Dette er den klassiske bjælkehytte (med nyt køkken!) du har ledt efter. Beliggende i Driggs, Idaho - 45 miles fra Jackson Hole og 97 miles fra Yellowstone. Sovepladser 2 voksne i queensize-seng, og det andet soveværelse har dobbelt sovesofa og en anden dobbeltmadras til gulvet. Opkaldt af Men's Journal 'den bedste lille by i Amerika'.

Perfekt til et par eller en lille familie, kunstner / forfatter tilbagetog, bryllupsrejse, fugleture, vandreture, kajaksejlads, skiløb, fiskeri eller bare nyde den friske luft.

Colter Cabin ligger på 7 hektar omgivet af ranches og asp træer. Udsigt over skiområdet Grand Targhee og Grand Tetons fra fordækket. 25 minutters kørsel til Grand Targhee for god puderski og 65 minutters kørsel over passet til ski i Jackson Hole. Langrend og snesko ud af hoveddøren eller på mange preparerede stier i nærheden.

Fantastisk kajak på Teton og Snake Rivers og mountainbiking i Big Hole Mountains. Fluefiskeri ved Leigh Creek, Teton River og Henry's Fork. Gå ud af din dør i Jedediah Smith Wilderness. Smukke Leigh Creek inden for gåafstand. Ridning og golf tilgængelig 5 min. væk. Darling by Driggs med søde restauranter og butikker ligger 7 km derfra.

Jackson Hole (50 minutters kørsel) er fuld af kunstgallerier, shopping, museer, restauranter, svømmeture på slangen, langrend og alpint skiløb. Idaho Falls og Jackson lufthavne ligger begge 75 minutter væk. Yellowstone National Park er 100 miles nord - gå ind på West Yellowstone. Island Park og Henry's Fork, et område med verdensberømt fluefiskeri, ligger 40 minutter nord.

Colter Cabin, Tetonia

Very nice and secluded cabin with beautiful views. Close enough to local restaurants and grocery stores. Plenty of local places to hike and explore if you don’t feel like making a trip over the mountain pass to access the national parks. The cabin itself was clean, warm, and cozy. Would highly recommend.

Perfect getaway !

Left the Arizona heat for Idaho's beautiful weather and the cabin's stunning sunsets. The week flew by with many local activities and fun memories.

Peaceful Getaway

We had such a good time staying at the cabin! It was perfect for my husband our 2 boys and I. The cabin was clean and cozy. Just what we needed for the week. We love the location. Secluded and peaceful. I can’t wait to go back!

Minutes from Fun

The Cabin is in a great location, my family and I were able to enjoy Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park using the West Entrance, and Idaho Falls while staying here. The cabin made our trip so much better.

1st time out west

Stayed here while visiting the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. The cabin was great! Clean, quiet, and had all the amenities we needed. The only problem was its location in regards to the parks. 1.5 hour drive to Yellowstone and 1 hour drive to Jackson and the Tetons.

Truly outstanding property!

This is a one-of-a-kind property bear beautiful Driggs, Idaho. If you are skiing at Grand Targhee this is the perfect spot to be within 30 minutes of the resort, but in a very private setting. Ginger, the host, was great. Kitchen is perfectly stocked, bathrooms are great and the cabin is amazing!

Nice cabin

It is a secluded very cute cabin! Things were well stocked. Sunset views over the ranch were awesome. There are 12-15 horses in the backyard (neighboring ranch) that are very fun to watch at all times of day! The drive to GTNP, Teton Village, and Jackson goes quick and is beautiful.

Serenity Now!!

This cabin should be named Serenity Now!! It was the most PEACEFUL, quiet, and beautiful place I have ever stayed. Nestled on many acres of farm-land with a view of the Tetons and Mountains all around, this was a dream! If you want peace, tranquility, and to get away from it all with a ton of outdoor adventure close by then this is THE PLACE!

Time to Get Away

The Colter Cabin was a fantastic “get away spot” for my wife and I. It was a beautiful cabin that was on a quiet road away from a lot of people. There only traffic was farm and ranch traffic and we hardly noticed. The views were great. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the upstairs balcony and watching the sunsets. Just a great cabin for us!!!

