The house was beautiful, the weather, not so much.

being on the edge of the wildlife preserve was nice. Close to the beach was wonderful. A little heat in the morning in the bathroom would have been nice. Need more seating in the living room.

Thank you for staying with us while visiting for a graduation event. I am sorry the weather did not cooperate - wish we could control that. As discussed over the phone, we strive for 5 stars. The home offers radiant heat and does take time to warm the floors on a chilly day in a month you typically don't need heat. Also we provide photos of the living area and rooms to showcase the furniture and seating arraignments prior to visiting. We appreciate you feedback.

Beautiful Home!

Our family had an idyllic week at 117 Sand Hill Cove Rd. This gorgeous, spacious, well-equipped house had everything you might want for the perfect vacation. The large kitchen and Webber gas grill are great for cooking. It is maintained in exceptional condition and sits in the perfect location for beaching, fishing, trips to Block Island and of course, Iggy's. The agent, John, is always available and responsive. We loved relaxing on the the rear deck overlooking the preserve, where there was always interesting wildlife to observe, including ospreys, egrets, deer and shorebirds. Our hope is to return next year for another enjoyable stay at this incredible house.

Disappointed

Not nearly enough seating in family room, second floor bedroom did not have room Darkening blinds and it was way too bright way too early, king size master bedroom Should be on 2ndl floor with balconies, small bedroom downstairs was ridiculously cramped

Great property

Really nice house just a short walk to Roger wheeler state beach. Really enjoyed watching the osprey from the back deck in the bird sanctuary.

Perfect beach house vacation

My wife and our two teen children rented this home for a week and it was just what we hoped. It was incredibly clean, was in a great location (literally 2-3 minutes walk to Roger Wheeler Beach) and was conveniently located close to multiple restaurants and places to shop. Everything was high end and well taken care of. The three separate bedrooms each had their own full bath which was great and there was room to sleep more than the four of us needed. There is a beautiful view off the back deck so it feels very private, which can be rare so close to the ocean. We dealt with John who was friendly, informative and responsive. Chris is the owner and it is clear that quality and comfort are important. Great trip, great home and we had a fantastic time!

We loved the house and location! John was very responsive to all of our questions and needs. The location was really pretty with the bird sanctuary in the back yard. Easy access to beach and kitchen has all you need to cook! Highly recommend!

Excellent First Timers

Our family and grandson had a great first time experience using VRBO and finding this nice house. It is conveniently situated fourth house on the right from the end of Roger Wheeler Beach parking lot; and about 0.7 miles (12 minutes leisurely walk) to Galilee for restaurants, ice cream shops, fresh seafood markets, ferry to Block Island. Roger Wheeler beach is unique for the fine sand, easy to walk bare foot due it's not full of stones and seashells, and about half mile out there are breaker walls (large stone walls) that protect the fishing and ferry boats to Block Island as well as giving gentle small waves that were friendly to my grandson. Behind the house is a bird sanctuary where from the kitchen patio deck we saw deer early and late afternoons, rabbits, egrets. The kitchen has ample cabinets full of amenities, utensils, pots/pans, toaster, Keurig, Viking refrigerator,dishwasher,stove top with side vent, and patio has a three burner Weber grill. Outside shower was convenient when returning from the beach, and side entrance area where we kept all our shoes had two beach umbrellas and 6 beach chairs, various wake boards, kids beach sand toys. Galilee area restaurants don't take reservations but if there by 5:00pm during weekdays, usually no wait. Reservations are a must for the Narragansett area restaurants that takes reservations. There are fresh fish/lobster stores in Galilee that sell locally made delicious hard Smoked Salmon, whose meat is firm---I enjoyed the Peppered type. I The host John Harrison and maintenance John McDuff (Chris's dad) were very accommodating. Thank You for making our vacation memorable...The Tatsunos, CT.

Great location & house

House was clean, beautiful and well-cared for. Great deck in the back for lunches. Enjoyed the bird sanctuary view as much as the beach. Amazing location: super short walk to the beach and short drives to ice cream and food. Additional amenities not listed were available for use. :)

Excellent!

I just didn't want to leave. John's home is just that... a home. The property was well thought out, built beautifully and so well supplied we hardly needed to buy anything. The walk to the beach was less than 2 minutes, and the beach was beyond gorgeous. I am dreaming about next summer!

Beautiful house, convenient location

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our 2-week stay this summer. The house is beautiful, and beach access is just across the street. The property abuts a bird sanctuary; the views of the salt marsh are lovely. The property manager was thorough and prompt in all correspondence.

Spectacular home in the middle of it all!

This is the 4th year in a row we have stayed at this property and we couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else in Narragansett. Breathtaking views out of the back of the house over the preserve, and ocean views out the front. Wonderfully appointed home and truly unique. Perfect location, beautiful home.

Such a beautiful home. The layout was really ideal for our family with bedrooms on three floors. Comfortable and spacious but homey. The location was perfect, just a quick walk to the beach and a short distance to the ferry and restaurants. I hope we get to stay there again!

What a home!

Spectacular views from any one of the 7 decks...yes it has 7 decks. Well appointed and super close to the beach. We just walked almost across the street and within 5 minutes were at the beach. So easy to walk back to the house for lunch also so we didn’t need to pack much for an awesome beach day. The house is very well appointed with all the modern conveniences. Can’t wait to book our vacation for next year!

Gorgeous home in perfect location for young family!

We just returned from our 3rd annual stay at this property and it continues to be our favorite week of the year! The house itself is beautiful and has everything we could need, including gorgeous views and great amenities. The very short walk to the beach is perfect for our young children, and we also love the short walk into town to explore the restaurants and shops. The property owner John has been great to work with over the years, so helpful and responsive. Hopefully we will be back for a 4th visit in 2018!

Amazing house and location

This house has it all. Beautiful ambiance, ocean views out the front and protected wet lands out the back. The house is impeccably maintained and the owners spared no expense on furnishings and decor. We can't wait to come back next year!

Even better in in person.....

This house was built with over the top detailing. You have everything you need to cook, beach and enjoy a great vacation. in just 4 minutes of walking you are standing on the sand of the beach. Our 2 weeks went buy so fast it seemed like only a week, that's how great it was.....and I am traveling 6-8 times a year and at the BEST places. This place is worth every penny.

Absolutely beautiful house. A+ location. Less than 2 min walk to the beach!!

Great location for families as the beach is so close. The house is great for being together but having privacy in separate spaced out rooms. The nature land in the back was amazing . Saw deer, all types of birds and even a coyote looking for breakfast one morning. We have stayed in a lot of vacation rentals in new England and the south and this one was clean. Not a spec of dust. The owners/management were extremely attentive, answered all of our question prior to arriving extremely quickly, and checked in on us to make sure everything was ok. What a great Rhode Island beach house .
