We stayed four days at the Penthouse in Mission Beach and could not have asked for a better property and host. First, the location is unbeatable with stunning views, quick beach access, and an easy walk to restaurants and shops along the shore. Waking up to the sounds of the ocean, seeing the sunset from the balcony, and fantastic people watching made this trip so special and fun. Inside the house, the bedrooms are perfect and having an individual bathroom with each bedroom was fantastic. The primary bedroom also has a small private balcony with mountain views in the distance. The kitchen had every appliance we needed and the living area was bright and cozy with a fireplace for the colder winter nights. Finally, I can't say enough about our amazing host. He communicated with us every step of the way and was extremely responsive and flexible to our needs. 10/10 we would absolutely stay here again.

This was an amazing stay! My husband and I took our 6 year old for the new year. We loved the gorgeous sunset views each night and waking up right on the water. Our host Dave was very communicative and ensured we had everything we needed. We could even see the new years fire works from seaworld off the back balcony!

The house was perfect for our family of seven. Beds were very comfortable. Sitting on the balcony and watching the waves was breathtaking. We will stay here again on our next visit.

We had the BEST stay at this condo. Dave, the host was easy to communicate with and quickly responsive to any questions. The location is absolutely gorgeous, listening to the ocean waves from the balcony while relaxing in the sun was the perfect way to start each day. There are all kinds of fun beach toys, chairs, etc to enjoy a day at the beach and the ample garage parking made coming/ going from the condo super easy. Would definitely love to come back again!!

We loved our stay here. One of our favorite spots to stay in mission beach yet after probably at least ten trips down to San Diego. Ideal location, right on the sand. Many extra amenities that were a “bonus” for our family including 2 nice air mattresses, all the beach gear you could want, and a fully stocked kitchen. Wonderful for our family of six. We look forward to coming back and would most definitely stay here again.

Amazing oceanfront top floor fresh breezy!

This is a gem I found last minute! The balcony was great above the boardwalk, sitting, eating, relaxing while taking in the ocean views, priceless! Three bedrooms three bath was perfect for our family with enough space with my two teenagers. There are two sets of stairs just FYI, for anyone who may have trouble climbing. However, I was totally worth it. Icing on the cake is a two car closed in garage with all the beach equipment you need. Can’t wait to come back to this amazing property. David, the owner is so nice and attentive!

Excellent property and owner

Great location and views...close to everything in Mission and Pacific Beach. Clean, very comfortable and well furnished. Spacious garage for our Suburban. Zero issues...owner was awesone and very responsive prior to our stay. Would definitely return to this property.

Wonderful Place

We absolutely loved this rental. The view is unsurpassed, the entire rental was very clean which made me very happy. Everything we needed was there including lots of towels and kitchen and beach equipment, plus the parking was spacious and easy. We can't wait to get back here!

Location + Host = Win

We’ve stayed here two times over two different summers during the Fourth of July week. The location really is so ideal, as it’s just far enough from Belmont Park as to avoid the crazies but close enough to capture the energy of the crowds and boardwalk without the chaos. During our stay, the AC did not work. That is an accommodation that is important enough to our family of six, that we only book units with AC. This surprised both Dave and me, and while it was outside either of our control, Dave was quick to offer assistance with a portable cooler and dinner for our family. We didn’t end up accepting either, but instead settled for Padres box seats, which the family loved. The unit could use some updating from a decor and furniture perspective, but it does the job. Dave, really is an ideal host. He’s so quick to respond and deliver an exceptional experience. I appreciate your efforts, Dave, in spite of an uncomfortable situation for both of us, to reconcile an unfortunate situation. Wish you the best.

Great Location!

Very close to Belmont Park and Pacific Beach with plenty to do. Aside from driving to get groceries, we didn't have to leave the house and drive anywhere. The beach across from the house is far enough away from Belmont that it wasn't bus at all. Will definitely be staying here again!

Beach Vacation

The property was right on the boardwalk of Mission Beach. Can’t beat the view. Our kids lived the beach and Belmont Park. It was what our family was hoping for!

Perfect Get-A -Way

This house was absolutely perfect for our family extended weekend! It had everything we needed and the most amazing view of the ocean. We even witnessed a full rainbow from the balcony. The location is perfect. We will reserve this house again.

Perfect location

The condo was clean, well stocked and perfect for our family of four. Dave was very kind and helpful. He met us at the condo to give us all the details. Waking up to an ocean view was perfection. The condo is in walking distance to coffee and restaurants. We would definitely recommend this condo. Thank you for having us!

I am originally from Los Altos in North California and came to San Diego 30 years ago to go to school at University of San Diego. Like many people...after graduating I never left San Diego. I purchased this unit in 1998 and have operated it as a vacation rental ever since. I am semi retired and live 10 minutes from the property so I am always available.

I dreamed of living on the ocean front since I was a small boy. When I had the chance to buy this in 1998 I jumped at the chance because of its Ocean Views. Maybe in the future I'll move into it as my home. In the mean time I hope you will enjoy it.

VIEWS VIEWS VIEWS. LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. This is prime real estate in San Diego. It's a special place to enjoy the ocean front. It is 1/4 mile north of Belmont Park which means the beach commuters stay down there and usually there are not many people on the beach directly in front of the condo. The garage on the unit is unique for Mission beach in that it is full height and can accommodate almost any SUV.
