Our group of 4 loved staying in this beautiful home. The location is excellent and we loved visiting the local cafes and restaurants and walking along the sea front. Gagan and Gautami are excellent hosts - the comprehensive house manual they provided contains everything you need to know and heaps of information about local attractions. Communication is excellent and they made sure we had everything we needed. The house itself is full of charm and has a lovely timeless feel to it. It is beautifully set up and very comfortable and secure. If I ever get back to Cape Town I would love to revisit this lovely home away from home.

Wonderful location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Perfectly located, well secure, and the owners are quick to respond and happy to provide recommendations for things to do. We absolutely loved Cape Town. Can’t wait to return. Thank you Gagan and Gautami!

We really enjoyed our stay at this location and would highly recommend it for anyone coming to Cape Town. Although there were only two of us, the home is exceptionally spacious and would comfortably accommodate a larger group. It was thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.The location is also very convenient for exploring the V&A Waterfront or the Seapoint areas. There are plenty of great restaurants and cafés within walking distance, and the nearby Green Point stop made it very convenient to catch the Hop-On Hop-Off bus.Gagan and Gautami were extremely welcoming and communicative before and throughout our stay and shared several excellent recommendations for things to do. We also very much appreciated how promptly they responded to and resolved one small item that needed to be fixed in the house.Overall, this was a wonderful experience, and we would gladly stay here again on a future trip to Cape Town.

The hosts were attentive and helpful.The property location was excellent.However, the property itself was a bit run down and in need of maintenance. Woodwork (windows and doors) need attention and re-painting, inside and out. Curtains in both bathrooms had mould on them.The 'double' bed in 2nd bedroom was very small.The bedding on the 2 single beds in the 3rd bedroom was inadequate - duvets too thin and we needed extra blankets.The overall layout was strange. An apartment that can accommodate 6 people, but only seating for 2 in a small TV room. A comprehensive 'welcome' file was provided, but it was sent as a PDF file with the entry instructions and alarm code buried on page 3 or so. It is not ideal to be scrolling through a PDF file on your phone while standing in the pouring rain trying to gain entry.So much simpler if the entry instructions and alarm code were sent as a seperate message - or contained in the first paragraph of the welcome file.

Dear Martin, Thanks for being the considerate guests that you all were and for the review. Your observations are helpful and we have triggered fixes accordingly. We are a bit unsure about what you meant with the living area only accommodating 2 people as there are two lounges - one big fireplace lounge that can easily seat 8 and one TV lounge that seat another 2-3 people on the couch. We checked on you almost everyday and asked if we could do anything to help. We would have been glad to fix at least some of the issues you observed straight away. Anyway, your feedback is very valuable to us as it gives us some very specific points to discuss with the housekeeping team. We hope to host you again in future. All the very best!

Great location

We have stayed at other locations in Cape Town this year and this house was hands down the best located. The parking was good and very convenient . Although our rental did not fit in the garage, we were able to park in front of the garage, which guaranteed a perfect location. Our experience has taught us that parking is a prime qualification in a rental in Cape Town! The house was as described. The only negatives we encountered were that we felt the lighting was a bit dim, and we would have liked to have a tv in the den where the comfortable seating was located. The tv did not accept hdmi, internet ,or apple inputs. This was not a major problem for us. Overall it was a great stay, a classic house.

Great property centrally located if you are going to rent a car — relatively easy to drive around the area and the signage is good. However, try your best to get your rental car in the garage, our hub caps were stolen the first night between midnight and 10 am the next morning! If any your guests have a difficult time with tight steps, those are required to get in. However, the place was very comfortable and very roomy as we had 6 adults and had plenty of room.

Énorme maison d'époque avec plusieurs pièces et beaucoup d'espace. La famille s'y est sentie comme chez nous. Le vin des hôtes était excellents. L'endroit est situé à distance de marche du Waterfront et il est aussi possible de marcher vers le couché de soleil pour Signal hill.

Just close your eyes and reserve this place!

This house, literally in the heart of Cape Town, is a masterpiece of comfort and luxury and is really quite well appointed. It is located on a safe, leafy street in Green Point allowing my family to walk around and soak in Cape Town with a sense of confidence and safety. It is a 10 minute walk to the beach, to the promenade and to the unbelievably beautiful Green Point park. It is a 5-10 minute walk to a bunch of trendy cafes, restaurants and shops. We highly recommend Giovanni and Hudsons. You don't need a car if you stay here as everything is a short walk or Uber away but we had rented one to be able to explore the wine lands and go to Cape Point. The house has all the safety features you will need for a relaxed stay. The bungalow is sunny, airy and cozy and has 3 beautifully appointed bedrooms. The patio is sunny and relaxing and a great place to barbecue. There is a little garden backyard which is refreshingly green and provides a shady spot for a hot afternoon. My three young kids had a gala time living in this secure and family friendly place. The hosts Gagan and Gautami, who live a few streets away, were super friendly and communicative all through and even left a bottle of wine for us - a lovely little touch. I'd recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Cape Town and cares about a safe, friendly, easy space in an excellent location.
