We are addressing the condition of the furnishings, availability of basic condiments, and reviewing the listing photos and access details to improve clarity and comfort for future guests. We’d also like to note that the owner shared the home was left in great condition overall, aside from the tap issue, and appreciated how respectfully the home was treated.

We were a little surprised by the cleanliness - as this home usually gets stellar reviews - however we will of course pass your feedback onto the cleaner. Hi Beryl, We appreciate that reviews are your opinion of your experience, but we feel it is important to clarify the events before, during and after your stay at Ocean Breeze. We were informed of an issue with one (of the two) dishwashers the day you were due to check in and we promptly called you to inform you. Your response at the time was that there was no issues in fact your words were along the lines "we're not allergic to washing dishes by hand". We heard from you during your stay when your partner rang to complain that he couldn't get the stove working. He did admit during the call that everyone else in your group could work it but not him and that was somehow meant to infer that the stove was defective, rather than a case of user error. During that call, he mentioned the lights in the downstairs living room had switched off. We ran through a checklist of solutions only to discover that the safety switch had gone off as you had every electrical item in the home turned on. That call concluded with him saying it wasn't a big issue. We got an electrician out immediately following your stay who confirmed there was no issue and that you'd simply over loaded the fuses. To then receive a call after your stay asking for a refund is disingenuous at best. Perhaps you misheard Caleb when he said he'd talk to the owner and call you back IF your complaints were deemed sufficient to warrant a refund, which they most clearly were not. We would respectfully suggest you may wish to stay at a hotel in the future where a concierge service can assist with the type of complaints you have voiced. The team at Phillip Island Holiday Homes
