Fantastic setting. Very relaxing and a short walk into the town. Maggie and family resolved a couple of minor things ( hob & gate entry at 1 am) which saved the day - thank you. We used the tennis court, BBQ and pool each day and spent most our time outside. Beds were comfortable, a clean house and lots of extras if you needed more activities. The hillside location was perfect, but not if you don't like steps / hills.Last, but not least, a fantastic garden, with plenty of olive trees.

Lovely house in a magnificent setting. Ideal base for travelling in and around Grasse and the surrounding villages and towns as well as Nice.Hosts were friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay & would highly recommend this property

Wonderful villa in beautiful gardens

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful villa, located just outside of Grasse. The gardens were amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed playing tennis on the spectacular court. The pool was lovely and we enjoyed eating outside many evenings. Maggie and Cyril were very welcoming and helpful.

Girls weekend

Lovely villa in beautiful grounds. House is equipped with everything you might need. Very good communication with the hosts too. Had a wonderful time staying here and would highly recommend to friends and family!

Fantastic sray

We had a fantastic stay. The landlady was extremely helpfull and friendly. The house was cool and confortable. We enjoyed the pool and tennis court with stunning views. We can recommend the guesthouse to any family.

Enjoyable stay......

Enjoyable and comfortable week's stay. Cyril and Emma were most helpful in the couple of issues we had: remote entry code did not work, and pool needed cleaning. Nice views to the Med and surrounded by a lovely garden. Some way out of Grasse (20 minutes walk to city centre), but very peaceful.

We were a group of five and we all agreed that we had had an amazing experience.I am a gardener so I have some understanding of how much effort is required to keep gardens in the kind of condition that one beholds here. Everything is pristine.The guest house was delightful. The kitchen was well laid out and has everything one could need. Our group of five had plenty of room at the kitchen table.Each of our rooms was well appointed, and the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were more than adequate. It is an old house and one has to understand that things may take a little tweeking.Emma and Maggie were the most delightful hosts. They were available at our beck and call. All of our needs were taken care of.Our tour of the gardens on our last day was the finishing touch of a perfect week.

Grasse

Wonderful property, splendid gardens, in a quiet mountainside location with views of the surrounding hills and mountains and the Mediterranean in the distance. My wife, son and I used this as a base to visit the surrounding area (Nice, Cannes, Antibes, St Paul, Gourdon, Grasse). The best part of every day was returning home to our mountainside oasis. Lady Lockett could not have been kinder or more helpful in making our stay a delight.

Wonderful stay

We had a fantastic time in this beautiful house and garden. Cyril was very friendly and helpful especially when we had somethibg to fix. Thank you again! We didn't have to take care of the garbage, which was also very nice. Thank you for everything! P. S. During our stay, the free-running dogs of the owners were present and also came to us. You should clarify beforehand whether you are afraid of dogs or whether they will not be on site at the time of the trip.

We stayed here as a family of 6 in mid-July seeking a quiet place to relax with beautiful mountain views. This charming 300-year-old provincial-style stone home is a small villa on a large, multi-acre property owned by a very nice family. The grounds are beautiful, and the mountain views are stunning. The pool was a highlight.The kitchen was well-equipped with a few coffee pods and laundry basics. However, as a historic home, it lacks modern amenities and no toiletries were provided. There was no guest instruction book — all info came via the Vrbo app.No air conditioning is listed. The interior got extremely hot and uncomfortable during summer days, making it hard to be indoors or sleep at night. Extra fans from the host helped somewhat, but opening windows brought in mosquitoes and bugs. Ants were a bug issue on the patio despite using the provided repellent. Bees were everywhere. If you dislike heat or bugs, this may not suit you.Bedrooms are small for 6 people; mattresses need replacing. One has two twin beds suited only for young children. The upstairs toilet had a bad septic smell; other bathrooms were small but fine. The narrow driveway was challenging for our car.This 300-year-old villa offers authentic charm, peaceful surroundings, and great views. Ideal for cooler seasons or smaller groups prepared for older-home realities.

It does not have air conditioning, as stated in the listing, and your stay coincided with one of the hottest summer heatwaves our region has ever experienced. We were happy to provide extra fans to help during these exceptional temperatures. Being surrounded by nature also means sharing the environment with bees, butterflies, and other insects. We deliberately avoid excessive pesticide use to protect the local ecosystem and pollinators, while managing pests as responsibly as possible. We appreciate your feedback and we’ll take all your comments into account as we continue improving the experience for our clients. Thank you again for staying with us, and we hope to welcome you back during one of the cooler seasons to enjoy the property at its best.

Paradise!

