Rummeligt, komfortabelt og varmt hus med fantastisk havudsigt

Huset er beliggende i landsbyen Dunquin på spidsen af Dingle-halvøen med bagud på bølgende bakker, vendt ud mod Atlanterhavet og stirrer på Great Blasket Island. Der er smukke strande, naturskønne drev, vandreture og en række arkæologiske rester i dette område. Dingle Town, 20 min kørsel væk, er et livligt sted året rundt. Huset ligger i slutningen af en stille banegang i en hektar græsklædt have, masser af plads til at løbe rundt. Rummelig og behagelig, veludstyret med enhver nødvendighed, det er et hjem hjemmefra. Dejlig udsigt fra opholds- og spisestuen og to af soveværelserne. Huset har 2 pejse og er varmt og indbydende, selv om vinteren.

If you want to explore the beauty of the Dingle Peninsula and want a relaxing home with a view, this is what you should book! I must have said a million times, “this is so beautiful.” The home was clean, needed nothing other than a trip to the grocery store for our food.

I can’t recommend Fennesseys Find highly enough as a fabulous place to stay in Dunquin. It is a spacious and very comfortable house with everything you’d need in a secluded location with a fabulous view of the Blaskets. We had a lovely week and really enjoyed our stay. Definitely plan to come back again.

This house is the perfect base from which to explore the Dingle peninsula. There are a number of fabulous walks from the house itself. You are located a short drive from the Blasket ferry, a beautiful beach and only 15 minutes from Dingle's restaurants and pubs. The kitchen is very well equipped and the house is full of things to do on a wet day. I wouldn't change a thing.

Magical Getaway

My family and I had such a wonderful time staying here! The check-in process was so easy, communication with the host was fantastic, and the amenities were plentiful. Views were spectacular! Such a magical place, perfect for a true Irish getaway. Thank you for allowing us to experience it!

Dingle peninsula exploring vacation

We had a wonderful time exploring the Dingle peninsula with Dunquin as our base. Fantastic home and ocean views! Highly recommend this home for a true Ireland getaway!

Wonderful House with a stunning view

Stunning!

The house is gorgeous, with high-quality furnishings throughout and the view of the Great Blasket Island is unsurpassed. My wife, mother-in-law, and two young children greatly enjoyed our week-long stay despite the challenging weather.

Our family of four from Virginia found this home and the surrounding land to be absolutely stunning. The house itself is very spacious and comfortable with gorgeous views out to the sea and nearby islands. Sheep grazing in pastures right outside the door. So many beautiful walks and nearby ancient sacred sites to explore. The town of Dingle has lively pubs and shops a short drive down the scenic slea head rd. Killarney national Park is not far either which was a wonderful day trip. If you’re planning to go to the Dingle Peninsula rent this house and you won’t regret it. I hope we can return someday to this magical spot!

Return to Fennessy’s Find

Our first visit to Fennessy’s Find was 25 years ago with our parents and kids. We returned this time with our kids and their kids. Spectacular house, breathtaking views, charming area. Dingle has so much to offer and this lovely home provides the perfect base.Would return again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful Honeymoon in Dunquin

The location of this house is incredible and easy to find. It is very close to nearly all of the best sites on the Slea Head Drive. The drive to Dingle is beautiful and straightforward. The house itself is wonderful. The views are lovely. The accomodations, again, thoughtful and rustic, were more than enough to stay comfortably for a week. All appliances worked without issues. Communication with Sheelagh was seamless and quick. Sheelagh was very kind to give us recommendations for things to do and see throughout the peninsula, which were great. Overall, a perfect experience. We are so thankful to have stayed here on our idyllic honeymoon experience. Thank you so much!

Wonderful , warm well equipped house with outstanding views of Blasket islands .

The photos cannot do justice to either the wonderful house or breathtaking views . We spent a great week in Sheelaghs house We arrived on a dark and rainy afternoon but the weather was fast forgotten on stepping into such a warm and welcoming house . There was plenty of room for everyone to find their own space to relax. Luckily we had good weather for most of our stay and took full advantage of the great garden and nearby amenities. There is do much to do and see with great walks at your doorstep. It is truly a wonderful, well equipped house in a stunning location. Thanks Sheelagh and for your local tips and advice .

