The house was very clean and near shops and things to do. It was a bit of a walk to the beach and there was no place to park when you got there. We went to a beach in Kitty Hawk that had rest rooms and parking

Beautiful home. Every room in the house had a door that lead out to a balcony. The only downside was the fact that the kitchen was on the third floor. Carrying groceries up 3 flights was tiring. Once the elevator is operating again it will be the perfect vacation home.

Great location to the beach, water sports, shops and grocery stores. The pool was fantastic after a day at the beach. The balconies were beautiful and view was great! We are booking again for next year.

This is a 3-story home with a master suite, half bath, living room & kitchen. The middle level has a king suite, a bunk room, and another full bedroom. There is also a full bathroom in addition to the master suite’s. Lower/entry level includes game room, sleeper sofa & full bath. Best part is that it has an elevator! The stairs are easy to climb because there are a few steps, then a landing, and then the direction changes. Every bedroom has a balcony entrance, so does the kitchen, main entrance, and upstairs den. Although we didn’t get to use it because it was so cool, the pool & pool area is large and nicely maintained. There is also a hot tub and outside shower. It’s only 3 houses & across the street from the Sound. You get water views from most of the balconies. It is about 2-1/2 blocks from the Atlantic, an easy treck with a beach entry at the end of the street. It is centrally located to most anything you’ll need. We had some trouble with one of the tvs not programmed/working properly, but we received an immediate response. I would recommend this home, and this area of Duck to anyone.

Excellent Stay

The house was beautiful and very well stocked. The elevator was a huge bonus for my mom and was very helpful for bringing up luggage and groceries. We loved the private pool. The community was wonderful but wish we were just a little closer to the beach.

The house is in a great location and was kept very neat and clean. The shower drain in the 3rd floor master bedroom is backed up. I think it has been that way for some time because it already was before we used it the first time. I would stay here again.

Great family vacation spot!

Upon arrival everything was clean and accurate to description. House was on a gravel road with very little traffic. The house was stocked with everything we needed for a nice comfortable visit - even games for the kids! We had such a great stay and made so many memories, thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Loafing around in Duck

It was a wonderful house loved it!! The only problem was the beach access was difficult trying to get up and down the sand dune . It was probably one of the best houses I’ve stayed in and we have been going down to OBX for past 15 yrs . Very well stocked kitchen etc. Rooms were wonderful . Really enjoyed it .

Perfect setting

This home was perfect for our large family group. The rooms are laid out so everyone could have their own private spots but living area large enough for everyone to gather together for socializing and meals. The kitchen was nicely stocked with dishes and cookware. The elevator was a plus for getting luggage to different levels without lugging it up the stairs. Great location with easy walk to the beach. Swimming pool area very nice. Would definitely stay here again.

The house was perfect for our family and cleaned well. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Enjoyable experience and good communication with property manager. Our only issue was that the wrong code to get in the house was given to us and we are thankful we arrived before the office closed so we could get the correct code. Other than that everything was wonderful.

Great Place for a Family Vacation

We stayed at the property for a week. Total family members were 8, which is the right amount for a house this size. The place was very nice. Kitchen was well appointed, pool was nice size and kept perfectly clean. Our biggest complaint was that we were informed less than a month before our vacation that the elevator was not in operation and wasn't going to be working until December. Our oldest granddaughter (5YO) has CP (cerebral palsy) and we picked this property specifically because it had an elevator. There are three floors in this house with the main floor on top. It made if very hard for her to climb the stairs and made it very hard to unload our cars at the beginning of the stay. I don't understand why the elevator was not able to be repaired in a reasonable time and should have been since it was advertised as a big positive for the house. Big disappointment!!

Jeffrey, Thank you for your comments. We are glad everything was great for your vacation except for the elevator. Unfortunately, a new law was enacted in North Carolina since you reserved this house that requires elevators to have certain safety features or else they can not be used by guests. The elevator company has not put the proper safety elements in this property's elevator so we had no choice but to disable the device. We hope this gets corrected soon and you can come back and use the property fully.

Great location and property

Loafing around in Duck was a beautiful property. The views from the decks were amazing. The location was perfect with a short 5 minute walk to get to a gorgeous beach. The beach was not over crowded like so many beaches are because there is no public access, it is just for locals or people staying in the area. We were also just a short drive into Duck or even Corolla to the north. Because we arrived in a Saturday our drive into Duck took a lot longer than anticipated because of the amount of traffic though. During the week however, the traffic was less heavy and it was easy to get around. The house had more than enough space for our party of 8. The 4 children in our party could not get enough of the pool. It was the perfect size and the water started to warm up as the week went on. The adults really enjoyed the hot tub as well. The one downfall I would say was the lack of commodity items like dish soap, extra toilet paper, paper towel, even seasonings in the kitchen. It would have been great to have a little more of that provided to us, but we were able to buy what we needed from the store. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and dishes though. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our time and would definitely stay here again if we are in the Duck area.

The property was everything it said it was. The 3rd floor living space and decks were great! The pool was not overly big, but perfect for our family of 8. Walkable to the beach, the beach was clean and family friendly. We really enjoyed our stay!

On the pro side:The home was lovely, very well cleaned and certainly spaced nicely for our 10 family members. It was very well stocked with kitchen implements, more than needed. Our teen boys loved the pool and pool table.A bit of con:While the carpeting was welcome on stairs and main living area. It’s clearly been used hard by renters and could use a good cleaning. This must be hard to maintain as a landlord.

Nice week in Duck!

A very short walk to a very nice beach. House had plenty of room for our family of seven. The pool and the hot tub were great. Two refrigerators was a big plus. Overall a very good week!

Family vacation 2020

The pool and elevator were heaven sent at this house. My husband has walking issues and the elevator helped him greatly. It was very hot in the beach for several days and the grandkids were happy with the pool. The house had everything we needed.

Enjoyed Loafin Around in Duck!

It was such a great time, beautiful house and would totally rent again! Loved all the amenities and liked that it was a comfortable walking distance to the beach. We fell in love with Duck! We would highly recommend this beach house to anyone looking for a great family vacation!
