Great location

The house was beautiful, but ants were everywhere when we checked in. The cleaning crew was still there at 4:30pm. After two days of traveling we just wanted to get in the house.

Thank you for your feedback. While we’re glad to hear you found the house beautiful, I’m so sorry for the inconvenience you experienced upon arrival. After a long couple of days traveling, we completely understand how disappointing it must have been to find ants and to have the cleaning crew still finishing up at 4:30pm. This is not the standard we aim to provide, and I will be addressing both the pest issue and the timing of the cleaning with our team to ensure this doesn’t happen again. We truly appreciate you letting us know and hope you’ll consider giving us another opportunity to provide the seamless experience you deserve.

Great for kids, tiny and big

Layout was great for staying with our little guys. Living area and kitchen had tons of natural light, a huge deck and built in baby gate to keep them with tons of space for their activities. Even with the pool I never had to worry about them venturing out unless we were ready. Rooms were spacious and clean, and kitchen was well supplied. Definitely coming back!

Great House!

The house was set up nice and very fun! Kitchen and TV near the pool area, quick walk to the beach, located next to Crab Trap(great restaurant! I do feel the outside/pool area could use more maintenance, and the pool heater is a charge, not free, so if you go in fall be prepared for that. Overall I would recommend this house!

This house and the management company were both fantastic! I have not one negative thing to say about the property. It’s perfect for a family vacation. The pool and pool room are a great addition. Close to the beach in a gated neighborhood. Property was very clean and well stocked. It’s well worth the money. I would love to stay here again in the future.

Very nice

We really enjoyed our stay at the Sea Salt Retreat. The location was great, the house was fabulous and the hot tub / pool were very nice. The property management company wasn't very responsive and did not fix an issue we reported while we were there. That's the only challenge we had.

Amazing Trip

Our family had an amazing time in Destin. The house was wonderful and it was exactly what we had hoped for. The only downside was that the pool heater stopped working after our first day. However, they did refund the money we had paid to have the pool heated. We would absolutely stay at this property again. It was easy to find and very close to the beach and other areas of Destin.

Beautiful comfortable house, but very poorly managed.

The house and location were great, but our stay was spoiled by poor management. We never received gate codes and had to call VRBO support just to get in. The house was clean, but there were no basic starter supplies—no soap, shower gel, dishwasher pods, or laundry detergent. We went to Whole Foods to buy our own. The icemaker didn’t work either. At checkout, we were asked to run the dishwasher, but since there was no detergent, I messaged the manager for guidance. Instead of helping, she responded sarcastically and accused me of using the supplies and not replacing them. I explained we never received any, but she insisted the kits were there and called me a liar. When I asked for proof, she said cleaning crew photos are “internal only.” Very unprofessional and rude. We loved the house but won’t be back because of how we were treated.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we sincerely apologize for the challenges you experienced. We’re happy to hear you liked the house and the location, but we deeply regret that your stay was impacted by management and communication issues. That’s certainly not the experience we aim to provide. We are particularly sorry to hear about the confusion with the gate codes and the lack of starter supplies. This is definitely something we will address with our team to ensure future guests have everything they need for a smooth arrival and stay. Additionally, we are truly sorry for the way your concerns about the dishwasher and supplies were handled. Our goal is to always offer helpful and professional customer service, and we will take immediate steps to review and improve our communication going forward. While we understand your decision not to return, we truly appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention so we can work to ensure a better experience for future guests.

The home was very nice and the location was great. However!!!

However, the entranceway carpet was very stained. For the price I paid for 1 week, $11,200 plus, I think they could replace every several months, if needed. When cleaning out the pool, the garbage was thrown into the yard. Biggest complaint, no working dishwasher. Notified Salt Water on Monday and never did get it fixed. There is a dishwasher in the pool house so took all the dishes from upstairs to downstairs and that one didn’t work either! So we washed dishes the whole week for 11 people. Again, for paying $11,200 plus for one week, I did expect the problem to be fixed or a refund of some kind for the inconvenience.

Amazing home!!

We stayed at this home for a girls trip and it was nothing short of perfect for us. There is not a single negative opinion I have of this home. It's in a gated community with other beautiful homes and located right across from a beach access. We walked a few times but stopped because we ran into a few snake friends on the road lol! The home is spacious...there were 7 of us and we still had plenty of room to where we felt like we weren't on top of each other. The home was very clean. (Some of the other reviews mentioned the pool house was not clean but we did not see any spiderwebs or anything that wasn't clean.) The pool was FANTASIC! It was so nice in the backyard and it was great because in the middle of our trip there was someone that even came to clean our pool but never happens! The porch area was a popular area for us in the mornings...the decor, furniture, and overall feel of the home was so warm and inviting. If you are on the fence about this home, don't be. Book it. You won't be disappointed. Thanks so much for a great stay! We will be back in 2023, 2024, and every other year after that! :)

This property was absolutely beautiful and the location was perfect. Excellent stay!

This was an amazing property in a perfect location. All house amenities were exactly as stated and exceeded expectations. Pool and pool house were adorable and very used throughout our stay. It was a short and easy walk to the beach, which was beautiful. We had to contact management several times due to ants in the kitchen (they responded immediately and helped remedy situation) as well as pool not heating properly (responded immediately to figure out what was going on). Overall, it was a perfect place and would absolutely stay here again!!!

May 2020 Stay

Great house and pool. We loved the “pool house/room” area with kitchen and bathroom. House updated nicely inside with ample space for our 2 families. Only downfall was ourdoor balcony area off family room had spider webs, bugs in webs, etc. all over the walls near the couches and chairs. Also saw a hornet trying to make a nest on a wall above the couch. All in all a great property waliking distance to beach. Advice would be to have balcony area walls cleaned every couple weeks or so and communication with proprty management staff could have been a lot better, but we’ll chalk that up to Covid-related issues. We would definitely recommend house.
