4 sovepladser. Beliggende i en clifftop placering i udkanten af landsbyen Mullion på Lizard Peninsular. Betagende udsigt over havet og kysten. Meter fra kyststien og ideel til hunde. Mindre end 10 minutters kystvandring ned til smukke aflukket sandstrand Polurrian Cove. Sommerhuset ligger få meter fra Polurrian Bay Hotel, hvor gæsterne kan nyde gratis brug af den indendørs pool, fitnesscenter, tennisbane og udendørs pool samt hotellets afslappede og fremragende spisestue. De kan også slappe af i spaen, hvor der findes et bredt udvalg af behandlinger. Sommerhuset har et åbent køkken, spisestue / opholdsstue, et badeværelse, en privat gårdhave med siddepladser og off-road parkering. Mullion landsby er en kort gåtur væk. Der er butikker, pubber og restauranter inden for 15 minutters gang. Kyststien passerer foran ejendommen - drej til venstre, og det er 15 minutters gang til Mullion Cove og dens dramatiske havn med coasteering muligheder. Drej til højre og en anden 15 til 20 minutters gang tager dig til Poldhu Beach (for surfing og åben hele året Poldhu Beach Cafe. Floden Helford (til sejlads og Daphne du Mauriers franskmansk bæk), den spektakulære Kynance Cove, charmerende Cadgwith Cove og firben (Storbritanniens sydligste punkt) ligger alle inden for en kort køretur.

A well-equipped and very comfortable apartment. It has been thoughtfully set up and gave us such a fabulous base for our break. We found every aspect of our trip delightful. The Lizard peninsula in all its beauty is on the doorstep and there is so much to explore and enjoy.

Perfect for a week for our family of 4. Right at the top of the path down to the beautiful Polurrian beach and literally right on the coastal path. The walk round to mullion cove only around 15 minutes. Clean and compact with all the utilities you might need whilst staying. Beds super comfy. We enjoyed breakfast/coffee everyday looking out to the ever changing coastal view across to St Michael’s Mount and beyond. And a bonus to be able to use the hotel facilities, with possibly the most scenic tennis court we’ve ever played on! Would definitely recommend and hope to return soon.

Fantastic location, accommodation was perfect for our family, it had everything you need for a self catering stay, and with the added facilities at the hotel across the road there is a bar, restaurant's games-room, gardens with outdoor seating/ loungers. and great views. Just standing outside the bungalow you can watch the most amazing sunsets. Very near to local attractions, short drive to various beaches or a short walk from the bungalow. Our host was really helpful and gave us lots of information. Would definitely stay again.

Idyllic

The property was exactly as listed. Very nice with all mod cons and a lovely sun trap terrace. It is perfectly located on the coastal path, near to a super beach and use of the hotel facilities is a great bonus. We’d love to come back. Many thanks for a fabulous week.

Beautiful part of the world

The chalets location was perfect close to sea and coastal walks in all directions. The added bonus of having free access to the Polurrian hotel was brilliant we loved the indoor and outdoor pools plus the free WiFi when at the hotel. In hindsight the property was a little to cosy for us 4 adults and 2 dogs would best suit 2 adults or 2 adults and younger children. However we had a lovely time and Mullian is a great base with all amenities and loads to do out and about.

Miniature getaway with charm

Columbine is tiny but well equipped with comfy beds and quality fittings, linen etc. The situation, on the coastal path with spectacular views, access to a pretty beach with good swimming and the amenities of Polurrian Bay hotel should you want them, could not be bettered. The little yard behind, nice for sitting out, is a bit drab. We had a great time. So did our dog.

Great location for coastal path walks!

Just got back from a fab holiday in Mullion. The property has everything you need and was so clean when we arrived! The main thing we loved about the property was the location, it is right on the coastal path, perfect for our dog. The views from the cottage are amazing, especially at sunset! We loved staying in Mullion as it’s quiet but has shops for essentials and places to eat. We went to the old inn pub a few times, great little place and very busy every time we went. Booking needed for the restaurant but if you can get a table in the bar or outside if the weathers nice, you can order food. Would definitely stay here again!

Fabulous week

What a great little house! It suited our needs perfectly, 2 adults, 2 young boys. Incredibly clean, comfortably furnished and very well equipt. Our friends were staying in one of the other houses in the row which also worked very well! Great location, walking distance to village centre which has several great places to eat and drink. Brilliant park in the village, perfect for picnics on the beach when its nice -amazing soft play centre nearby in Helston for when its not! Beautiful views from the property, stunning coastal paths, all round fab fab fab, definitely worth a visit - we may very well be back!

