Fantastic villa, excellent spec and first class all round. Host was brilliant, great communication before the stay, during the stay and at check out. Property exactly as shown on the site, mid week clean and fresh linen, and just really good. Highly recommend and many thanks for a great holiday Stella and George.

A beautiful villa in a lovely location, close to a mini supermarket and plenty of tavernas. Stella was helpful and accommodating and always available if we needed her. The fridge was well stocked when we arrived and the local information was very useful.The villa was immaculately clean and the midweek housekeeper was very welcome!Everyone agrees the pool was the best part of the holiday!

A fantastic stay from start to finish. Everything was as expected. Clean, private and everything we spoke about and requested throughout the stay was done. I would 100% recommend and would love to come back and visit one day.

A beautiful villa with a stunning views and warm hospitality. Very enjoyable and would totally recommend. We had a wonderful holiday!

Stella and her mum were very helpful and lovely apple cake. Generous food etc was left in fridge which was perfect for our first night. The villa is lovely, great pool, pool Room. The local beach was beautiful and the Beach tavern highly recommended for good local Greek food.

5 Star Villa Ariadne

The Villa is absolutely stunning, modern & spotlessly clean with everything in the right place and a place for everything. Contact with the fantasics hosts George & Stella was first class. The views from the terrace and upper balcony are amazing. We have travelled the world and can honestly say this is our favourite place. We will definitely be back. Max & Dee

2 weeks in paradise

Even more stunning than the photographs. Accommodating 4 couples with plenty of room. Lovely swimming pool and jacuzzi. Amazing outdoor dining area with bbq facilities and also an oven. Stunning views. I never got tired of looking at the views everyday. Villa was in great location with sea views.Stella the host was so friendly and could not do enough for us. Was there if we needed anything and was extremely generous.

Fantastically well equipped villa with spectacular views

The villa is vast with a great pool table and small gym. The terrace has great views of the sea as does the balcony. A short walk down a steep hill to the beach and a welcoming bar and restaurant. There are a number of other excellent restaurants a short drive away and further afield there is plenty to do - we rented a boat from Agios Nikalaos. Stella was on hand with any issue you may have (although we had none) and with some good suggestions of where to go and what to see. I would highly recommend the villa and the wonderful Stella.

Excellent villa & host

Lovely stay at the villa. There were 3 adults and 4 teens so plenty of room for us in the villa and around the pool. Stella was an excellent host, always available to assist us with queries. The odd issue was resolved immediately. Would definately recommend a car as the villa is in a very quiet location and the cost of taxis added up over the week. The beach was nice, just a 5 minute walk and has beach bar and basic restaurant there. We got takeaway delivered from Obelix pizza which was tasty and very reasonable. The welcome groceries were brilliant and really appreciated. Much more than a few basics. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay and the home baked apple cake from Stellas mum.

Very nice home with a couple issues

Villa Ariadne is a beautiful home with a great view of the sea. We liked the quick walk to the beach and the wonderful pool. Air conditioners in the bedrooms were great for us as we’re used to a/c. Stela also stocked the fridge and pantry with food which was a nice surprise. It sleeps 8 in beds, so one of our guests slept on a couch, but I suppose we could have fit ten if someone else took another couch. The hot water was spotty and worked sometimes, so large parties may have issues. The road to the property is a bit treacherous so need to be careful with large vehicles.

Thank you for your comments. The villa has a 500 liter solar hot water system which currently exceeds 85 degrees. It can cover at least 15 people per day. When you informed us we immediately activated the heating with electricity. The next day you reported the same problem and after a few minutes canceled the message saying it was a mistake and there was hot water. Then you never informed us about hot water problem. If you had informed us, we would obviously have provided an immediate solution with electricity. Thanks The owner

I made this booking months in advance for the Spring season off peak season and I really wanted a hot tub to chill and relax in after being out most of the day. It was listed as a hot tub but really was a jetted section of the pool that was listed as ER 50 extra per day to be heated. My 25 year old son walked to the beach in the morning to swim the hot tub was for me and his 76 year old aunt so we could relax after long days of sightseeing. The villa was very beautiful and George and his wife were very nice but when someone planned for something that was in the listings then it needs to be accurate. Also a washer and dryer was listed but the dryer was locked up in the basement of the house. If I’m going to spend seven days in a house I would like to wash my clothes before I leave. I spent seven days there and never got in the pool and the jetted area ( that’s not a hot tub) never heated up enough to enjoy. Removing the word hot tub off the listing after I had paid and arrived at the property is not the best option for accommodation for the current tenants. The area is absolutely gorgeous, stunning and I would visit again but I would also choose a property that actually has a real hot. What she has may very well be suited for the hot summer months and I would encourage anyone who isn’t afraid of steep hill and want a gorgeous beach and views of Crete that is absolutely breathtaking to give it a visit but please be aware of the discrepancies. Also we would like to thank George.

