The host, Doug, was very friendly. He helped find us a restaurant for diner for the whole group and also came to help fix the lights of the swimming pool.

My family and I recently enjoyed staying at Villa Lux Luz. We’re looking forward to returning next year because our stay was fantastic. We were delighted by how beautiful the villa was as soon as we arrived. The villa’s well-kept exterior was charming and classy. One of the best things about our stay was the many available facilities and amenities. We had everything we needed for a comfortable and fun stay at the villa. Making meals in the large, well-equipped kitchen was easy, and the living areas were warm and inviting. The bedrooms were comfortable, so we all slept well. In addition, the villa had everything we could want for a modern stay. We had to pay extra for the Wi-Fi, but it was superfast. There was a big-screen TV and air conditioning. The villa was in a good location. We could walk to restaurants, shops, and Praia da Luz’s beautiful beach in less than 20 minutes. We enjoyed our stay more because everything was easy to get to. The outside space made this villa stand out. The pool and the area around it were charming. It was the ideal spot to relax and enjoy the peace. The kids were kept entertained, which was great! I highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation spot in Praia da Luz. See you next year!

Praia da Lovely!

My family and I have just returned from a stay in this beautiful villa in Praia da Luz, and we cannot fault a single thing during our stay. From the simple booking process to transparent communication with the owner and our dealings with the property manager on-site, we have had the best holiday experience! The villa is set back from the main road, but still, the town and shops/bars/restaurants are a gentle 15-minute stroll away. As agreed, Geoff met us at the villa on arrival and showed us around with a list of instructions and information. It was first-rate! The villa itself is massive! The kids loved playing in the heated pool, and there was a fabulous dining area outside where we sat and ate most nights! The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils and machines you could ask for. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable, and our room had a wonderful balcony we could sit on late into the evening in peace and quiet! The lounge area was comfortable with a big-screen TV and many international channels. During our stay, we needed to contact Geoff as one of the air conditioning units had stopped working, and within an hour, there was an engineer at the door who fixed it immediately! Excellent service, fantastic property and first-rate service. We've already booked to go again next year!

Absolutely Fabulous

Absolutely fabulous stay at Quinta Oceane (QO) in June 2017, we had booked nearly two years ago for 16 of us (our age ranged from 83 to 9 months old) to celebrate our parents 60th Wedding Anniversary. From the time that I had originally booked QO with Doug to the time that our week had finished, the communication was excellent and effortless, the information and recommendations for airport transfers etc was also excellent – a very well organised process. QO is set back slightly to be in a quiet corner with about a 15min walk into town, if our parents wanted to go into town we got them a taxi which was cheap and quick but for ourselves a brisk walk was lovely, the local supermarket delivered free of charge, no matter how large or small your shop, which was really helpful.The images of QO do not do it justice, it is huge Villa with large frontage and electric gate, plenty of room for the whole family to socialise or to spend some quiet time by yourself. The living room was spacious, with pleasant decor and very well equipped with air-conditioning, TV, Games console etc, not that we spent a lot of time inside as outside was just amazing, the kitchen and utility area was also well equipped and clean.Every bedroom was clean, ours opened out to look over the pool area, some rooms had balconies. The bedrooms had lots of storage and excellent en-suite facilities, hand and bath towels were supplied with the booking, but we also took advantage of hiring beach towels from Doug as you will need them. The best time ever was had outside, simply amazing...Orange trees laden with really juicy Oranges, badminton, table tennis, music speakers a massive swimming pool with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas all around (no need to get up early and put the towels out to find a spot), and the children had so much fun in the children’s pool which was about 18inches deep, perfect for the little ones. Then there is the hot tub at the bottom of the garden, we loved it and it was perfect for the evenings In the evening the garden lights lit up the pool and garden area. I think our favourite was the massive BBQ area, which had a covered area with of tables and chairs for those of our party who preferred shade to sunbathing. The BBQ area was extensive, with a huge BBQ, dish washer, in fact we used it to do nearly all of our cooking as it had everything that you needed including fridge, freezer, large drinks cooler. A brilliant holiday. I would highly recommend QC to others.

Dejligt sted

Godt sted til større grupper, god service og meget hjælpsom hus manager, let ankomst og afgang fra huset. Stedet får kun 4 stjerner, da udendørsgrill har så dårligt aftræk at man ikke kan sidde under halvtag og spise, badeværelser mangler bruseforhæng og spa er lidt for kemisk... men alt i alt meget tæt på 5 stjerner.

