt comfortable in Jorge's casa from the moment we arrived. It was clean, comfortable, spacious and tastefully decorated. The attention to detail is impressive. A lot of thought has gone into making guests' stay a success. The communication with the owner was very good. Situated in a quiet area of the old town it is ideal for both town and beach. The only possible negative is that there are two lots of stairs in the property and a lot stairs in the general area so it may not be suitable for people who have mobility problems. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning in the future.

Auf halber Höhe am Gels von Salobrena gelegen. Geschmackvoll eingerichtet mit liebevollen Details: Kaffee, Obst, Kekse, etwas Brot, Butter, Käse und Schinken im Kühlschrank ; moderner grosser TV, Waschmaschine, Spülmaschine. Zu Fuß über Treppen in wenigen Minuten am Meer.

Charming house, charming place.

We enjoyed our stay at Jorges Casa. The apartment has all you need, from the well equipped kitchen to the bedrooms with extra cushions. Bathroom is spacious. All was very clean and in place when we arrived. The Old town in Salobrena is very charming, and its a short walk from the apartment down to the town center and the beach. Our communication with Jorge was very good, and he also provided extra service for us due to allergies. We are very satisfied with our stay and the process of renting via Jorge and HomeAway.

Sehr schöner Urlaub in Salobrena

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in dieser komplett und hochwertig eingerichteten Wohnung in Salobrena. Alles war so wie in der Anzeige beschrieben und die Übergabe am Anreisetag durch Ivan lief völlig problemlos. Einziges Problem: Die Straßenbiegung vor der Wohnung wurde während unseres Aufenthalts neu gepflastert und war somit komplett gesperrt. Wir konnten deshalb nicht mit dem Auto in der Straße vor der Wohnung parken. Die Baustelle bestand sicherlich schon einige Tagen (Wochen?) vor unserer Ankunft - und es wird wahrscheinlich noch einige Zeit dauern, bis dieser Teil der Straße wieder befahrbar sein wird. Darüber hätte man uns vorher informieren können, hat es aber nicht getan. Schade. So gibt's einen Punkt Abzug.

Amazing!

Love this home! We spent a few days in November and loved it so much that we returned for 2 weeks in January. The home is exactly as listed; beautiful, comfortable and in a perfect area of Salobrena. Jorge and Ivan took such great care of us, even providing bottled water, fruits, juice, bread, coffee etc. upon arrival. The home is immaculate and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. The living room has a huge gorgeous sectional perfect for reading or being lazy and relaxing after enjoying a day exploring the town. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are super comfortable, and one of the nicest bathrooms I have ever seen in Spain. I would highly recommend this property to anyone. It has all the comforts of a modern home but still has the charm of a Spanish villa.

Wonderful apartment with sea view in the old town of Salobreña

We stayed in Jorge's nice apartment for a week in late October and had a wonderful time. Once we managed to find the way through the very narrow streets of Salobreña's old town (watch the video that Jorge provided in advance, then it won't be a problem), Ivan welcomed us warmly at the apartment and showed us everything. The cosy apartment which is arranged over two floors was perfect for us. We enjoyed our breakfast every morning on the sunny balcony and loved to cook lunch or dinner in the fully equipped kitchen. The beach was just a short stroll away and we were there pretty much every day. On the way back you have to climb many stairs to return to the apartment, but you get used to it after a couple of days. The owner Jorge provided us with many useful tips for restaurants - we tried Pesetas for original Paella and La botica for a lovely fried fish plate and had traditional Sangria at La Bahia after our beach days. During our stay we made a trip to Granada which is only a one hour drive away and visited the beautiful Alhambra. We fully enjoyed our vacation in Jorge's apartment and liked Salobreña as our holiday home.

Great apartment and location

We loved the place. It was comfortable and well appointed. It had everything one could hope for. The walk down to the beach at first looked a little daunting but we didn’t have a problem with it. Solabrena is a small town but the surrounding area was a short drive away.

Very comfortable and well located

A comfortable, well equipped, and located apartment. The kitchen was great for cooking. Nice, open living space for dining and relaxing on the sofas. We really appreciated the welcome basket of fruit and food in the fridge. WiFi was strong. The balcony terrace was a good place for relaxing.

