Bedårende Oceanfront Cottage på Pemaquid Point

The Artist's Box er en fabelagtig ejendom ved havet, der blev totalrenoveret i 2015. Alt er frisk og nyt, og udsigten over Atlanterhavet er storslået.

Det store soveværelse har en queensize-seng, et andet soveværelse har 2 enkeltsenge, og der er en tvilling i det tredje soveværelse. Badeværelset har bruser og forfængelighed med dobbelt håndvask, og der er også et halvt bad. Det splinternye køkken har apparater i rustfrit stål og en 8 fods ø med plads til 6 eller flere personer. Der er håndklæder og sengetøj, og der er en vaskemaskine og tørretumbler.

Du kan nyde havudsigten fra den lukkede veranda eller sidde udenfor på Adirondack-stole og se på hummerbådene gå forbi, når de trækker i din middag. Et picnicbord og kulgrill er til rådighed til udendørs madlavning og spisning og 4 strandstole til stranden.

Sommerhuset har en hyggelig pejs, trådløs internetadgang, TV og DVD.

Ugentlig leje kun med lørdag skifte.

Oceanfront Paradise

This is an amazing oceanfront property. I could just sit in one of the Adirondack chairs all day listening to the waves crash on the rocks and just look at the ocean. It’s very private and in a lovely, walkable neighborhood. This is our second stay here, and we just love it!

Beautiful cottage on Maine coast

My husband and I found the cottage to be perfect for our annual stay on the Pemaquid Peninsula. Love the view of the lighthouse and Atlantic with Monhegan in the distance. Enjoyed walking the Pemaquid loop every day and all the great seafood within an easy drive. Cottage is compact but has every need thoughtfully taken care of. Especially enjoyed the glassed/screened porch. Loved our stay!

Missing the Ocean already

Although there was a large TV, we never even turned it on. We loved sitting on the porch or at the kitchen counter, chatting and laughing. We were able to use both the picnic table and the fire pit to further enjoy the location. Access to the Loop was right out the door and the more intrepid found the nearby trails. I loved sitting on the front porch watching the Monarchs in the beautiful landscaping.

Everything Beyond Exceptional -

Donna is the best to work with. Very responsive and helpful. Gave us ideas on where to get what ever we needed but really didn’t need anything as rental is well equipped. Location, home, landscaping and host exceptional. Rating this rental a perfect 10!

Dazzling ocean views!

This beautiful home had many excellent features, in addition to its fabulous views of the ocean and rocks. It was meticulously maintained, had the most comfortable beds ever, and a kitchen stocked with everything anyone would need. The gas stove heated practically the whole house and was lovely to gaze at in the evenings. Kitchen counters, cupboards and appliances all seemed like new. Only 20 minutes from Damariscotta! A real find. :)

My little touch of heaven for a week!

When I opened the door I was blown away with the cottage and the view immediately seen as you walk in. The cottage is beautiful the furnishings are perfect from the comfy chairs on the porch to the bed in the master bedroom. The kitchen is stocked with everything that anyone would need. I loved sitting on the back porch watching the butterflies enjoy the flowers in the morning and spending my afternoons and evenings on the front porch with a good book or just watching the ocean. In other words I loved my stay and look forward to being there again next year.

Complete Bliss

This is the perfect location for a get away. The cottage is lovely, pristine, beautifully appointed and completely outfitted with all necessities. And the location is exquisite. In addition, every communication with the property manager was seamless, extremely helpful and highly attentive. This experience exceeded our expectations in every way.

Great cottage, great location, great view

We couldn’t have been more pleased with the cottage for our late-in-the-season stay. Cozy, clean, and well-stocked; it had everything we needed for a great week. The big, enclosed porch offers a perfect view of the sea, and the light from Pemiquid lighthouse plays across the porch walls at night. We were lucky to have a night when a storm blew through. The sound of the wind and the waves was a perfect lullaby. The Artist’s Box was just what we were looking for.

Perfect location, beautifully appointed

We love New Harbor and Pemaquid Point and this is the best view we've ever had there. I don't usually cook very much on a one-week vacation stay, but the high-end kitchen had every amenity we could ever ask for should we want to prepare extensive meals. Linens were quality as were the soft, fluffy towels. The decor is pleasant and soothing. The star of the show is the large, beautiful glassed-in porch on the back of the house directly facing the ocean. You can even see a bit of the light and lighthouse peeking out from behind the trees. They are in full view from the front porch. The landscaping is very attractive, and although the front and one side of the house are close to the road, the double-paned windows block unwanted sound. Our only disappointment was that the mattresses were not a bit firmer -- but perhaps that is more of a personal preference. The wi-fi and TV were excellent and Pemaquid Loop Rd is a perfect place for walking. You can also walk to the Seagul Restaurant for their excellent meals (also with amazing views).

Best Maine vacation ever!