We were so impressed with this charming, spotless home-away-from-home, nestled among olive trees and terraced gardens, with the pool and all amenities you could want. There was ample space for two couples to enjoy peace, quiet and privacy, and yet cook and dine together either outdoors on the flagstone patio under the umbrella, or inside the comfy kitchen. It was the perfect respite after a hot, crowded visit to Cannes, Nice, or Monte Carlo, or into Grasse, all easily accessible by Christophe’s taxi service and/or train. Our hostess was very personable and helpful in setting us up with the taxi in the beginning, and we were able to arrange outings with him ourselves afterwards. We would certainly recommend this beautiful getaway for a family/friends holiday.

English gardener's slice of Mediterranean paradise

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this delightful stone villa overlooking Grasse with the sea in the far distance. At every turn we noticed attention to detail and superb maintenance. (Do they paint and renovate between each rental?) The owner has taken 15 years to renovate the numerous stone walls and has lavishly landscaped every nook and cranny, creating an English gardener's Mediterranean paradise. It is kept up meticulously by several full-time landscapers. The grounds are extensive; it took several days to wander through their entirety. It would be wrong to just overnight here; you must give yourselves time to enjoy the experience of just being here and soaking in the atmosphere. We have traveled extensively and have never stayed anywhere more impressive. The property is on a side-hill; there are a few stairs between the driveway and the guesthouse; many more to explore all the gardens.

Don't miss a chance to stay at La Mouissone

If you want to wake up in the morning and step outside your delightful Provencal Villa with its own swimming pool to see a landscape so spectacular that you just have to smile, ‘ La Mouissone’ is your place. This is not a slick , faceless modern villa: it has been modernised but fits into the style of the region of Provence-Alpes-Côte D’Azure. It’s clean, fresh and charming and set high up on the slopes in one of the most stunning locations of the region. It has breath-taking vistas across steep slopes and valleys of olive groves, scattered hamlets and cypress trees, to the coast, with the sea washed across the horizon. I found the hosts charming and very helpful (thank you!) and I was in awe of the now mature, extensive gardens that they have built from scratch and planted up with many unusual plants amongst the Mediterranean planting. At every turn there is something else to see and to explore, another area of garden design to catch your interest, or another stunning view to take in. It’s a holiday that will revitalise you: simply being there will nourish your soul and fill you full of wellbeing, and then there’s the region to explore. Close by and a lively walk away is the ancient quartier of Grasse, full of the romance of a French Medieval town; Cannes and the coast is around 17km away, Antibes and it’s beaches about 27 km away; there are day trips into the surrounding countryside and other medieval villages like St Paul de Vence. Don't miss a chance to stay here

Such an incredible stay - truly felt like an oasis and tranquil escape from the summer heat. The surrounding gardens were such an amazing perk and unexpected highlight. The house was large and had great amenities and the yard and pool area were also amazing and well kept.Lady Lockett and Cyril who helped us check in were very responsive. We hope to return at some point!

Mooi authentiek huis met zwembad en fantastisch uitzicht!

Wij hebben heerlijke dagen gehad in dit mooie schone, comfortabele, koele & authentieke guesthouse met heerlijk zwembad en een fantastisch uitzicht richting de zee! Mooie tuin met terras met grote parasol en meerdere zitjes. Het huis ligt op een prachtig aangelegd terrein met veel olijfbomen en meerdere terrassen met veel hoogteverschil. Ook de tennisbaan heeft een fantastisch uitzicht! Vlotte communicatie met de eigenaresse en ter plaatse fijne en snelle communicatie met Cyril! Perfecte locatie om de steden aan de kust te bezoeken, maar ook de natuur in het aangrenzende binnenland is prachtig! Ons verblijf was te kort!

excellent sejour

la propriété est bien située au calme avec une vue exceptionnelle sans vis-à-vis. La piscine et le court de tennis sont très appréciés. La maison est très bien équipée, confortable et très bien entretenue. Nous remercions également le régisseur toujours disponible pour nous renseigner et intervenir en cas de besoin. Un lieu magnifique pour des vacances réussies en famille.

Havre de paix

Séjour très ressourçant de 3 nuits, en famille, au sein de cette magnifique maison. Le lieu est enchanteur avec un cadre incroyable, une vue époustouflante et au calme absolu. La propriétaire, charmante, nous a permis de visiter son magnifique domaine botanique en restanque, fleuris. La Maison est conforme à l'annonce et photos et bien équipée. Vous apprécierez de vous prélasser dans la superbe piscine. Le +: le terrain de tennis très bien entretenu, avec vue, qui jouxte la maison. Nous recommandons vivement le lieu ;très belle découverte