Wonderful Vacation House

The description of this house does not do it the justice it deserves. It is comfortable and homey; well appointed and spacious. The view from the front yard and windows is simply spectacular. We loved exploring the surrounding area, but also enjoyed staying at the house and reading books, and having the children play in the large front yard. Do stock up on food items in Dingle -- then you won't have to leave the house for days and can enjoy the end of the Dingle peninsula. We stayed in many houses during our three weeks in Ireland, this house was by far our favorite. There are many things do to in the area. We loved our day on the Blasket Islands most of all.

Already Dreaming of a Return Trip

To say that we did not want to leave this home is an understatement. Dunquin and the beauty of the Dingle peninsula and the Blasket Islands left us spellbound and planning a return trip before we had even checked out. The views out all of the west windows are jaw dropping and many of the other views are pretty incredible as well (whether looking over a sheep field or the surrounding countryside). The home was comfortable and a great fit for our family as we cooked most of our meals. I loved how Sheelagh has interspersed local art to showcase the culture, beauty and history of this part of Ireland. If you love hiking, photography or just wide-open spaces, spend the majority of your time on this side of the peninsula. Though we had fun in Dingle town (multiple games played at the chip and putt course across from downtown), on a return trip I would limit that to a max of two days and just explore the trails, vistas and other towns of the peninsula. The road that leads to the laneway to the home is directly across from the entrance to The Blasket Center (don't follow the pinned directions from VRBO as that will take you in the wrong direction). We found the center's cafe a lovely place to grab breakfast or lunch (note no real breakfast options for those with common food allergens though). You're around the corner from Dunquin Pier and its amazing views. Tips for future guests: pack your own washcloths and a sharp chef's knife (if you're traveling locally) and arrive before dark.

An amazing how and what a view

We stayed for 2 weeks this aug. It’s by far the best house we have every rented. The homely feel from the min you walk in. The house is very well maintained with tons of extras like fully stocked kitchen equipment, bike if you want to go cycle and plenty of sea equipment. Full utility and internet with Crome case a must for the kids The view from every window is breathtaking. The owners where very helpful and replied very quickly with any questions. I will be back. We had a wonderful stay.

Fabulous house in stunning location

Superb location to discover the beautiful walks and scenery along the Dingle Way. The views from the house of the Blasket Islands are truly spectacular and the house is perfect to sit and watch the ever changing landscape. The house is spacious yet homely and comfortable with a really well equipped kitchen (loved the local pottery). Would highly recommend to anyone hoping to explore this beautiful part of Ireland.

Absolutely perfect. Beautiful location and really comfortable house.

The host was a pleasure to deal with. The house is in a beautiful location with stunning views. It had everything we needed and is very well fitted out. We would recommend renting this house. We spent a week there. There’s lots to do in the area. Hill walking, boat trips, beach activities and many more. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing time here , the house was perfect, clean and well equipped for anything you could need. A great spot for exploring the peninsula and lovely and cozy when the fog rolls in ! We would definitely come back again .

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay - out of the way in a beautiful location with views toward the Atlantic and Blasket Islands. Easy access to walking/hiking trails for all levels of activity. We very much enjoyed the well stocked "cooks kitchen" with everything needed to prepare any meal. Great host, clear and quick communication for any question we had. Wouldn't hesitate a return visit!

Our family and friends have spent many happy holidays in Dunquin, and love the fresh air and wide open spaces, together with the beautiful vistas. A great contrast to city living.

We fell in love with the area because it is an area of exceptional beauty, with wonderful views from the house and round every corner. We love the fresh air , the space and all the stars you see at night - and our house is sturdy and comfortable in any weather. We love it in winter as well as summer.

I love looking out at a panoramic view of the sea, with sea birds diving overhead.
We have lots of space inside and around this house, which is good for the whole family. The kitchen/family area is well provided for and comfortable
I love going for a bracing walk, then lighting a fire, and reading on the couch.