We have been vacationing in the Pemaquid Point area of Maine for 25 years--a special place that is near and dear to our hearts. We have rented various homes on the Point over the years and, by far, the Artist's Cottage is the best. The cottage is impeccably decorated and immaculately clean. It's apparent from the moment you enter that this is a real home that is thoughtfully loved and cared for by the owners. The interior is comfortable, bright and sparkling with every possible amenity; the screened porch and yard provide hours of spectacular ocean views; and the area itself is a treasure trove of activities, restaurants and day trips along the coast. Hands down, a winner!

The best!!!

This fall was our 6th trip from Texas to the Maine coast. Each trip had its own charm & beauty up & down different locations. The Pemaquid/NewHarbor area has become our favorite for it's beauty, slower pace, and wide open water views. This trip to the Artist's Box was hands down our favorite location of all. It provides the solace you are seeking from the ocean while feeling secure in the most comfortable & relaxing cottage. The owners have done an excellent job in creating a fresh & near perfect environment for a wonderful getaway! The wide open water offers an unbelieveable setting & the Pemaquid light is within view as well as Monhegan Island across the way. Our goal in visiting the Maine coast is to take it all in & this area & property couldn't do a better job of that. Nearby Damariscotta is a favorite spot to eat delicious, fresh food & enjoy walks on Main St. The helpful owners were a joy to work with. Can't say enough, just come!!!!

Simply perfect.

The location of the Artist's Box is a good enough reason to want plunk down and never leave. But the tasteful, thoughtfully done renovations and decorating make it an "AHA" moment when you step inside. It is attractive and relaxing with a fresh appearance and a view that makes you forget to unpack! The sun porch is enclosed and really makes the spaces complete with sliding doors into the living room and master bedroom. I spent six days in mid September there and had family come and go. I have been going to Maine for over 4 decades and have never been more content. Being a bit off season was wonderful in terms of smaller crowds at the Pemaquid Lighthouse and less traffic for the day trips to all of mid-coast spots . The owners are a delight to work with and really care about their "guests' " experience. It was idyllic.

A Jewel on the Water

Our family of four recently spent a week in this beautiful cottage, and had a wonderful time. The owners have recently renovated the property and they did a tremendous job. It really is a gem of a property, located right on the water with a gorgeous view of Pemaquid Point, and is beautifully appointed with stylish decor and new appliances. All of the rooms are a decent size, and the entire place has a cozy, warm feel to it. The owners are responsive, kind, and very helpful. They provided us with great recommendations for things to do in the area, restaurants to try, and were quick to answer any questions we had. If you are looking for a quiet, beautiful, and relaxing place to stay in Maine, we can't recommend the Artist's Box enough!

It doesnt get any better than this!

I have rented many houses in Maine over the years and by far, this one has been my most favorite, for so many reasons! First, the location is ideal. The views are as breathtaking as they appear in the photos, only enhanced by the continual gentle ocean sounds. The cottage is not only charming, it has been so beautifully renovated with quality materials, designed for style and comfort. But what made this vacation experience so delightful was interacting with owners who are responsive, eager to accommodate and somehow manage to be so welcoming, even from miles away. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us and we look forward to returning next year!

Amazing and Incredible

This cottage my husband and I have been renting for the last 7 years. It now has a new owners which has completely renovated the property. You will never find better location for the ocean and its view. The new owners are far beyond your normal owners, they have gone beyond the norm for renovations. Once you rent from this location there is no doubt that you will return. It is simply amazing.

Absolutely Fabulous!

First, I must say that my husband an I are extremely particular when it comes to vacation properties. We truly loved every moment of our stay in this tastefully decorated immaculately clean cottage. The views are absolutely breathtaking from the moment you enter the home and the location is superb. The home feels new, has amenities galore and is very well appointed. The owners of the property are splendid to work with in every aspect. They are knowledgeable about the local area, a great source of information and are truly interested in making their quests feel welcome. It was a shear pleasure to walk into a home that was exactly as described and it was extremely obvious the home was remodeled within a few short months of our stay. We definitely plan to return and would highly recommend this home to our family and close friends!

We are from Lancaster, PA. Bob is a school superintendent and I am retired Dental Hygienist and business manager, but I currently freelance as a writer. I earned a business degree from St. Joseph College in Standish, ME, and that is when Bob and I fell in love with Maine.

We have been vacationing in New Harbor for many years and just love the charm of this quaint fishing village. Having a house on the ocean, where we could just sit and watch the surf crashing on the rocks, has always been our dream. So, when this cottage became available, we knew that we had found the perfect house and location to make our dream come true.

Derfor er dette overnatningssted unikt

Location, location, location ...This sweet cottage couldn't have a more wonderful location. Situated 75 feet from the Atlantic Ocean, you have views of the Pemaquid Lighthouse, and you can look directly across to Monhegan Island. At night, you can see the shining beacon from not only the Pemaquid Lighthouse but also the lighthouse on Monhegan Island. Waking up to a sunrise over the Atlantic is just spectacular, and the sun porch is the perfect spot to watch the wild surf during a storm.