Re: Cortinas de chuveiro Todas casas de banho da villa são quartos molhados, assim sendo não possuem por natureza qualquer divisória. Re: Spa A empresa que realiza a limpeza e teste das piscinas e spa segue os procedimentos legais de higiene e limpeza usando kits de teste e sua experiência. Amazing villa!

The villa is huge! We comfortably had 18 people of mixed ages holidaying together. The outside area is fantastic & very sociable. We loved the pool but would definitely recommend you pay to have it heated! The hot tub got well used during our week long stay. I would recommend you hire a car though it is walkable to Luz beach & shops! We tried several restaurants in Luz which we all enjoyed & the beach is gorgeous! Doug was great with communication and we received our full breakages deposit back very promptly on our return! We all loved every minute and would love to go back again in the future!

Quinta oceane, Luz

Review of Quinta Oceane, Luz The villa was beautifully presented and luxurious as advertised. The jewel in the crown of this villa is its outside areas, specifically the outside dining/BBQ area with plentiful seating for relaxing and dining outdoors not to mention the separate fridges for drinks and handy dishwasher and sinks for the necessary tidy up afterwards. The pool was fantastic and we loved the table tennis table and volleyball area also. All rooms were clean and well presented and the bathrooms are amonxt the best you will come across with brilliant power showers and bathrooms made out of solid marble. Doug, the villa owner, was increadbly helpful and was quick to answer any questions we had. Because of the villas quiet location you are best to have a hire car to explore the local area although taxis are cheap and relatively easy to organise. The villa is within 5 kilometres of both boavista golf course and espiche golf course which makes it ideal for a golf/family holiday I would book the villa again without hesitation and have complete confidence Doug will afford you the same quality service he gave us.

Total luxury!

Our stay at Quinta Oceane was everything we hoped it would be. The house has everything you could possibly need for a week of fun in the sun. We all had an amazing time and really did not want to come home! The location is quiet and within a comfortable walk to the beach and a gorgeous ice cream shop. Loved the outdoor kitchen/bbq area at the house, didn't feel the need to go out for dinner every night as we loved bbq's with fish bought from the fish market in Lagos that morning! That is an experience worth trying! The best thing about the holiday was not hearing any complaints from the kids, they were far too busy in the pool and playing table tennis, they had a whole week without watching TV! I would definitely recommend this villa and hope to visit again soon!

Paradise in the Algarve

We were 16 friends from Tunbridge Wells and chose this villa at the recommendation of a friend who's been there 1 year before. Algarve is beautiful and we really enjoyed our time there. Quinta Oceane was everything we expected to be and more. We were quite surprised with the size of it and the beautiful grounds around it. The bedrooms are large and nicely decorated. The kitchen is top and has all the cooking tools needed. The villa is secluded yet close enough to most tourist attractions. We drove around and also used the train from Lagos to Lisbon. That was a smart choice as the traffic in Lisbon is insane. For meals, we ate out during the day, and would cook a BBQ dinner at night. There is an excellent truffle restaurant nearby, which we loved. One night Theresa arranged for a chef to come in and cook for us. That was a great experience and we recommend it to everyone. All in all we had a wonderful vacation and will return to Quinta Oceane soon enough.

First class villa!

This was a family celebration for 15 people, ranging from 1-65 years old. Theresa was there to welcome us and show us around and we found the villa was perfect for everything we needed. She was easily contactable throughout the week to answer any questions etc. The children spent most of their time in the swimming pool - the toddler pool was also greatly appreciated! We decided not to order heating for the pool, which was definitely the right decision in July. Plenty of sunbeds and shades provided the perfect setting to relax by the pool. We loved the BBQ area, especially with the provision of additional crockery, glasses, cutlery, dishwasher, fridge/freezer etc. The walk down to Luz was no problem at all and the Baptista supermarket provided a free delivery service, which we made good use of. The week went far too quickly and we were sorry to say goodbye!!

Fantastic Family Villa - Highly Recommended

We were a family booking of 20, ranging from 86 to 1 years old. Theresa was there to meet us and show us around and how things worked. Everything was just as described on the website and in the photos. The villa was spacious and provided everything you needed for a large group holiday. The outdoor space and the main pool area was amazing, lots of beds and enough shade when needed. We certainly made use of the of the outdoor BBQ and kitchen too. Having this outside plus all the glasses, and cutlery etc, made things much easier and we spent a great deal of time in that area, especially on the warm evenings. The villa is a little further away from the beach/Luz than we realised, but didn’t cause too much of an issue. We found the Baptista supermarket who delivered our shopping to the villa for us as we took a leisurely stroll back which made things a lot easier especially when shopping in bulk. The Beach and bars in Luz are really lovely and we had the most amazing family meal in Restaurante Fortaleza on their balcony overlooking the sea. Lots of golf in the area too which my husband and brother indulged themselves in. I would definitely recommend Villa Quinta Oceane to everyone who is looking for a big group holiday and I hope that we can go back again in the near future.

