The cabin was clean and everything worked as it should. Great communication with hosts. Very beautiful place and setting.

Just an incredible getaway. If a quiet stay to "get away from it all" (if you choose), this is the place. It's remote, but really just 15-20 minutes away from Fairplay, which is convenient for food, gas, etc.The views are spectacular, and the days are cool (even in the middle of summer). It's a perfect spot for hiking and reconnecting with friends and family. The property is tranquil and picturesque.There is plenty of room to spread out with bedrooms spread out across three levels and lots of places to gather (the great room, the elevated porch, and the lower bar area to name a few).A few things to keep in mind: you are at 11,000'; you will get winded when you exert yourself. The summer months can be long and dry...drink lots of water. This is moose, bear, bobcat, and deer country. Among other things, you have to mindful to not leave trash outside (bagged, binned or otherwise).My family and I highly recommend this property, and the property managers are extremely attentive.

Winter Wonderland

Our stay was spectacular! Chessets lodge is beautiful, it is a winter wonderland. We enjoyed sledding down the mountain and waking up to spectacular views! The cabin is very warm and perfect for a big family!

I am so glad you got to come experience the mountains when it was covered in white! Chessets is the perfect cabin for a large family with plenty of common space for everybody to get together. I am sure sledding was perfect in that area and I love hearing you got to enjoy the surround land even with the extreme weather. I hope you get to come back and enjoy the mountains again soon. Chessetts Lodge

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the stay for Thanksgiving at Chessetts Lodge. Besides being a beautiful home in such a peaceful and serene area, we managed to survive the storm, closed roads and all that comes with that.

Winter Wonderland

Chessets lodge is a winter wonderland! We enjoyed our stay in this gorgeous lodge! The best view of the Rockies ever! Accommodations where fantastic. 35-40 minutes to the beautiful town of Breckenridge.

Awesome House

We had a fabulous stay at Chessett's Lodge. Plenty of room for everyone. Beautiful views! Kitchen is well stocked and beautiful. We had a wonderful time.

Beautiful Home and Property

Our family truly enjoyed our stay. Great amenities, very spacious and the mountains views were breath-taking. Our only suggestions are to provide more soap in the bathrooms, more garbage bags in the kitchen and an extra blanket.

Peaceful

This was a lovely place to stay. Bed was comfy and hot tub was a huge plus. Very secluded and quiet. We even saw a moose while out walking. Would be happy to return.

Great place with altitude

This is a wonderful summer vacation house but renters must be aware of the altitude. The main living space sits at 11,120 ft. above sea level.

Off the beaten path

Property was very nice. Only issue we had was the clothes dryer didn’t work properly. Plenty of room for our family.

Amazing Vacation

We decided to take a small bday trip to Colorado for my boyfriend's 30th Birthday and it was absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend staying at Chessetts Lodge. The home and property are absolutely beautiful. The home is also pretty close to some of the larger cities which allowed us to venture out each day and visit a new city/attraction. We definitely plan on coming back to this home!

Beat the heat

Geat "home base" to doball your adventures from. We were able to hit up Breckenridge ' Bueno Vista, Leadville and numerous other areas for our week long adventures of rafting, zip lining, train rides and ATV trail riding.

beautiful home. perfect size for our group. we ride atvs out there so need lots of parking and circle drives are great.saw moose and elk on cr1. had great time. going to meet next month and will probably rent again for next year

Amazing stay.

The house was awesome, very clean and upkept, plenty of heat in the winter time. Lots of space for 10 people. Road was a little rough getting up with the snow. Took 4 tries on fresh snow with a 4wd dually pickup. Overall wonderful facility.

Amazing Property

This place was the perfect getaway for a week. We were secluded up a little over 11,000 ft elevation with just the snow, wind, and animals as the only thing you could hear. The house was the perfect size for the 10 of us and offered lots of over the top things that made us really feel at home. We will be back during the summer months soon.

Chessetts Vacation

Our family had an excellent time relaxing and unwinding in and around this home. The views were incredible. The home fit our family of four adults & two children wonderfully. The kitchen was well-equipped and appliances were high end. Beds and pillows were very omfortable. Lots of wildlife to see! Check-in, check-out and communication with property managers worked well! Gorgeous home & outdoor space! Overall excellent experience! Thank you!

Great get away!!

Spent the last 5 days at the cabin, it was very clean, well built and the perfect setup for our multi-family. We all enjoyed the hot tub and sauna the kids enjoyed the pool table. We hiked almost everyday at the many trails around Fairplay and spent one afternoon just exploring the property. hosts were very responsive. Beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed our time at the cabin and looking forward to another visit.

Stunning & Spacious Log Cabin

Stunning and comfortable log cabin. We enjoyed escaping the city and getting out in the mountains. The amenities were top notch and the whole property was thrilling to be at. I've never seen so many shooting stars. It was truly a magical weekend in the mountains. Thank you!

Just rent it!!!!

The property was amazing. We had so many places to hang out just at the house. The hot tub was perfect after a day out. It was my birthday and they even left cakes for us. This place is a must, and it was like two vacations in one with the house and it being right up road from Breckinridge.

Nice home, need to provide own essentials, kitchen lacked tools, mixing bowls etc...

Nice location, when they say need 4 wheel drive they mean this! WiFi-not much. Moose visited on our last day!

We provide enough essentials for two days. If your party is large and you are staying for a longer period, you will indeed have to get more essentials!

AWESOME!

This was a first class vacation rental. Best we have stayed at. We were so impressed. Real pool table, nice hot tub and instructios for everything except the high tech remote in the basement. The master bath tub was so cool and big enough for 2 people. We definately stay again. Thanks

Amazing Mountain Vacation

The listing for Chessett Lodge is very accurate; it's beautiful! We spent 9 days with our 5 adult children and 2 year old grandson. It allowed us enough space to all sit together and also allowed everyone a place to escape. The views are gorgeous, the house is well equipped. Word of warning, the house is at 11,000 feet; being flatlanders we were unaware of the many forms of elevation sickness.