Loved our stay!

Great place to stay on the back side of the Tetons and wanted to stay longer. Was hazy from the California smoke but cleared to give us a really great view. The cabin was beautiful and perfect for us! And watching the horses morning and evening was so nice. The stars were amazing. Highly recommend Harriman state park, Mesa Falls and the scenic drive south to Palisades Reservoir and (not the real) Grand Canyon. Thank you. It was really wonderful.

Far West

Idaho is one of my faves, and we enjoyed being in horse country with views of pastureland, horses, and an occcasional deer. We expected a view of the Tetons as indicated in the listing's photos, and that was not the case, but within a short distance up the dirt road there were wonderful mountain views. Lots of recreational vehicles as well as horseback riding available.

Little Peace of Heaven

Can't say enough about how peaceful this cabin is. We were able to travel to both Yellowstone and Tetons national Park. The road closure requires some extra drive time but the drive was absolutely beautiful. Both parks are stunning. That being said the best part of our stay was the evening sunsets on the porch at the cabin. The birds songs were the only music we needed along with the sound of the wind blowing through the trees which sounded like the ocean. The sunsets are God's masterpieces each night giving us a glimpse of heaven. I've never seen sunsets like the ones of the cabin before in my life. Another bonus was the bed was incredibly comfortable. The mattress was just perfect for my bad back. The owner could not be more responsive. She was very caring about everything regarding our stay.

The colter cabin is just beautiful . The wood work and special touches are perfect . You have everything you will need for your stay . The view from the den and the master bedroom are so beautiful . Sunsets are amazing and it’s so inviting to just sit and watch the sunset with a nice glass of wine . You are close to the grocery store and easily accessible to Jackson Hole , Teton National Park and west Yellowstone ( a little bit of a ride but beautiful) we will definitely make our way back here. Thank you for sharing your home 😊

A Haven Set Among Beauty

My husband and I were thrilled when we arrived at this wonderful cabin. It was just as pictured and described (do not look at the Google picture taken 15 years ago!). It was surrounded by gorgeous aspen trees and wild flowers. The front porch has a cozy place to sit so see the morning sun, or the rising moon. The back porch and upper balcony (off the master suite) overlook the textured pasture with the beautiful horses grazing and frolicking, and seating is provided. I liked talking to them and when I played my Dean Martin crooner music, they looked up and seemed to like it. The sunset was breath taking, and on the evenings we were home, we sat out there and gazed at the majesty. The instructions for the house were very helpful, and several "things to do" brochures were provided. The cabin was well supplied with linens, towels, and washcloths. It was nice to have a washer and dryer to do a couple of small loads so we could take clean clothes home. We highly recommend this enchanting cabin. Of course the fact that it is fairly close to Jackson Hole, The Grand Teton National Park, and Yellowstone, not to mention all there is to do closer to "home", just made it even better. It will be one of my "happy places" forever!

We bought this cabin in 2001 as a vacation getaway for family and friends. Jim worked for Jones Lang LaSalle and Ginger taught Montessori. We started ColterCabins and use the cabin ourselves for many weeks each year. We now split our time between Tetonia and Uruguay. Our family uses the cabin often, so the kitchen is always well equipped and the beds are super-comfortable. We love to hike, ski, kayak and cook big dinners for family and friends.

This area of Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana is just gorgeous. There are so many beautiful areas to visit – mountains, waterfalls, rivers, fields of wildflowers throughout the summer, and great snow all winter. You will want to be outdoors every day of your stay! Late spring is the best time to see the animals with their new offspring, and October brings the spectacular golden "quaking" leaves on the aspen trees.

Our wood-burning fireplace is the classic traditional stone fireplace of your dreams. Lots of wood is stacked on the porch. The new kitchen with all stainless appliances is a treat as well. Cozy furniture, a large copper dining table, down comforters and quilts - we try to create an experience you will love. Note the elk chandelier in the great room - the Boy Scouts in Jackson collected all the antlers. The views of the Big Hole Mountains over the ranch next door are spectacular - especially for sunsets. Peaceful, quiet, only the rustling of the aspen leaves out your door.