Lovely, well equipped flat in old part of town of Salobrena

We loved this flat and Salobrena, and spend some very nice days there. The flat is well-equipped und has a beautiful decor. We even got some food (e.g. fruits) upon arrival. Parking might be a bit difficult, and we usually parked in the beach area.. its an easy way up to the old part of town where the flat is located (10 min). We visited Granada (45 min by car) which was also great. Thanks Jorge!

Modern eingerichtete Ferienwohnung in der Altstadt

Sehr schön eingerichtete und gut ausgestattete Ferienwohnung in der Altstadt, trotzdem ruhig gelegen. Auf dem Balkon hat man morgens Sonne und man kann das Meer sehen. Außerdem ein sehr engagierter Gastgeber, alles wunderbar.

Stilvolles Altstadtdomizil

Wir verbrachten leider nur 5 Tage in diesem sehr gemütlichen, stilvoll eingerichteten Altstadthaus, in dem für uns 4 erwachsene Personen alles perfekt war. Der Wohnraum mit großzügiger Sitzecke, großem Essbereich und integrierter Küche hat uns sehr gefallen. Die Schlafzimmer sind mit guten Betten ausgestattet und liegen zur ruhigen autofreien Gasse, das sorgte für guten Schlaf. Bad und extra Toilette waren groß und gut. Besonders gefallen hat uns, dass es an nichts fehlte und alles eine Wohlfühlatmosphäre ausstrahlte. Besonders nett war das "Willkommenspaket" mit allem, was man für eine wunderbare erste Mahlzeit benötigte, sogar mit frischen Brötchen, Obst und Tomaten! Auch der Ort Salobrena ist schön mit seiner Burg, der Altstadt, den Restaurants und Läden, seinem Strand und dem vorgelagerten Felsen. Es ist auch ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Fahrten nach Granada, Malaga, Ronda oder ins Gebirge. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Ein ganz herzliches Dankeschön an Jorge, den Vermieter, der auch mit seinen ausführlichen Beschreibungen uns z. B. die Anfahrt erleichtert hat und Probleme gar nicht erst entstehen ließ!

Schöne Wohnung in einem lebendigen Dorf

Dear Jorge, we had a very good stay at your appartment and a good time in Salobrena. We had a wonderful wheather (much better than here in germany) and nice trips in the surrounding. Some of the restaurants were closed, but this is the risk, travelling in february. So we cooked by ourself with the wonderful products (fresh fish, tropical fruits) from the local market. The flat is perfect, fully equipped and very stylish. We slept very well. We liked to stay in a normal village, not in a area only for touristists. Hope to come again!

I am a Spanish national living between London and Spain. I take great care to keep my property in Salobrena in top condition, spending time decorating it in an unfussy, elegant style, using natural, high quality materials and furnishings. When I am back in Andalusia I like to soak up the atmosphere of the town, walking the streets, talking to people and appreciating the little things that make life enjoyable. When I am at home, I like to relax in comfortable spaces that are uncluttered and authentic. I want my guests to feel the same when they stay in Salobrena. I have a local housekeeper who takes care of keys, cleaning and solving any problems on the spot. I am also always available. When I am not working or thinking about how to improve my property, I am doing yoga, open water swimming, listening to flamenco and looking for furniture with character! I hope some of my personality comes through in my home.

In 2004 I found a townhouse built in the 60s with lots of charm and potential. I liked the open space and the way it was laid out, with the living/cooking and sleeping areas on two separate floors. Now I am enjoying renovating and decorating it to create a comfortable, spacious and stylish holiday home.

Comfortable & bright, it is only a 10 minute walk to the beach and a 50 minute drive to the motorway to Granada and Malaga. Clean, tidy & crisp, it is a place where you can really feel at home. The property always has an ideal indoor temperature, which can be controlled with the HVAC units. Salobrena itself is a small town with a picturesque old town where the property is located. Salobrena is lively all year round, not just during the summer months. The Costa Tropical is much less well known than the Costa del Sol, there are many coastal and mountain towns, coves and beaches to discover.
