Fabulous house! Loved the layout - lots of space for privacy but also so much communal space. The outdoor amenities were great - beautiful pool,hot-tub and outdoor BBQ area. We left our kids at home, but appreciated all the games and toys - they would have loved it!! Kitchen was well stocked. Host was very communicative and welcoming.

This place was amazing! Exactly how it was described. So much room. We had a group of 9 adults staying there and at no point did it feel like we were all on top of each other. Would definitely stay again in a heart beat

This property was absolutely incredible and truly made our weekend feel extra special! The backyard alone is a dream, beautiful, spacious, and filled with so many different places to gather, eat, relax, and spend time together. The pool was lovely, the hot tub was a huge hit, and there was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and feel comfortable.Inside was just as impressive. The beds were all comfortable, the bathrooms were clean and well maintained, and the kitchen and living spaces were top-notch. We also had a blast in the game room!We came with a group to celebrate a milestone birthday weekend, and the house gave us the perfect mix of “five-star getaway” and “make yourself at home.” There was truly something for everyone, and it was the kind of property that made us want to stay put and enjoy every corner of it. An amazing home for gathering, celebrating, relaxing, and making some pretty fantastic memories!

We had an amazing stay at this home in Glen Ellen! The location was perfect — we could easily walk into town, which made everything so convenient. Mike was an excellent host with great communication and an easy check-in process from start to finish. The property and grounds were absolutely beautiful and made our trip feel so special. We had 10 people in our group and the house worked out wonderfully for everyone. Would 10/10 recommend and would absolutely stay here again!

The house was as stated we were a family of 10 the rooms were well spaced the bedrooms with en suite bathrooms were excellent the kitchen was designed properly we had a chef come in and do a dinner for us a sit down for 10 the dining room sitted us with plenty of room the hot tub was 104 degrees and comfortable in the cool napa nights game room was used and enjoyed no issues we would recommend this property

Family get-away

Great property in quiet but accessible area. Lots to do right at/inside the house. Family meals, games, conversations, wine tasting. All excellent!

Great property!

The stay was perfect. Huge property with hot tub, pool, game room…even had a tree house! The inside was spacious with plenty of room for us to spread out comfortably. Walking distance to Glen Ellen, so it was easy for meals, coffee, and groceries. Will definitely stay here again!

What an amazing house and stay! Highly recommend it for large parties. The house was very comfortable for my family of 10, and the pool, hot tub, and game room provided the perfect entertainment. Brian was also an incredible host, meeting us when we arrived to provide a helpful tour of the property. The property is very private and quiet, but also convenient to Sonoma Square and downtown Glen Ellen. Would love to come back in the future!

Wonderful location and accommodations for a group

The house has a wonderful location close to vineyards. We so enjoyed the hot tub and pool after a day of wine tasting. We celebrated my friend’s 40th birthday and everyone throughly enjoyed the spacious accommodations and amenities the property has to offer. The property is a perfect mix of tranquility with the Japanese maple trees blended with activities (pool, hot tub and game room). We’d stay again in a heartbeat.

This property was exactly as portrayed/described. We were a party of 9 friends & "framily" - comfy bedrooms, wonderful bathrooms, and common spaces to accommodate us all. Outdoor amenities (pool, hot tub, outdoor kitchen) were clean and spacious. Kitchen was well furnished. Property host was "on it" with easy instructions, great suggestions, and immediately responses to questions. We highly recommend this property and its central location to both wine country and the Sonoma coast.

Outstanding Property

The house is a really cool stone and wood structure built by the owner with many amenities. It also in a great location with many vineyards/tasting rooms & restaurants close by in Glen Ellen but also easy to get to the whole Napa valley to explore others. The host was very friendly and also very responsive to a minor issue we had. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property.

Great house!

The house was spacious, clean and in a perfect location for exploring both Sonoma and Napa. We had 4 couples, and there was plenty of room for everyone to have their own bedroom/bathroom, and there are great common areas where we could hang out with one another to eat and unwind. Everything was very clean and convenient. Brian lives nearby and was easy to communicate with, so check-in and check-out was seamless. I will definitely stay here again when visiting wine country.

We had a wonderful stay at this home. It was the perfect size for our group of five friends for a weekend getaway, and it could easily accommodate a much larger group comfortably. The layout offers great shared gathering spaces while still allowing everyone to have their own space to relax. The hot tub was clean, hot, and fully functional, which was perfect for unwinding after a full day of wine tasting. The location was also excellent, with easy access to markets, restaurants, and tasting rooms nearby. The drive into Napa is a bit windy, but it is absolutely worth it for the scenery and convenience to wine country. The beds were slightly softer than our personal preference, but the linens were very comfortable and exceptionally clean. The host was fantastic, meeting us at the property, providing a thorough tour, and remaining available by text for any questions during our stay. This home would be ideal for families, gatherings with multiple generations, or groups of friends who want to spend quality time together while still having privacy when needed. We would absolutely stay here again!

Perfect Stay!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Glen Ellen Stone Retreat in Glen Ellen and it was truly a wonderful experience. The views from the property are simply breathtaking, offering a serene and peaceful atmosphere for a perfect getaway. The proximity to amazing restaurants in the area made dining out a delightful experience. I was also impressed by how easy the booking process was through VRBO. The seamless and user-friendly platform made it a breeze to secure my reservation. The property itself was well-maintained and offered all the amenities for a comfortable stay. Overall, I highly recommend Stone Retreat for anyone looking for a tranquil retreat with stunning views, excellent dining options nearby, and a hassle-free booking process. It truly exceeded my expectations and I can't wait to return.

Great Place for Famlies

This is a really nice property located in the sleepy town of Glen Ellen. There were 9 adults in our party - 2 families - and there was plenty of room for us all to spread out. The outdoor pool, game room, spa and bbq were great and we took advantage of all the amenities. It was a relaxing place to settle into after a day of visiting wine country. The only negative feedback would be that it was not clearly stated that the whole house is not air-conditioned. I fact, only the master bedroom, living room area and kitchen are cooled. None of the other four bedrooms are and that was a problem for our group. We opened the windows at night and closed up everything during the day but it was still warm in the bedrooms which led to some complaining. While I'm sure it's not a problem during the fall and winter, it's definitely hot in Sonoma during the summer and should be noted more clearly in the property description. The little market in the town (which is very walkable) was great and we were able to gather everything we needed for dinner each night. The restaurants looked cute, but none could easily accommodate our group size so we decided to just "eat in." Benziger Winery is close by and that was a fun stop. Overall, nice place and I would recommend. Brian was easy to work with throughout the booking and trip.

It was a pleasure hosting your group, thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. We are so glad that you enjoyed the property and all of the amenities. We are lucky to be centrally located and walking distance to wonderful restaurants, shops and tastings rooms. Some of our restaurants need a bit of notice for larger groups, but are happy to accommodate with a reservation. Though BBQ poolside is always a favorite and enjoyable way to end the evening. We are thrilled to announce after the blistering 2019 summer, we have upgraded our HVAC system, and now the entire home is fully air conditioned.