Location better than lodge.

We stayed here for approx 4/5 nights. It was reasonably comfortable but I must admit pretty basic, e.g furnishings etc and it’s overall size was small. I think a stay for 4 guests would be tight. The kitchen was very well equipped though, which was good- as I like to cook.When we arrived it was clean and tidy.However, what sells this property is it’s location, with lots pretty coves and beaches near by and all within walking distance. So for couples with dogs it’s ideal. You can see and hear the sea from this property, so for that it was fab.

Cottage with cosy atmosphere in beautiful location

We spent a lovely holiday week with our two sons, 15 and 11 years, in Columbine Cottage. Although the cottage is rather small it has all you need for a good and relaxing time. It is lovingly decorated and the mattresses were very comfortable - we all slept very well and long. The place is so quiet and peaceful! The boys enjoyed the possibilty to swim in the indoor pool of the hotel in the neighbourhood. The location of Columbine Cottage is unique, it is located directly next to the coast path and in 5 minutes walk down a path you reach Polurrian Cove. We can highly recommend Columbine Cottage to everybody who likes holidays in a peaceful and quiet area, next to the overwhelming nature and scenery of the Lizard Peninsula. A forgettable holiday! Thank you!

Dear Frauke I'm so glad you enjoyed your time at Columbine and made the most of all the Lizard has to offer. The cottage is compact you are right especially with two teenage boys who are similar ages to ours, however, as you say the availability of the local Hotel indoor and outdoor pools and tennis court which you can use free of charge, along with the sun-kissed outdoor terrace and its proximity to a beautiful secluded sandy cove you can walk to help compensate for this. Our future plans include a rear extension and kitchen refurbishment to enlarge the eating area which should offer more feeling of space.

Mullion

Fabtastic location for coastal path walks. 20 minute walk into the village- The Galleon fish and chips are brilliant and we had a lovely dinner at The Old Inn. Also, you can go over the driveway to Polurrian Hotel for drink and use the spa. We found some aspects of the property a bit tired but every thing you beed for your stay. Could do with more hanging space for clothes is staying longer than a few days. The access to the secure garden was tiresom with our puppy - the patio door in the back bedroom is the only access to the decking area. Also, the decking is rotting in places so an outside light would be good so you could see your footing in the dark. We did find the bed very comfortable

Lovely cottage but in need of some TLC

Lovely cottage, however lots of TLC required. Windows difficult to open and close. A couple of the windows the double glazing had blown. Decking was soft in places. The shower barely drizzled out. The property wasn’t particularly that clean upon arrival, and there were rats in and around the bin. On a positive note, perfect location and great to have the use of the hotel facilities opposite, especially the shower!

Beautiful location but cottage damp

Lovely destination, great to be able to walk to the beach, shops and pubs. The location is beautiful. The kids loved swimming in the hotel pool every day and plenty to do in the local area rain or shine. The maritime museum at Falmouth was great for a rainy day. The only downside was that the cottage was damp. The smell in the twin room and kitchen was overwhelming and we had to dry the bedsheets on arrival. I emailed the owners on our return in case they were not aware of this problem. As I didn’t receive a response I can only assume it is an ongoing problem. I would not recommend this cottage unless you have assurance from the owners that the damp has been fixed.

Wonderful Holiday

We have just returned from an amazing holiday. The accommodation was of adequate size for our family of 4, along with the dog. We stayed for two weeks so had plentiful opportunities to visit various places including the use of the hotel facilities, which were superb! It is right on the South West coastal path, which was ideal for beautiful coastal walks (each day) with our dog. During our stay, we visited: Polurrian Cove, Poldhu Cove, Mullion Harbour and Cove (dog friendly), St Ives, Penzance, Falmouth, Helford Passage, Mousehole, Newlyn, Kennack Sands Beach (dog friendly), The Lizard, Porthleven, Helston, Gunwalloe Beach, Coverack (dog friendly beach), Porthoustock Beach (dog friendly), St Keverne, Upton Towans Beach (dog friendly) and Gunwalloe Church Cove Beach. It was an amazing location to visit so many places. There are a lot of dog restrictions on beaches (in the area), but we managed to track down a few that were ok, which was great. Mullion village is lovely too! We had a meal in the Old Inn Mullion, which was delicious. We did book, so would advise. We also tried a curry from the Cornish Curry Company (in the village), which we enjoyed. There is a CO-OP and Spar, which is all within walking distance of the accommodation. One night we even had a fantastic meal at the Polurrian Hotel! I would certainly recommend staying at this place. Lucy was so helpful in providing detailed information about the trip and accommodation. A fantastic trip!

