I recommend Steve and Megan family to anyone. They are very kind, friendly, honest people I ever met. They respect in every aspect. They treated the house same as their own home keeping it tidy, looking after the garden in every possible way. To say how friendly they are, I had a fantastic couple of hours with them with a glass of wine and a tasty home made dish. They respectively left the house very nice and tidy. Once again, please let your door open to them, you wouldn't regret it..

Thanks to all of you! You were as perfect guests as any host could wish for. The house was left in excellent condition. For me it was also nice to meet and admire your wonderful four-legged companion, always friendly and perfectly trained.

Dear Chris, thanks for your nice review and recommendation, we are really glad you enjoyed your stay, we are always delighted when our property is really appreciated, and our guests acknowledge the care and efforts we try to put into offering a warm and pleasant stay. This is particularly true with guests like you, so polite and respectful. GUEST DID NOT WANT TO PAY AT ALL FOR AIR CONDITIONING, WHICH IS CLEARLY INDICATED AS EXTRA. CHARGED ONLY 50 EUR FOR 2 WEEKS OF USE, STILL WAS NOT HAPPY AND STARTED TO ARGUE RUDELY NOT TO PAY FOR THE DAMAGES HE CAUSED TO THE PROPERTY. AFTER GETTING AWAY WITH THAT ... STIIIIIIIILL NOT HAPPY, HE IS NOW RECURRING TO FALSE OR DISTORCED STATEMENTS TO DISCREDIT THE PROPERTY… I have been renting this property for 10 years (5 years with owners direct.co.uk) to a large number of holidaymakers, always receiving enthusiastic comments and warm thanks. This is the first complaint I receive and it is sad that it comes in the shape of an articulated fabrication. "IL POGGIO" is a typical Tuscan style villa recently restored with all mod cons, furnished with antiques pieces exactly as described in the pictures. Most people can appreciate this combination, others only like modern furniture. It depends on tastes and cultures. Air conditioning is an extras and its cost is clearly indicated in the website. Before booking, Guest asked me to confirm that air conditioning was “just in 2 bedrooms and not elsewhere in the property"; I confirmed. A supplementary fan was not due, it has been my courtesy to provide it. In second half of July 2015 there have been exceptional weather conditions: torrid temperature with a few violent thunderstorms, hail falls and tornados. In the property, a gazebo was taken away and even a tree near the house was struck down; in Florence about 1000 trees were eradicated and some roofs blown away. No wonder there were power and Internet failures throughout the region! House keeper and I did our best to help but we have no control on atmospheric events or the damage these might cause to power plants or Internet nodes… House keeper, living not far in a secluded cottage and separated property with its own access, is an asset to the Villa being able to assist the guests anytime. Hence the Villa is absolutely exclusive with a big private area of a hectare of fruits, pines and olive trees. Any contrary declaration is false. A so big property needs periodic maintenance: pool needs cleaning once/twice weekly, flowers need water, guests’ wishes need to be attended and unexpected events taken care of (e.g. removing the eradicated tree, replacing the gazebo or the furniture Guest broke…) However guests cannot ask for assistance and then complaining about somebody entering discretely the area surrounding the property to assist them!

Jacqueline and her family are very friendly and very respectful. They left the house very tidy even thou they had a dog. There was absolutely no problem during their stay. I truly wish to have them again and recommended to anybody who would like to host them...

Thanks for the review and for cleaning what was already clean. In fact, what you just removed from the dishwasher should be cleaned regardless of nationality.
