The place was quant and cozy, located in a beautiful area. When we had a concern we got an immediate response. There were also lovely touches like local tea, coffee and lotions.

The place was perfect for what we needed and the price was right... very cozy. Loved that we actually had parking every day(very rare for the area)!! Conveniently had everything we needed near by. We would stay here again if we have the opportunity! Thank you!!

Great location

Was everything we hoped for in D.C. area, easy to get to train stations and everything we needed close by. Communication with owners was great. Will definitely stay again if back in area

Just right...

We spent two nights here and it was just right. There was enough room for the four of us and everything was clean and comfortable. The bathroom, especially the shower, is amazing and the beds are very comfortable. The coffee is a great bonus too! We loved our stay and felt cozy and at home!

Cozy and clean

Really nice apartment, comfy beds, beautiful shower, on a quiet street near a park with lots of wonderful trails for morning walks! And not too far from a great bookshop cafe. Thank you!!!

Wonderful place in a great location!

We were very impressed with Home Sweet City. It was as advertised. Clean and well stocked. It was easy to find and convenient to the Metro, restaurants and the grocery store. The host was very responsive and reached out to check on us during our stay. We’ll definitely look at this place on our next visit to DC!

Great for a family vacation

This basement apartment is comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. The location in Chevy Chase right by Rock Creek Park is excellent for families with young children. I wasn’t sure about street parking, but the spot in front of the house was always available so we had no issues there. Overall, this stay exceeded our expectations!

Stay at Rock Creek

This place was great for the two of us. It’s a little small but you know that going in. Had pretty much everything we needed for a weekend stay.

Peaceful stay in quiet and safe neighborhood

My spouse and I stayed with our infant son for over a week at this neat, nice, and well-equipt place. The host lives upstairs with their family who were quiet and friendly. The place is spectacular for the price. The only downside is that it's a 10-ish min walk to the nearest public transportation (bus stop). If you have a car this place is ideal. Would happily stay again if ever in the area

Perfect for our family

Lara & Alex’s apartment couldn’t have been more perfect for our family of five (plus 2 dogs!). Plenty of space, and there were even books for our children to enjoy. We loved being so close to Rock Creek Park, but also the proximity to major thoroughfares for the DC/MD/VA area. If we ever need a place to stay on future visits to the area, I hope we are permitted to return to this property.

Wonderful Spot for a DC tourist

It was a perfect-sized place for my daughter and me to stay as we toured DC. The neighborhood was quiet and safe and we hardly ever heard the upstairs neighbors. Our only trouble was figuring out how to get the key out of the lock box and open the door as the porch light was out. The owner said he would fix it that weekend so I'm sure it is all taken care of for the next guests.

Perfect for our family of 4!

This was a cute little apartment, well kept, and the owners have made the most of the space. My priority is always a good nights sleep, and the mattresses were comfortable with quality linens. I also appreciated the generous supplies of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, TP, etc. The owners also left us a lovely supply of high end coffee and teas, such nice touches! There was plenty of parking as promised, and the neighborhood was lovely. It’s a short and easy drive to the metro and a city garage next to the metro (you do pay to park there). Great experience!

Small and clean property. We missed one night stay due to flight cancel and no refund or offer from the host. that is only concern for me. Everything ok other than that.

1. Beware of the additional fee that Expedia or Vrbo may charge additionally after you pressed the Confirmation button. I was charged an additional fee after I received You’re all set email. After I made a complaint over the phone, seemed to be removed without any explanation. 2. The place is a BASEMENT, but it was newly renovated and almost everything is perfect. We came across a few issues but we got help right away. The place and linen and towels were very clean. 3. Parking might be a problem if only the side of the road in front of the house is ok to park.

We rented the property for the use of our adult children and their children while they visited us in D.C. They could not have been happier with the choice of a place to stay. They loved the location in a neighborhood setting close to the park and easy access to the rest of the city. They apartment was perfect for them and they were very happy with the accommodations. The Home Sweet City team was great to work with. They responded quickly to all questions and needs from booking the property to keeping the temperature in the unit just right. They are friendly and professional.
