C'est vrai, nous ne sommes pas au centre du village et bien sûr au mois d'Août, Calella de Plafrugell est très cherché comme centre de vacances.

Thankyou for the feedback. The cleaning company was delayed by the work load which is very heavy on the first Friday of July. It is unfortunate that you found the kitchen cupboards greasy. We use dehumidifiers in two of the lower cupboards, this year it is particularly hot and humid. We will look into your feedback, although we stayed the week after and there was no grease. I trust that you had a smooth return journey. Best wishes.

As the first time, it has been an absolute pleasure to host Petra and family in our house. They are very flexible and treat our home as their own. Thankyou for looking after everything do well. Our nieghbours kids were delighted with the chance to play and practice English together in the pool with your youngsters.

Very many thanks for the favourable review. It has been a pleasure to welcome these guests to our holiday home. We are so happy for the house and local area to be enjoyed as we would hope. We look forward to your return visit.

Its a pity that the local shop has not opened this season, as the property is now up for sale and this only became evident after Easter. In the past the shop opened at the end of June until the end of August. There are several ways to walk into the center of Calella, the scenic coastal path normally takes about 25 minutes and is not to be used when carrying shopping. The more direct route using the road is slightly shorter. The heat has indeed been exceptional during the early Summer. As well as using the ventilators provided, we normally create cross drafts by leaving the 3 different windows open during the night, in the top area. Keeping the awning down during the day, over the upper terrace also keeps the inner temperature lower. It is unfortunate that such a heavy internet use was desired and that the capacity required was not foreseen. These are all issues that we will take into account with future guests.

Many thanks for this great write up. It is a joy to learn that our guests fall in love with our favourite spot on the beautiful Costa Brava. The beach mentioned is the Golfet cove, an idyllic spot for snorkeling, swimming out to the rock and enjoying the magnificent coastline and views over the "Hormigas Islands" We obviously need to upgrade our photos, especially since we have enlarged our main terrace and given the outside a new coat of paint.
