We are sorry that Louise feels that she has been misled about the villa and the surrounding area. Many of the points that she raises are actually covered in the Vrbo advert, the comprehensive Welcome Pack we send out and on our two FB pages that we direct potential guests to so we are surprised by her surprise. The house does have a drive and it is perfectly driveable in most conditions. Our neighbours and workmen use it, and for a mountainous country like Montenegro it is perfectly normal. Louise asked us about car hire in January when she enquired about the property and we did tell her it was necessary and we also gave her the name and number of a local agent that we use. The Vrbo advert does say that the location is rural and a search of Google maps of the village and the surrounding area shows what the area is like. The Vrbo advert also highlights that the nearest restaurants are a few minutes drive away so we are not sure why Louise was surprised by the need for a car. We are very surprised about the comments regarding our neighbours’ properties. Not surprisingly we have absolutely no control over how they look. The roof terrace is one of four places that guests can enjoy the sunshine. The two terraces/balconies attached to the bedroom and living spaces both have roofs which give shade yet still are open enough to enjoy the sunshine and view. And both are large enough for sun loungers and tables and chairs. We cannot understand how the house behind the villa can possibly overlook the roof terrace as our villa is taller than it and is actually the tallest house in the area. We are sorry about the brambles. At the start and end of every season we cut them back as much as possible. We too would like our neighbour to control them better but he is very elusive. This is the first time that a guest has complained about them, had previous guests done so we would have taken appropriate action. The pool outlook – again we have absolutely no control over how our neighbours upkeep their properties and we feel it is unfair that we have been marked down for this. And we are sorry about the mattresses – again this is the first time guests have complained about them. Mattresses are a very personal thing and one person’s too soft is another person’s too hard – we aim to have an ‘average’ comfort level

Hi Suzanne Sorry about the problems you had with the wifi. The two devices you mention are entirely separate – the USB device is the old system we had, while the one which plugs into the wall is the new one. It does support multiple devices without needing to plug in anything to them – we successfully used it in November with laptop, tablet and phone. Thank you Adele for your review – we’re glad you enjoyed your stay and thank you for your positive comments about our local agent. There are sun loungers up on the roof terrace landing and we leave it to guests to decide where they want to use them to catch the best sun and views.

We were travelling ourselves on the day that you arrived, and this is the first we have heard that our agent was not available to welcome you. Most of our guests are extremely complimentary about the service and help which she provides. We can only assume that there were special circumstances which prevented her from meeting you and apologise for this. We will look into servicing or replacing the water pump following your comment about the noise. As you say, there is no mains water in any of the villages on Lustica, and most properties need to refill their water using a tanker every week when there is no rain. Our welcome pack explains this and this rate of use is allowed for in our prices, and refills are arranged on request by our agent. We do also explicitly state the property is not wheelchair accessible, but will clarify this further on the site. Part of the beauty of Lustica is that it retains its rugged and rural nature, but unfortunately this means that most properties in the area have limited accessibility. The details about the property on the site are clear that we do not provide toaster, coffee machine and microwave, but we will review this following your feedback as we aim to continually improve the facilities on offer, which we believe do offer excellent value for money compared to equivalent properties in the area.
