Vores River Rock hjem er beliggende på 8 acres i skoven ned en en mile lang landevej foret med ko græsgange kun 6 miles fra Tomball. Ejendommen har en stor swimmingpool, et udendørs brusebad og et stort ildsted med 10 stole og et picnicbord. Bagsiden gårdhave har en propan brand pit for rolige afslappende nætter. En kuglegrill og en propan grill er til rådighed til udendørs madlavning. Ejendommen har et stort græsareal perfekt for børn at løbe rundt og lege udendørs spil.

Weekend getaway

Visited family over a long weekend and this place was great for hosting our time together. The pool was just what we needed and the house has great space inside. Very relaxing and the wildlife was nice to watch. We had a great time!

Wonderful stay

We stayed here for my son's baseball tournament at Premier Baseball. The ballpark was about 7 minutes away - so convenient!! The cottage was very well stocked with everything we could have possibly needed. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The pool and trampoline were wonderful ways to keep the teenagers entertained. I highly recommend the house for a family stay!

Perfect get away

It was so beautiful and relaxing! The house had everything we needed. The only down fall was there was only one bathroom.

Beautiful Serenity and Wonderful Hosts

This home is a beautiful, peaceful, and tranquil retreat for friends, family, and children. Everything you need is at your fingertips. Home is always clean and beautifully appointed. Relaxing

A great way to relax and feel like you are miles from the city. The pool was a wonderful way to beat the heat. If you don’t want to travel far but want to get away, this is you place.

Loved every minute!

We loved our 9 day stay here. The highlight was the beautiful, large, deep, clean swimming pool that we swam in every day. The home is in a gorgeous remote setting and we loved being surrounded by so much nature. There were lots of different areas to hang out both inside and out. The home was very comfortable and spacious for our family of four. We would love to stay here again!

Amazing Getaway

This house, property and hosts were incredible. You feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere in your own little world. The house was clean and had everything you could ever need for a stay. The outdoors were amazing with huge trees, a great pool, and multiple places to relax. If you’re looking for a place to get away from it all and relax with family and friends, this is it!

Summertime fun

This property was so beautiful. The house was so comfortable and decorated like "Joanna Gaines" style vibe!. The beds were all king size and we slept like a baby. There is so many sitting areas and tables inside and out. The pool was clean and so much fun. Wish I could just stay and retire here. We will definitely come back again. We also seen so many deers in the yard daily. It was an awesome weekend getaway.

Great Stay for Springbreak

We enjoyed our stay very much. We had 7 of us and there was plenty of room. The rooms are much bigger then they appear online. The place is clean and nicely furnished. There is an outdoor shower with hot water which was fun! There is only one bathroom but that helped. Kids loved the pool and ping pong table and fire pit for nighttime smores. Being from Chicago we enjoyed being in the country! Family who runs the VRBO is nice and is local if you need anything. We would definitely recommend it.

Better than advertised!

Amazing property! The pictures do not do this place justice! The pool was fantastic- clean, great temperature, and just enough shallow area for our little ones to enjoy! The house? Wow! It is spread out and comes with anything you could want, including all the pots and pans you'd need to feed an army! The living room is all windows and provides great views of nature. Our kids loved the toys that were provided and the extra space to spread out and play. We cant wait to get back for a longer stay!

The perfect place to relax with kids

We spent a week at the river cottage with our 3 kids (5 to 12 y/o) and had a blast: the house, the pool and the location are perfect to spend relaxing vacations. The house was huge for 5 people, very well decorated, equipped and super clean. Even with some thunderstorms during the week, we could stay inside and play ping-pong or soccer table with the kids. The pool is fantastic, never cold and totally appropriate for young kids who start to swim. We didn't use the fire pit, but usually spent the end of the day there just to relax and watch the sunset. The house is really quiet at night and equipped with night-lights in every rooms: my kids feel loved them! We will absolutely come back.

Full of entertainment

Man did we enjoyed our stay! Plan on booking again when in the area. The house was beautiful in and out. Clean, spacious and full of entertainment. We have a no electronics rule while on vacation and our family was able to disconnect and enjoy the amenities. The pool was clean, with many floats available. The grounds were well kept. Loved using the trampoline, playhouse, the many seating areas, the swing and hammock, and the grassy areas; also the fish pond was nice to look at. The kitchen was well equipped, had everything we needed! And finally the welcome treats left on the counter were a family favorite. Thank you! We will be back

Stunning Property with Wonderful Hosts!

