Nice Townhome to explore Lake Tahoe

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the place was very nice and clean. We had a great time spending the week here exploring the Tahoe area with our dog. The one thing I would say that was not ideal was the shower door was very hard to open and close and the shower is pretty small. So if you're a bigger person, might be something to consider.

Enjoyable stay

We had a good time as the unit met all our needs. Bed was comfy, we enjoyed the little deck, it’s close to the lake, beach and pool. We’ve stayed in the complex before and this unit was nicer. We’d probably stay again.

The place was clean, nice, strict management which likely keeps it that way, and responsive to any needs or concerns we had. Location is excellent - walking distance to the beach and local coffee shop, easy drive to multiple resort locations.

Condo with a view!

Wedding

The property was older but clean and well stocked kitchen, it’s in a very peaceful environment and close to the beach. The upstairs sink was a little rusty. But overall a comfortable place.

Our Tahoe trip was amazing!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 2nd time staying here. This time was quite an improvement. They did a very nice remodel of the kitchen that has all you need. We loved being in the woods, so nice to get up in the morning and have a coffee and read on the deck, so peaceful. Very short walk to the beach. You could get a drink, breakfast, lunch, rent a kayak, paddleboard, etc. would definitely stay here again. We miss it so much already!

Clean, sufficient, no frills

Sufficient and basic accommodations for a quick ski weekend. The home was clean but lacking in some pretty basic amenities. I understand they have “starters” of toilet paper and the like but I didn’t expect to have to bring my own hand soap for the bathrooms.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice and clean condo! Everything you need is there. Great kitchen. Bathroom sinks are old and cracked. The lamp in the upper bathroom is fixed with tape, and sometimes it came off, and then we had to push it back in.We had a hard time finding the place, since the address on Maps led us to the wrong place. Lost 30 minutes finding.Access to the hot tub first was not obvious. Also, it was not clear from the beginning that the whole clubhouse was closed on Holidays.

Convenient location

Our unit was changed at the last minute due to plumbing issues near original unit. This unit was called an upgrade but it didn’t seem better than the unit we secured originally. The entire unit smelled moldy but it was clean so we dealt with it. We opened the patio door to get fresh air in daytime and it helped. The towels smelled like wet dog (gross) and the shower knobs were very hard to adjust. Overall, it was fine for the little time we spent in unit. The location was central to everything and we enjoyed north Tahoe immensely!

We love dishes and style!Just a couple things were missing: * really tiny cutting board: , we really missed for normal size.* you unable to use Grill because "...New Insurance/Fire Regulations prohibit BBQ propane tanks to be stored on property in Carnelian Woods Townhomes...." So, I got an explanation from management that some accommodations installed pipe gas grills, but this suite is not yet. Actually, there is a pipe installed but grill doesn't connect yet.

Vacation

Stayed here for a few days for our summer vacation and the overall stay was okay. There were some pros to staying here. It’s a good location and close to the lake. The neighborhood is quiet and people were friendly. We also thought the kitchen and living room were inviting. However, there were quite a few cons. The refrigerator door wouldn’t close properly. So we had to actually push the door in tight order for it to stay shut. The upstairs needed serious attention. The runners looked really old and dirty and the comforter looked outdated. The restroom is in need of some TLC as well. The property manager did respond to our emails, which we appreciated. Don’t know if we’d stay here again, but it was a good price for its location.

This townhouse surpassed our expectations! It was an amazing location with walks in the forest right outside your doorstep and a short walk to a beautiful pool and lodge area. The home had everything we needed and more. Very comfortable and clean. Also a short walk to the lake with a nice beach. We definitely would like to rent this unit again in the future!

Good for two

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This small condo works well for two people or a family with two small kids. Parking is down a somewhat steep path from the parking area and with the bedroom upstairs, it's not suitable for those with mobility issues. The kitchen and floors have been nicely redone since the original construction. the kitchen is nicely supplied with dishware and cookware. The bed was very comfortable however there was only one dim floor lamp in bedroom area so reading in bed was not possible. Two of the lamps burned out during our stay but were quickly repaired. We had no cell reception in the condo area but connecting our phones to the wi-fi helped when we were inside the condo. Buy ice when you shop since there is no icemaker or ice cube trays. The tv has cable but no instructions are given for which of the four remotes to use. Use the smallest remote and find the Spectrum cable icon on the screen display.

Great Location to Escape

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the townhome is comfy and in a quiet location and was perfect for our 6 day stay. The kitchen is nicely outfitted to cook meals. The little balcony is nice to sit out amongst the trees and enjoy a morning coffee and afternoon glass of wine (I would suggest some better wine glasses and larger coffee mugs 😆). Bath Towels were scarce, literally 1 per person (up to 4 ppl). Having a W/D was great - so we could wash as needed - especially towels. A few maintenance items were noticed, but didn’t affect our stay. For summer visitors it would have been nice to have pool towels provided and maybe some plastic glasses to enjoy a beverage by the pool. I get that a lot of guests might be driving in and can pack to accommodate, but we flew in from out of town.

Upon arrival this visit I noticed the batteries In thermostat needed to be replaced and a light cover had popped off one of the bathroom lights, I sent First Accommodations an email and they were out within 12 hours to fix both. Fantastic place, great service!

Nice Stay

Reviewer Comments: This was a good place to spend a long ski weekend as it was near family. Kitchen has been updated and has a good amount of dishes. New floors, but could use a mat or something for wet shoes and snow gear. Place was clean. Bed comfortable but the sheets are old. Little far to walk to the clubhouse for the hot tub and there are a lot of rules (no drinks, not open Sunday, etc). Towels nice and thick, but really could use some hot tub/swim towels as you get 4 bath towels for the condo so if you have more than 2 people, you have to keep throwing them in the dryer. Yes the upstairs sink and tub door need replacing. Easy fix, not sure why it hasn't been done, but such is Lake Tahoe. A little cramped if you have someone sleeping on the foldout couch. Overall, a decent stay for the price. Especially if you do not plan to spend a lot of time in the condo.
