The Zurich Lower Village (popularly Doerfli or Niederdörfli) is a part of the old town of Zurich. It extends from Central to Stüssihofstatt. The Lower Village is located in the district town hall and thus part of the City District 1 City of Zurich. Is tightly connected to the Zurich Lower Village to the upper village, which lies between the Bellevue and Raemistrasse and Lower Village and forms for most visitors and residents to the low-village one unit.

The Lower Village is known primarily as entertainment district. In addition to numerous bars and restaurants, there are also cinemas, shops and clubs.

this flat is normaly just for one or two person.
as of one enquire a good single folding mattress can be adapted for short term for a third person (but please clarify upfront with me)
We are also always happy in giving an upgrade if available

what to to best for a start?
Go for a coffee in "Jules Verne" - just enter the restaurant named "brasserie lipp" in Uraniastrasse 9 and take the lift to the top and enjoy the view - its just on eminute away, crossthe bridge to the little tower on the other side...

Appartement bruyant et non adapté pour 3 personnes

Studio situé en plein centre avec tous les avantages mais aussi les inconvénients : environnement très bruyant, difficile de dormir. Appartement absolument pas adapté pour 3 personnes sauf si vous aimez le camping! Canapé-lit très dur et lit d'appoint très étroit. Il manquait draps, couette, oreillers... Les photos faisaient rêver, la réalité un peu moins. Toutefois, le propriétaire était très sympathique et la ville de Zurich magnifique.

Huge Disappointment!

We were hugely disappointed that the apartment we were given was substantially inferior to the sleek, beautiful one pictured on the VRBO website. When questioned about this, the owner indicated that the apartment he had placed us in was actually an “upgrade” from the one we believed we were renting. If this is the case, we can only imagine that the original apartment must be grossly misrepresented on the website. The owner offered to let us see the original apartment, but when we “Google Mapped” it, we noted that it was across the river in a different section of the city. We decided that it was not worth dragging our luggage over there for an apartment that we had already been warned was inferior to the one we had been provided. Our experience was actually remarkably similar to that reported in the review posted for December, 2015. Unfortunately we had secured the rental in October when we were first planning our trip, so did not see that review prior to our arrival. As VRBO veterans who have rented extensively all over the US and Europe, we are quite familiar with the phenomenon of having the actual experience of the rental as a whole not quite measuring up to the sum total of all of the individual pictures on the website. We have never, however, had the experience of being placed in a totally different apartment which was so radically inferior to what had had been represented. We cannot imagine that even clever photography could have represented the substitute apartment in a manner that would have enticed us to rent it. Indeed, we are not sure the substitute is even a VRBO rental as we did not see it listed on VRBO or other vacation rental websites. Warning fellow VRBO users: don’t be fooled by the pretty pictures! If you do, you are likely to be as disappointed as we were!

correct

Nous avons reçu un très bon accueil de Florian, très sympathique et dynamique. Cependant, nous avions réservé un appartement et en avons eu un autre, de toute évidence moins spacieux et moins moderne. Il était très bien placé au cœur de la ville, en zone piétonne, donnant sur une petite place agréable. Mais le logement en lui-même était assez vétuste, en tout cas en rien égal à la prestation prévue. Cela dit, la ville est magnifique, entre grande ville, petits quartiers et balades autour du lac. Mais, attention au coût des parkings sous-terrain, extrêmement élevés. A prévoir au budget !!

We DID NOT GET THE APARTMENT THAT WE RENTED

I have only given 1 Star because I am required to. We rented this flat in good faith in October 2015 for our trip to Zurich in December of 2015 for 10 nights. During our travel to Zurich I received an email from the owner that we were being "upgraded" to his private flat. I thought that that was interesting but went with it. We were charged a "late arrival" fee for arriving after 6pm BUT we were IN THE APARTMENT before 5pm on our arrival date. No refund was given for this. The "private flat" upgrade fell far short of what the pictures in the listing show. I emailed the owner upon our arrival and voiced my concern about the difference and was given a line that it was his private flat, etc. He offered to have us go and look (knowing full well that we probably wouldn't) at the other apartment WHICH IS WHAT WE RENTED BACK IN OCTOBER. The bed was a pull-out couch bed with skimpy linens and no pillow case on the pillows (which were also skimpy) and a feather bed of sorts. One was delivered about 3 days later. That worked well for two pillows. There is a linen charge for which we were given two skimpy bath towels, no hand towels, no wash cloths. There were two dish towels in the kitchenette (comprised of less than 5 feet between stove and sink) of which we used one for a hand towel in the bathroom. The bathroom was tiny and included the shower, toilet and sink in a very small space (we get that it was Europe and are typically pretty accommodating in where we stay). One would take a shower in the morning and the water would not drain so when the second person took a shower they did so standing in at least 1" of water. I emailed the owner to ask if there was a trick to the bathroom drain and received no response. We brought food back one evening to eat and discovered only 1 fork in the "kitchenette". There were TWO of us. We did not stay the full 10 nights as the bed created a back problem for my husband. We booked a room at a hotel for the final three nights of our stay as we couldn't take sleeping on the most uncomfortable bed we had ever had the joy of "renting" and being "upgraded to. We got a response to the email that I sent about our move to a hotel about how he/she was sad that he/she was unable to make us happy. Finally, it took over TWO weeks to finally get our damage deposit back, but no late arrival fee refund. We were the recipient of a BAIT & SWITCH and I would recommend you look for other accommodations.

Fantastic in every way

Many thanks to Florian for a wonderful stay in Zurich. The location was perfect. Easy walk to the train restaurant and activities. Apartment was clean and included everything we needed. Wifi worked great. Would definitely do it again.

Studio apartment in Vienna, Austria.

My two adult daughters and I spent 6 nights in Vienna. We found the studio apartment to be plenty of room for the 3 of us. It was very clean and comfortable. It was within walking distance of all the sights we had on our list and only took a cab once or twice during the entire time. Restaurants and grocery shopping were very close. We felt very safe and comfortable in our little home away from home.