Absolutely beautiful home and property! Tons of wildlife! Saw several bucks, doe's and baby deer!! Home is beautifully appointed and offers every creature comfort you can think of! We made a big fire in the outdoor firepit for New Years Eve! The new hot tub added to the overall ambiance and provided a great way to relax and stay warm during our winter vacation! You couldn't ask for more hospitable hosts! Very attentive and kind! Annegret and Jimmy go out of their way to insure guests enjoy their stay! Check in is always a breeze! If you're looking for a perfect getaway place for friends, family, or children, THIS IS IT! Don't sit on the fence! Wedding in Texas

Beautiful home and has everything you didnt realize you needed for a week long stay with kids. Me and my family came in from NC for a wedding and had a wonderful stay here. The kids, 4 year old triplets and my 10 year old loved everything the house had to play with from toys, sand box, the pool, ect. The owners went out of their way to install child safety locks on all the doors leading outside, which was much appreciated! The pool is not fenced, though was not a problem for my family as my kids are very active in the water and taught water safety. The kitchen was stocked and had everything needed to buy groceries for dinner and cook. Washer and dryer was awesome to have and they had all supplies for you. The property is quite and peaceful! Definitely worth the stay!

Wonderful Family Holiday Retreat!

Everything about our stay was absolutely perfect for our extended family! Smores around the large firepit, hand warming around the gas firepit on the back deck. Watching the owls, rabbits, and deer throughout the day! The deer sitings were pleasantly frequent throughout each day. Home was cozy and warm. Experienced heavy rain over 1 night which allowed us to watch the sky dance from the comfort of the wrap around windows in the living room! My grandson and even my son had a blast on the trampoline! My grandson also loved hanging the hammock outside each day. He loved laying back in it and many times we had to coax him back inside at the end of the day! Kitchen has everything you could need and beds are super comfy! If your looking for a home that offers everything you could need and a beautiful property close to nature, book this home! Thanks Annegret and Jimmy! It's always a joy to stay around RRC!

Hidden Oasis Tucked Among the Trees!

Stunningly beautiful, peaceful, and serene. Frequent daily visits from a total of 11 deer (3 bucks, several doe, and babies! One day while lounging in thr pool several deer came within a stones throw of me and stayed for several munutes! Heard 2 owls every evening and saw one several times flying low along the property! Absolutely PERFECT! Home has an open floorplan that gives plenty of room for everyone. Windows throughout the home allow all of nature in from every viewpoint. The home is very welcoming and provides for every need, want, and desire! Beautifully appointed and bedrooms are extremely comfortable and relaxing! Fully stocked kitchen, wonderful pool, outdoor shower, and large firepits add so much to the overall ambiance of the property. Check in was a breeze and no issues whatsoever during our stay! Hosts are thoughtful, attentive, and genuine! Thanks so much for offering such a wonderful retreat and memories we will cherish always!

Second time here, as memorable as the first time

This is our second stay here, first time was 2016. It’s a magical experience. The second time seems more magical than the first because we already know we had a good time the first time. And having pictures of our kids 6 years ago & today. This place is amazing, the pool is pretty big & in the sun (stayed at a rental where the pool is always shaded due to the trees, not the same at all). The rental is on a massive property allowing for nice walks. This place has an outdoor shower which added to the experience. Showering with the sounds of birds and nature all around us. There are many different seating areas, a place where we can have a bonfire, a fish pond, nicely decorated, indoors & outdoors. You can even see the stars on a clear night. Definitely did not disappoint, this place is amazing & the owners are lucky to own such a beautiful place, The only downfall is that there is only one bathroom that is shared by our whole family.

Absolutely Exceptional in Every Way!!!!

The beautiful, well decorated, cozy, warm and welcoming home along with the caring nature of the owners is why I continue to rent River Rock Cottage again and again. The owners personal touches to the home with vacationers in mind show their thoughtfulness and kindness at every turn! This was our family's third time staying at this tranquil "back to nature" retreat. We would never think of staying anywhere else! This home has so many wonderful amenities it's nearly impossible to capture it all in a review! Morning coffee on the large back deck overlooking the property, afternoons lounging around the pristine pool, summertime bbqs by the pool or back deck, evenings gathered around the large dining room table, playing ping pong or foosball are only a fraction of what can be enjoyed! Evenings on the back deck gave us endless hours of building memories and watching for 2 beautiful owls who would land in the trees right by where we would sit! We could never ask for more of a serene and peaceful time! Thank you Shaw family for the continued joy and delight of our summer stays. You always exceed our every expectation!
