Gentle Winds, St. Croix, U.S.V.I. - come unwind!

Our condo is located at Gentle Winds, a 65 unit development located on the North Shore of St. Croix. Gentle Winds is built on 66 acres of ocean front property with spectacular views from all units. The popular dive spot named West Wall is located just off the front beach where two dive boats can be seen anchoring for their guests to enjoy their mid morning or mid afternoon dives. We are within a 5 minute walk, under 1/4 mile, to the Salt River Marina.

The beachfront has a beautiful sandy beach with palm trees and plenty of lounge chairs to pull into the sun or pull under a palm lined cabana for some shade. There is a roped off section for swimming - take your mask and snorkel to discover some colorful local coral fish.

The Beach Shack serves a delicious burger and lentil salad which I highly recommend while you are enjoying your rum drink or iced cold beer.

If you want some activity on the property before relaxing ocean side, try a game of tennis, a (short) round of golf, ping pong or Shuffleboard. Or go into town to compete with one of the local crab races to win prizes!

This property is well maintained - see if you can find the man trimming the coconut palms and kindly ask if he would pull out his machete to serve up some fresh fresh fresh coconut milk. (( nice to offer a tip for his troubles...))

Our condo has all of the island amenities : refrigerator/ stove / microwave / washer dryer / Wifi / INDUSTRIAL ICE MAKER and flat screen t.v.... so come on to the island and relax for a week or two! Gentle Winds is the best place on the island for families. We were returning guests to the complex, first time to this particular unit. Everything was great! We especially enjoyed the view of the pool and the ocean.

We came to Gentle Winds with our daughters and their families. The grandkids are already planning (and hoping) for a trip back! The couple no was very well equipped for a young family. We would rent it again

Great family vacation

The owner of this property was so helpful and made great recommendations for places to eat, things to do and places to visit! Our family of 7 had plenty of room in this condo and we loved the pool and beach and on site food shack. St. Croix has some of the prettiest water we have ever seen.

Great Stay in St Croix

Wonderful time in St. Croix. Enjoyed pool side and beach. Great food and drinks at the pool. Everyone was very friendly. Property amazing and the beds were so comfortable. Everything we needed was right there.

Great condo for relaxing island vacation

This is our 3rd stay at the property and were so happy to come back. The place is stocked with all the essentials, the property manager is very friendly and welcoming on our arrival. Love that the pool and beach is a quick little walk away. Gentle awinds is simply lovely.

Terrific location!

Gentle Winds in St. Croix is an absolutely beautiful property and the owners of this unit could not have Ben nicer or more accommodating. The unit itself has everything a family needs to enjoy the area and was very clean.

Lovely spot

We enjoyed our stay at Gentle Winds, which is the best property on St Croix in my opinion. The condo had three bedrooms, which was fantastic for our group. We loved the beach and the pool and the grounds are well cared for. We have stayed at Gentle Winds three times now and every time it's been great.

Great vacation setting

Very calm and relaxing. Beautiful beach and pool within short walking distance from our condo. Location of condo's were convenient to everywhere on the island. Our family of eight had a wonderful, memorable vacation. Would definitely recommend this setting for anyone looking for a great getaway.

A wonderful relaxing vacation

Gentle Winds is a beautiful relaxing vacation site with a charming beach bar, pool, and amazing views from the Condo. Condo L2 had everything we needed and the artwork and decor were lovely. Highly recommend.

So nice, we came back twice

Our second visit in 2 years. Lovely condo with great views. Property is very well maintained and we were happy to see that the poolside grill is back up and running after hurricane destroyed in 2017.

Wonderful townhome and location

Our family had a great week at Gentle Winds in the last week of June 2022. The townhome was well stocked with just about anything you could need on vacation... board games, towels, beer coozies, etc. The Gentle Winds property could not be a better place to have a fun / relaxing family vacation. The facilities are great, the pool was right by the beach and there was also a fantastic patio bar / restaurant that served delicious food and pool drinks every afternoon.

3rd time at Gentle Winds

Our stay was wonderful! The condo was super clean and we loved all the amenities. We enjoyed playing the games there and reading some good books. Our deck had a beautiful view of the pool. Both our owner and the manager were very communicative and helpful. The air conditioning was top notch. Thanks for having us!

Could Not Have Gone Better

We don't know whether late August was off season or the week after Ernesto kept people away but we had the place to ourselves. Nice pool, bar/lunch shack, empty beach and a clean condo - all was wonderful. Scuba dived and snorkeled the entire week. We stayed a few nights at the Carambola resort but the condo was much cleaner and more relaxing. Highly recommend!

St Croix Vacation

Wonderful vacation on the beach! Fun in the sun, swimming and snorkeling. Very friendly atmosphere on a great property. Also very nice tennis and pickleball courts. Played pickleball every morning. Great way to start the day. Close proximity to great beaches. Fabulous week on the beach!!

Wonderful

The condo at gentle winds had everything to make our stay wonderful. Pam went out of her way to make sure we would have a great stay. Her things to do list is amazing and we checked several items off the list during our stay. St croix and gentle winds is a wonderful combination of complete relaxation and adventure / activities. We are already planning our trip back!

Beautiful

This property is well maintained everything is just perfect can't wait to go back again next year kids had fun in this clean Immaculate pool the beach is beautiful and Sylvia is great the ice machine makes the stay so much more comfortable being able to fill up the cooler and make drinks makes such a big difference.

Perfect Vacation

Loved our stay in St Croix at Gentle Winds. 7 of us stayed in L2 condo. Plenty of room for all, it was clean, stocked with beach towels, pool supplies etc. The owner Pam was prompt in answering all questions and had great suggestions to make the most of our week long vacation. Would return to this condo in a heartbeat. Thanks Pam!

My husband has been traveling with his family to St. Croix for 30+ years. We purchased this condo from his parents in January 2015. It had not previously been in the rental market - only owner occupied. We intend to rent for about half of the year and enjoy it for ourselves for the remaining time frame.

Derfor valgte værten dette overnatningssted

We love the Virgin Islands and the gorgeous blue waters of the Caribbean. There are so many water activities to enjoy: world class diving spots / snorkeling at Buck Island ( a National Underwater Park) / sailing / fishing .. all activities that we find relaxing... and it is a direct flight from Atlanta with only a 3.5 hour flying time.

Derfor er dette overnatningssted unikt

We like telling our guests to check out these activites while they are 'on island' : take one of two Rum tours at Cruzan Rum and/or Captain Morgan; see the Beer Drinking pig; drive through the the Rain forest; take an Eco tour; enjoy a tour of the 2 beautifully historic port towns: Christiansted and Frederiksted; Explore Buck Island National Reef by sailing, motor boat, and snorkeling excursions.(( Pam rates this as awesome! Book w/ Captain Heinz ; Kayak through Salt River Ecological Preserve. Pam recommends the Moonlight bioluminescent tour !! ; Take the kids horseback riding in the tropical rain forest ; Get a bird's eye view of beautiful St. Croix with a flight-seeing tour ; Beaches, Beaches, Beaches; sail on Roseway if she is in port ( a national historic landmark schooner)