Thank you for your comments. However, we would like to clarify a few points in order to provide a complete picture. At the time of your booking, you were aware that the hot tub/jacuzzi is connected to the swimming pool, therefore heating the jacuzzi also requires heating the pool, with the additional cost clearly stated in the listing. Initially, you requested to heat only the jacuzzi, which was technically not possible, as we explained. Two days later, you requested the pool heating, accepting the additional charge, and asked for it to be done immediately rather than the following morning. We arranged this accordingly. The water temperature reached 28°C, and at no point were we informed that you wished for a higher temperature. Additionally, the dryer is located next to the playroom, it was shown to you upon arrival, and it was used during your stay. Finally, we would like to mention that upon departure, the pool heating cost had not been settled, and we did not receive the information previously requested for issuing the tax documents/invoice. Lovely House

This house was perfect for our family holiday with our 3 grown up children. Everyone had their own space yet we were able to have great meals, swims, watch films, play pool together etc. The views from the house are amazing. It helps if you have a car whilst staying here. Aswell as eating in, we also ate out alot and never had a bad meal. Most restaurants are good if you like mediterranean food. We loved going into the small village of Koutsouras which is just about an 8 minute drive from the house with a cute little beach and great Tavernas. The Big Blue Beach Bar also does great breakfasts. Thank you Anna for bringing over a lovely homebaked apple cake which was delicious. We have a swimming pool at home and my husband is very fussy about the cleanliness of it and will not let anybody go in a pool until he has tested it. This house pool was the cleanest he has known. Everything is well looked after and we would recommend.

Super dejligt sted!

Vi havde en rigtig dejlig ferie hvor alt levede op til forventningerne. Der var en rigtig god kommunikation med Stella hele vejen igennem. Der blev svaret hurtigt på vores spørgsmål både inden og under opholdet. Stedet var som beskrevet, rent, gode senge, masser af plads og en fantastisk udsigt. Der blev gjort rent halvvejs igennem opholdet og Anna kom med en dejlig overraskelse til os. Vi nød godt af de lækkerier køleskabet var fyldt med da vi ankom. Vi vil helt sikkert anbefale stedet!

Sehr schöne Villa im etwas ruhigeren Südosten Kretas

Die Villa ist sehr schön gelegen mit Blick aufs Meer. Sie ist sehr sauber und alles funktioniert ( Pizzaofen, Dampfbad, Poolheizug gegen Extrakosten, Billardtisch, Kraftraum etc.) Einzig die Kittfugen in einer der Duschkabinen sollten unbedingt erneuert werden. Ansonsten ist alles einwandfrei. Der schöne, kleine Sandstrand, (der nicht dem Vermieter der Villa gehört) ist nur 5 Gehminuten entfernt. Die Stadt Ierapetra ist mit dem Auto in 20 Minuten erreichbar. Dort hat es Restaurants, Einkaufszentren und andere Läden. In zehn Fahrminuten in beide Richtungen hat es weitere schöne Restaurants. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt in der Villa Ariadne Achlia.

Eine wundervolle Woche

Vielen Dank an George und Stella für den gefüllten Kühlschrank bei der Ankunft. Das Haus, der Pool und die Lage waren traumhaft. Der Ausblick auf das Meer und den aufgehenden Mond waren perfekt. In nur 5 Minuten Gehweg erreichte man den kleinen Kiesstrand von Achlia mit einer guten Taverne. Für den Einkauf sind nicht weit entfernt kleine Supermärkte, z.B. in Richtung Ireapetra, der 7 km entfernter Kalimera-Market. Es war ein sehr schöner Urlaub. Danke an unsere Gastgeber. 5 Sterne

Fun family holiday in luxury villa

Everything in the Villa lives up to the listing, especially the view. The layout is perfect for an adult family- all rooms have en suites and all extras are included. Perfect location next to beach.

Fantastic villa! The views are beautiful and you can even hear the sea from the villa.

Highly recommend this villa! Spacious, very clean and equipped with everything you need. The walk to the beach is very short and easy. Our hosts were amazing, thank you very much!

Family holiday

Great property - good location lots of beeches near by and restaurants although a hire car would be needed if you want to explore / get to local supermarkets etc Great stay family very much enjoyed it!
