It's a very nice rental property. We enjoyed our visit to the Hood River area. Had fun exploring the Fruit Loop and purchased several varieties of apples and some pears. Let the baking begin!Host was responsive to questions.

Spacious place. Large bedroom, kitchen and living area. About a mile from White Salmon restaurants and bars. I’d stay shin for sure.

Great stay for Columbia Gorge

This was a lovely, comfortable stay. It was nice being out of Hood River and got us to do a few different things including following the White Salmon and going along the Washington side of the gorge. We also enjoyed hiking Mosier plateau. The host was very helpful and made sure we were very comfortable. I highly recommend this stay!

Beautiful property and amenities

We used this rental as a place for my father in law to stay while visiting. It was easy to access with only 1 small step for him and had everything he needed. kitchen was well appointed and there was so much space.

Great Place

This is a downstairs apartment with one bedroom, but additional sleeping areas. The living room, kitchen and bathroom are very well equipped. The hosts (who live upstairs) were very quick to respond and help with anything we needed. The place is only a mile from town and located in a woodsy area.

Vacationing from Missoula Montana

This place was what we needed for our six day vacation. It is close to everything and very quiet. We seen over 20 waterfalls and it was nice to go hick all day and have a place to relax when done. Host was amazing and made us fell at home. We would recommend this place to stay to everyone passing this way. And we recommend to stop for a long vacation and see some of God’s amazing beautiful creations. Look forward to coming back soon.

Quiet White Salmon getaway

I stayed here for 5 days in early October 2024. The property was clean and very large, with a good sized parking area too. I was surprised at how spacious the rooms were, and they were decorated with local art on the walls and comfortable furniture. The kitchen was well stocked for all my cooking needs. I felt safe and would recommend this property to anyone

Everything you need for a getaway to the Gorge!

This house was great for our family vacation. The spacious walk-in closet housed both kids at night -- could easily have handled a few more sleeping bags - it's HUGE. The A/C was a great perk after returning from the beach/hike on a hot day. The patio + hammock were used daily, as were the Wii and Direct TV :) The owners provided delicious local coffee which we enjoyed on the patio as well. So close to White Salmon downtown and only a few minutes over the bridge to Hood River. We'll definitely recommend this house to friends and likely stay again!

Magnificent stay

Get to live in the woods, yet right in middle of everything. Short walk to the village and all it's restaurants, and easy access to all main roads to sightsee. Everything is provided in unit and extremely clean. Breff is totally helpful in all respects. Recommend to all

Great location for visiting the Gorge

Very nice accommodations close to Hood River and Gorge. White Salmon had nice restaurants & grocery store nearby. Enjoyed seeing deer and quail in the yard most early mornings. Comfortable space albeit a bit lived in. We could hear the owner's family upstairs but. it was always quiet by a reasonable time.

Friendly, accommodating, well appointed, perfect for our needs

Breff is one of the unique owners that goes out of his way to make you feel welcome and accommodates your requests. The apartment was as advertised; clean, well appointed with many amenities. We were very happy with our stay and we will return and recommend it to our friends.

Comfort in White Salmon

The downstairs apartment of a family home in White Salmon is nicely decorated and well appointed. The owner was there to greet us and was quick to respond to our needs throughout our stay. It would be nice if there was a dishwasher, but that's nit picking. The apartment was clean but a few too many dust bunnies and spider webs for my complete satisfaction. As previously noted by Bert: "There is noise that can be heard from the upstairs home, voices, TV, and walking on the floors. This wasn't much of a problem but it made the home not feel like it was fully ours." The entertainment system can be a little intimidating for some (several remotes and key strokes). The WiFi was high speed (nice). We stayed a week in early October 2015. The location was great for us (two 'ol geezers in retirement), close to our kids who live down the hill in Bingen. We had them over several nights for dinner; they also liked the apartment. We would recommend this apartment and stay again.

Great location, comfortable space

We stayed two nights in this lovely basement apartment. We had everything we needed. The bed was super comfortable and the space was open and clean. The owner was out for the weekend and had a guest staying in the upstairs home. The guest was a smoker and the smell permeated out space. I emailed the owner who apparently addressed this issue because the second night was much better. There is a lot of noise that can be heard from the upstairs home, voices, TV, and walking on the floors. This wasn't much of a problem but it made the home not feel like it was fully ours. The location of this property is lovely. No direct views of the gorge but the sun went down perfectly to fill the back yard with a beautiful sunset. Easy access, by car, to great restaurants in White Salmon and Hood River. The host was very warm and apologetic about the smoking guest. Would consider this place again.

Thank you guys for the lovely response. Again, apologies for the smoke. For the record, WE DON'T SMOKE, and if our house sitter stays again, she will not smoke in any areas that would impact the space. Yes, the space is attached to out house. While everything is absolutely private (entrance, space, driveway, patio, laundry, etc) and we try to give the feeling of a separate space, like other attached spaces or apartments there will be times when you'll know that someone else shares the building. Hoping that it wasn't too much noise. When we are in town, we go out of our way to be as quiet as possible (as you can see from our other reviews here and on AirBnB). Sorry that we missed you on this trip - and do hope that you'll come stay with us again in the future. Thank you for treating the space so respectfully! Thanks, Tami