Wonderful Villa

We were a party of 5 families, 19 people including 9 children ranging from 6 years to 15 years of age, staying for a week at Quinta Oceane in October 2015. On arrival, we were grateful for Theresa the manager being there to show us round as the place is huge! Everything was just as described on the website and in the photos, only better. The villa was spotlessly clean, spacious and provided everything you need for a large group holiday. As we arrived late at night, it wasn't until the next day, that we could appreciate the best part of Quinta Oceane - the outdoor space. The main pool area was amazing, with loungers and parasols for everyone, the pool heating was a godsend in October, and the children appreciated all the games and play equipment available for their use. With so much space, everyone was catered for without feeling hemmed in. Often we could find a game of water polo going on in the pool, whilst the boys were playing football, volleyball or badminton on the court, a table tennis tournament raging elsewhere but still with plenty space to chill away from all the action. We couldn't have asked for a better outdoor space, and made use of the outdoor BBQ kitchen too. Having a dishwasher in both the indoor and outdoor kitchen, plus doubled up crockery, cutlery and glasses both upstairs and poolside, made life so much earlier when it came to group catering and dining. And in the evening, there were just so many options for a social gathering; at the BBQ benches, or around the garden sofa area, or upstairs on the terrace enjoying the view to Rocha Negra, or even indoors when it got colder. The villa is a little further out of Luz than we realised, but when it has everything you could want for a fantastic large group holiday, this wasn't an issue, and the spacious, secure and safely enclosed grounds were perfect. Whether it is rest and relaxation, or fun in the sun, Quinta Oceane caters for all. We are already planning our next trip back!

Lovely and clean

We had a lovely time in Portugal, although we should have explored more of the area. Comments re the villa QO, well it is absolutely lovely, plenty of space, lovely and clean, fab bathrooms and a lovely outside area, the barbecue area is a really good idea and plenty of space to keep the bottles cold. I would definitely recommend this villa to any large party. The only negatives were that the crockery in the kitchen was too small, especially the mugs and bowls, we actually went out and brought bigger ones. Also the bed in bedroom 7 I believe, the metal frame one, is way too noisy, although it looks lovely, the squeaking, when you turned over, woke me up through the night. Also, although it was nice to have a gardener look after the gardens and a pool man to keep the pool clean, it would have been nice if they had knocked on the door just to say they were there, the first few times it happened they just turned up and we were all a little shocked to see a stranger, well to us a stranger, wandering round the garden. But these were little things, overall we had a great time there. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished we could have stayed longer. I have only mentioned the above as it may be helpful to any further clients you have.

VERY ENJOYABLE

We stayed in Quinta Oceane for a family holiday to Portugal. As soon as we arrived we knew we had made a good choice! The villa was amazing! It was furnished and fitted out to a high standard and was perfect for us (a family of 15 from three generations). Even though there were only 15 of us, we could easily have filled the villa with 20 people and we would not have felt squashed-it's so spacious. We particularly liked the outside kitchen area which is where we spent most of our mealtimes. Only a short drive to the beach but we actually spent quite a lot of time relaxing by the pools. I would strongly recommend this villa to anyone who wanted to go away in a big group. R&J

We stayed in Quinta Oceane for a week long golf holiday in both 2014 and 2015. The villa was easily big enough for our group of 10 golfers providing each of us with en-suite facilities. The internal lounge and kitchen areas easily accommodate large groups and the external pool are is simply magnificent with a large pool, brand new spa, table tennis, barbecue and seating areas. The villa is ideally located for access to many golf courses and is an easy walk into Luz for the beach and evening entertainment. Our group has been golfing in the Algarve for the past 15 years and this villa is the best one we have stayed in by far.

PERFECT HOLIDAY !

We had a large family gathering to organize and Cosmic Villas have been perfect from the word go. The company have answered any queries or questions quickly through email and even suggested car hire companies to use which was helpful. The villa we used in Portugal was stunning with everything you needed and more. We will definitley use the company again. Thank you to everyone at Cosmic Villas for helping make our holiday perfect.

Great !