We een heerlijke week gehad in Mullion, wat een fantastische plek. Het uitzicht is waanzinnig. Het huis is klein, maar gezellig en goed ingedeeld. We vonden het ook allemaal heel fijn dat we gebruik konden maken van de faciliteiten van het hotel.

Die Lage ist top, aber leider gibt es keinen Ausblick (nur auf das parkende Auto im Wohn-/Essbereich). Die Terrasse ist mit einem Bretterzaun verdichtet, so dass auch kein Meer zu sehen ist. Im Bad sind Schimmelflecken. Es gibt keine Duschhandtücher (was angeblich auf der Homepage steht, ich aber nicht gefunden habe).Direkt neben der Terrasse war die ganzen zwei Wochen eine Baustelle mit lärmenden Maschinen.

Wir hatten 12 wundervolle Tage in der Unterkunft, sie hatte die perfekte Größe für eine 4 köpfige Familie. Außergewöhnliche Lage, direkt am Meer und Coast Path. Die netten Nachbarn waren ein zusätzlicher Bonus und haben viele Geheimtipps mit uns geteilt. Die Küche ist ein wenig älter, aber es halt an nichts gefehlt und wir haben viel in der Küche zubereitet. Das Hotel und den Pool haben wir nicht genutzt, da es nur 30 Minuten möglich war. Das hat sich nicht gelohnt. Da geht man lieber nochmal kurz zum Strand. Wenn man, wie wir mit Hund verreist, sollte man allerdings wissen, dass Hunde um Juli und August nur morgens und abends am Strand erlaubt sind. Die Betten waren sehr bequem, so gut habe ich selten im Urlaub geschlafen. Die Terrasse ist traumhaft, um dort zu frühstücken, Neoprenanzug zu trocknen, oder zum sonnen. Das Einzige was wir uns noch wünschen könnten, wäre eine Waschmaschine. Uns hat ein Kleiderschrank gar nicht gefehlt, wir haben alles gut untergebracht und fanden es so geräumig und nicht zugestellt. Schön, dass wir da sein dürften.

Unglaublich tolle Lage, süßes Cottage

Die Wohnung ist klein, aber sehr sauber und toll eingerichtet. Man kann den hoteleigenen Pool nutzen und ist direkt am Coastpath. Wir hatten eine wirklich tolle Zeit und kommen gerne wieder! Vielen Dank!

Tolle Unterkunft in optimaler, sehr ruhiger Lage zum Wandern, Surfen und Erkunden des Süd-westlichen Cornwalls. Wir haben auch gerne das kostenfreie Angebot der Tennisplätze, Gym und Pool im anliegenden Hotel genutzt.

I work and live in London with my husband, an architect, and our two sons aged 26 and 23.

I spent my childhood holidays in Cornwall and have been bringing my two boys to Mullion and Polurrian Bay every year since they were very small. It was a chance encounter with the previous owner that enabled us to go ahead and purchase our own small part of this beautiful county.

We try and escape to Columbine as much as we can, and since COVID have comer here to work remotely a few weeks a year. it is great to escape the hustle of London to be by the sea and enjoy walks from the cottage along the south west coast path. If you don't fancy that then there's always the coziness of the cottage with a good book.

There is something for everyone on the Lizard whether it's the abundance of beautiful beaches dotted along the peninsula (Kynance Cove the gem), delicious food, surfing, walking the coast path, kayacking around Mullion harbour and beyond, sailing on the Helford river, wildlife, arts and craft or just pure relaxation.

The cottage lies adjacent to the coast path less than 10 minutes walk to Polurrian Cove. Rarely crowded this sandy beach offers surfing on your doorstep. We love to go down early evening in high summer with a beach barbeque and catch the last of the sun as the tide rolls in. Or blow the cobwebs away and walk to Poldu Beach, about a 15 minute walk, for an egg and bacon breakfast bap and "special" hot chocolate with cream and marshmallow. There is also the surf school.

Despite being the most southerly point of England, Cornish weather is always changeable. The cottage includes free use of the leisure facilities of the Polurrian Bay Hotel just metres away, including the tennis court (with views of Mounts Bay), indoor and outdoor pools, jacuzzi and gym. There is also a spa offering a range of treatments to treat and relax you on holiday. You can also take advantage of the informal yet good quality dining.

Mullion village is a short walk away and has a range of shops and fooderies to suit most of your needs including a well-stocked Costcutter and Spa (selling local produce) to bakery with home made bread and Cornish pasties, delicatessen, chemist, post office and the Atlantic Forge for your wetsuits and the latest beach necessity.