I was one of the lucky 20 people who got to experience the villa again. As soon as I arrived at the Airport I felt a great vibe from all who were coming on the holiday. Everyone was already in a party mood, and were all very friendly. Then we arrived at the Quinta Oceane, myself was once again amazed and blown away as was everyone else, of how great the villa was with all the new cool features. We would enjoyed every moment from morning straight through to the morning, it was like living the scene from the a hollywood movie. Everyone became real great friends, and had never met one another before the holiday either which is always key on a Sa'real Adventure. FABULOUS !

Our stay in Quinta Oceane was absolute fabulous. We enjoyed having that big private zone where the grown- ups could relax and the children play and swim as much as they wanted. The place was well organised and well equipped, and the manager very helpful. The village with shops and restaurantes, and the beaches were only a walking- distance away, but far enough to make Quinta Oceane a peaceful place. Thank you for a wonderful stay! Best regards Bodil

Family Holiday

We were a party of 20 ranging from 12weeks to 78years. The villa accommodated us all very comfortably and all areas were clean and well maintained. There is an excellent supply of cooking equipment and barbecue for self catering. We found that the pool does need heating even in August. The paddling pool is unheated and was cold. Theresa the manager was very helpful. The three cyclists hired bikes and found the terrain interesting! All in all an excellent week enjoyed by everyone. Many thanks Peter and Brenda

SUPER URLAUB

Das Haus liegt wunderbar ruhig oberhalb von Luz. Die Villa ist stylish eingerichtet, das Geschirr, Besteck und die Gläser sowie die Kücheneinrichtung von gehobenem Standard. Die Poolanlage ist super, alles ist gepflegt und gut ausgestattet. Toll ist, dass man sich jeden Morgen seinen eigenen Orangensaft pflücken und pressen kann, des Weiteren wachsen einem die Mandarinen und Zitronen in den Mund. Schöne Grill- und Lounge-Ecke, luftige Terrasse mit schöner Aussicht. Viel poolspielzeug und Kinderspielzeug vorhanden. Villa ist eingezäunt und sicher mit genügend Parkmöglichkeiten. Sehr zu empfehlen ist die Poolheizung, für Kinder ein Traum. Schöne Zimmer und große Badezimmer. Ein Manko war das nicht optimal funktionierende Fernsehen über Wlan, was aber noch verbessert werden soll...

Amazing spacious property. perfect!

The villa was absolutely fantastic. Theresa was really helpful when we arrived, showing us around and telling us where things where ie, supermarket. We had everything we needed from pots & pans to hairdryers!  From walking in the 1st night it was amazing, definate WOW factor, plenty of spacious rooms to choose from and the the fact they were all en-suite made it even more perfect.  The outdoor area was really spacious and beautiful, the children and adults loved the fresh orange juice every morning from the trees by the pool. Pool was cleaned twice whilst we was there aswell.  We all loved the fact that the bbq area had everything we needed down there rather than carrying things up & down from in the villa. The whole villa is big enough to enjoy time together with all your friends & family , really sociable.  I will and have recommended this villa to anyone that will listen. We will definitely consider this villa again for future holidays. Amazing holiday in a fantastic villa, in beautiful surroundings, the only downside was only booking for a week and not two.  Fully English speaking owner based in UK and manager in Portugal. Very friendly .

Passamos umas férias excelentes na Quinta Oceane em Maio deste ano. Nesta ocasião 26 membros da nossa família juntaram-se de vários locais mas em geral somos de Lisboa. Optamos por está Quinta por nos ter sido recomendada por um dos nossos amigos que tinham passado umas férias memoráveis. A quinta Oceane foi tudo e mais do que esperavamos. Ficamos surpreendidos na enormidade da propriedade e do jardim. Os quartos são todos duplos com suite e alguns são triplos. A cozinha é grande moderna e bem equipada. A vivenda é localizada numa zona muito sossegada mas ao mesmo tempo é bem localizada para todas as amenidades. A piscina é enorme , só posso sugerir que optem por aquecimento da água. Normalmente almoçava mos fora num dos vários restaurantes na Luz ou em Lagos. à noite aproveitava mos da zona de churrasco (optimamente equipada) e assim desfrutamos duns belos jantares. Numa das noites a Dª Theresa sugerio que conhecia um bom Chef que de ves em quando cozinhava para os clientes na Quinta, aceitamos e tenho que dizer que foi uma refeição deliciosa. Em tudo foram umas óptimas férias e é sem duvida que á voltaremos.

Fantastic holiday

We had a wonderful week, the weather was perfect and villa superb and fully up to expectations. The villa a bit further away from the town/beach than we expected, but this was not a problem because the pool and villa were so good.
